Liu Feng finished reading the books reading the history of Infinite University as well as the history of Central District. “So central district was the first stronghold of China, with the rest of the districts build later when the first generation of cultivators reclaimed the wild lands.” Liu Feng thought as he rubbed his eyes.

“I have two more days left in the central district, I should go and register at the smithing organization as well as the forging organization.” Liu Feng decided his next course of action in central district.

Leaving the hotel he headed towards the Arts Organization area. Three white buildings about 10 stories tall were situated right next to each another.

The buildings had different names at their entrances. The building for alchemy, forging and smithing respectively, Liu Feng headed towards the armour forging organization first.

“Since I already am able to make a first layer runic circle for the interspatial ring combination technique, I should register in the forging organization first.” Liu Feng thought as he entered the forging building.

The building had a standard interior with a lobby with a reception and a waiting area with two stairs one both ends of the building, left and right.

He headed to the reception and asked the receptionist which was a woman around the age of 25 with red curly hair.

“Good evening, how may I assist you today.” The receptionist asked.

“Are there books of techniques for a rank 1 master forger?” Liu Feng asked as he did not want to use the interspatial ring combination technique, to take the rank 1 master forger exam.

“Yes we have a book with techniques for a rank 1 master forger, it costs 1 purple dram. Will you be buying it?” The attendant asked.

“Yes I would like to purchase it, and also the next exam for a rank 1 master forger?” Liu Feng gave the attendant 1 purple dram.

“The rank up exams happen every month and it is free, the next exam would be 4 days from now. To become a rank 1 forger you will have to display 2 of the 3 technique correctly” The attendant took the purple dram and gave Liu Feng the book with techniques for Rank 1 master forgers.

“Thank you” Liu Feng said as he walked out of the building keeping the book in his ring.

“I have 4 days to learn 3 techniques from the book before taking the exam. Dammit more studying to do argghh!” Liu Feng thought.

He headed into the weapon smithing building, the interior looked exactly the same as the forging building.

Heading towards the receptionist he asked, “Do you sell a book of techniques for a rank 1 Master Smith? And when is the next exam for a rank 1 Master Smith?”

“Yes we do, it cost 1 purple dram and the next exam is in 3 days. To pass the exam would require you to display 2 of the 3 techniques.” The receptionist said taking out a book.

Liu Feng gave her a purple dram and took the book, thanking her he exited the building and headed back into the infinity building.

“I have been lacking in armour since day 1, I should purchase a good armour set since I have the money to” Liu Feng thought.

Heading inside infinite building Liu Feng requested for the same attendant who attended to him earlier, showing his VIP card he headed to the VIP room.

“Good to see you again so soon sir, is there anything I can help you with?”

“I would like to purchase a rank F armour set” Liu Feng said.

“Armour sets are separated into 4 categories. Headwear, Overall, Gloves and Boots. What is your budget for the armour set?” The attendant asked

“What is the most expensive grade F armour set you have? And also what is your name, since you will be serving me the next time I visit Infinity building.” Liu Feng asked as he liked this attendant.”

“My name is Wei Ming, I am the 8th floor manager of the Infinite Building. The most expensive grade F set we have is the Sage’s set, it is made by the devas and was found by Dynasty’s Elite Unit on an exploration to the deva planet. It is at grade F, suitable for beginners. It cost a total of 50 purple dram for the entire set which consists of the sage’s circlet, the sage’s overall, the sage’s gloves and the sage’s boots.”

“Would you like to look at it?” Wei Ming asked.

“Yes I would like to look at it” Liu Feng said getting up and heading to the book shelves to browse through the books, while waiting for the attendant to come back.

After a few minutes Wei Ming came back and took out the Sage’s set from an interspatial ring.

Liu Feng looked at the Sage’s set noticing the distinct design of the devas on the armour. It looked similar to what some of the devas were wearing in his father’s memories.

The circlet was matt black made of some type of stone, the overall was made of scales of sorts with fur and the sleeves of the wrist and at the bottom of the pants.

It had a glossy finish on the scales, making the scales glisten under the light of the chandelier. The gloves were black and fingerless only having a single metal plate on the back side of the hand.

The only unique thing about the boots was that it was more like a long sock than a boots, which puzzled Liu Feng. It was also black with metal rings around the calf part.

“Would you like me to explain functions and abilities of the armour set sir?” Wei Ming asked.

