The best way to describe Neidr's mood right now would have to be,
“Fuuuuuck!”[Neidr] Sorry, the best way to describe Neidr's mood right now would have to be...
“What the Hell, God? What did I ever do?”[Neidr]

He's punching, thud, a tree, thud, let's just wait for him, thud, to finish.

Ok, The best way to describe Neidr's mood right now would be, 'slight annoyance.' You see, obtaining the vine was a little more difficult than he thought. Either it was too strong to break, or his feeble chicken arms were too weak. Either way, he decided he needed a knife. A knife that would be at the carriage.
And so, he ascends.
Unfortunately, there wasn't a knife in the Carriage, in fact, on closer inspection, there wasn't anything in the Carriage. It must have all fell out earlier. He should've really realized it when he looked for the rope, but alas, he wasn't thinking about the consequences of gravity, the newfound spaciousness of his carriage, or the mountainside littered with debris. He was thinking,
'rope rope rope rope rope rope where's the rope?!'
In his defense, it wasn't exactly easy to see the rather dull colored items he brought with him scattered over the mountainside. Upon realization, Hyll looks down the mountain, his knife is likely down there.
And so, he descends and searches, for two hours. Finding nothing and exhausting himself entirely. By the time he reaches the bottom, he is starting to give up on school life in Rotham. Perhaps, he should just be a wild man and forage for berries and wear animal hides. Perhaps, if he is lucky, someone will come along the same path he used, allowing him to hitchhike. Taking a liking to his new idea, Neidr smiles. His stomach rumbles, interrupting this peaceful moment. He smiles cheekily thinking this would be the perfect time to test his nature survival skills, he grabs the first berry he sees and takes a small bite.

Regardless of what you may think, he isn't entirely hopeless. Although, there are many more steps he should've taken before biting a random berry in the woods, at the very least he knew to take only a small bite to reduce its effects if it happened to be poisonous. Which is good, because it happened to be. Not ten minutes later, Neidr's body breaks out in small, itchy bumps. Tired, itchy, and hungry, Neidr decided he wasn't much of a nature survivalist and hoping for someone to come along the path was his best option.
That, however, did not solve his hunger, in sheer desperation he reached into his pocket to see if he had shoved any road food in there. He did not, but he did shove a small knife in a leather sheath in there. You might think that this should be a cause for joy and celebration. You would be right, but for Neidr who had just spent two hours scouring a mountain looking for this very knife, well, this was where the 'slight annoyance' came from.
And so, he ascends, cutting and gathering a few vines on his way up. Back at the carriage, he immediately gets to work. He was probably going to be late to the school entry ceremony anyway, but it wouldn't do to waste any more time. He quickly applies the splint to the back axel, this doesn't solve the whole issue, however. The wheels are still bound to drift away from one another, which takes us back to where we started. To solve this, Neidr cuts vine sized notches into either side of the axel. He then takes two pieces of vine, tying them securely to the axel and laying them in their respective notches. He then ties them securely to one another. As long as these vines don't fail him, they should provide enough inward force to stop the wheels from drifting apart. Neidr gives a proud smile and walks onto his carriage.

The magic circuit inside is already programmed with a predetermined path. There isn't much he can control besides starting it, stopping it, and, Neidr lets out a huge grin, controlling the speed. Neidr whittled a couple of holes into the bench seat of the carriage, running a vine through it and securing himself to the seat by tying it. With this makeshift seatbelt in place, Neidr, grits his teeth and sets the speed dial as high as it would go.
Have you ever been on a rollercoaster? If you have, this makes this easy. Imagine the moment before Neidr cranks up the dial as the moment before the drop, the rest is as follows. This old ramshackle wagon is now going the speed of a car down an old beaten down mountain path. This wouldn't be too concerning to Neidr, after all, there are no windows within this carriage. Out of sight, out of mind.
What does concern him, is that the planks that make the carriage's sides are starting to flap in the wind. Violently, so much so, that Neidr has a pretty good idea what it looks like outside the Carriage. What's worse is that, although the binding for the back axel is holding, the Carriage feels less stable after every bump and divot. It doesn't take long for the carriage to descend the mountain, maintaining its speed, every hill it reaches causes significant airtime. At this point, Neidr has put the possibility of crashing out of his mind. For now, he'll just enjoy the ride, as for the loud creaking sound that occurs upon every landing... it will probably be fine.
By the time the carriage reaches the capitol of Rotham, there is nary a piece of wood left. A shoddy construction led to it being stripped entirely of its wooden walls and ceiling, leaving naught, but a frame. This speed has completely exhausted its supply of mana crystals, so it can only slowly roll up to the front gates of Rotham.
Neidr looks more like the wildman he dreamed to be than the elegant noble he is. His hair, stuck in the air from the earlier force of the wind, his clothes, riddled with holes, and his white shirt, stained red with blood from his arms. The two guards at the front gate have seen a lot in their day, but this was... different to say the least. Upon witnessing the front gates of Rotham, Neidr laughed maniacally!
“Finally!”[Neidr] he screamed while cutting the vine off from his waist. Jumping out of the carriage was the last straw, as the back axel finally fell apart, causing the carriage to crash into the ground. Neidr stared at the towering walls with a nasty smirk on his lips.
“Rotham.”[Neidr]