“Yes please go ahead.” Liu Feng was curious as to what the abilities were of this armour set.

“The circlet is able to regulate the body temperature making it ideal for any environment, as it is made with Catonite a material found on the Deva planet.

The Overalls are made from the scales of a beast, but we still have not figured out the origin. The functions of the overall allows to user to negate 10% of the damage the user takes.

The gloves allows the users to control their Qi more efficiently as the metal plates on the gloves, are made from Axonite another material originated on the planet of the Devas. This material conducts Qi naturally”

As for the boots it is made from the feathers of an unknown creature from the deva planet allowing the wearer to have an increase of agility

This is all that we know regarding the Sage’s Set.”

“Thank you for the detailed explanation Wei Ming.” Liu Feng said taking out an orange dram and handing it to Wei Ming.

Wei Ming handed Liu Feng back 50 purple dram along with the Sage’s Set. Putting all the items into his ring Liu Feng headed back to his hotel room.

Taking out the Sage’s Armour Set, Liu Feng started to refine it to make it his own. After 40 minutes Liu Feng successfully refined the sage’s set, he noticed that was a single engraving of a cloud on each of the Sage armour.

“What is up with this engraving of the cloud?” Liu Feng said out loud.

“Time to put on the Sage’s set and see how I look.” Liu Feng said with excitement as he put on the armour, placing the circlet on top of his head. He immediately felt his body temperature being regulated.

Liu Feng walk in front of the mirror and looked at himself.

His hair was black and unkempt, with the black circlet around his head he gave off an even more eerie vibe.

Looking at his face he had a thick eyebrow with grew in an upward fashion, and his eyes were hazelnut the colour of his mother’s eyes. He had his mother’s nose as well which was sharp and narrow which gave off a noble aura. His mouth was like his father’s which was always in a smirk.

Liu Feng felt tears well up in his eyes. He always avoided looking into the mirror, as he always thought about who his parents were. He always tried to shape the way his parents looked based in the way he looked, but he could never get their faces right.

Over time he had begun to avoid mirrors as looking at himself would form a hole in his heart making him feel lost and abandoned.

But now with the memories of his parents, he could now look into the mirror with confidence as he could now cherish his facial features no more having to feel lost or abandoned.

Looking at the Sage’s armour with it all black colour, it made him look like a ninja.

“This all black colour makes it seem as if I am on a covet mission or something, but black is my favourite colour after all.”

“I kinda off like it” Liu Feng said wiping away the tears from his face.

Liu Feng un-equipped his armour and place them in his Qi sea beside Kumo. Equipping it from his dantian would allow him to immediately wear it, he did not have to manually wear it every time. Thus making it efficient for combat.

“Time to hit the books.” Liu Feng dragged himself to the study table taking out the book with techniques for a Rank 1 Master Forger.

Liu Feng studied for an entire day, neglecting cultivating as well. “Finally I have fully grasped the three Rank 1 forging techniques. The which increases the defence of my armour slightly, the which increases the frost resistance of my armour and lastly the which increases the fire resistance of my armour.”

“Time to apply this techniques on to my Sage Set” Liu Feng took out the armour from his dantian.

Drawing a first layer runic circle with the relevant sigils, Liu Feng applied the protection technique on all of the Sage’s armour set. He then applied the fire resistance technique as well as the frost resistance technique, with their relevant runic circle.

Looking at the engravings of the cloud on the Sage’s armour set Liu Feng recalled what he read in the book.

The body will engrave itself with the engraving of the first item it refines, and any subsequent item refined by the body will take that engraving as well. The engraving is an indicator for the Rank of the item as well as the ownership of that item.

“So any item I refine will have the engraving of the cloud.” Liu Feng thought keeping back the Sage’s set into his Qi sea.

“Time to start studying the techniques for a rank 1 master smith.” Liu Feng took out the book from his ring and started studying.

Since he has no knowledge on Weapon Smithing at all he had to study harder.

“So the upgrading of Kumo using beast cores must have been a technique!” Liu Feng jumped from his chair.

He started pacing the room back and forth.

“If I remember correctly every time Kumo upgrades in rank using a beast core it was aided with the red Qi from my necklace. If my theory is correct the technique used to upgrade Kumo must have been the technique to upgrade celestial armaments that my father was trying to steal from the clan of my mother, the asura blacksmith clan.”

“I should avoid using my Kumo in public unless there is a dire need. Since that there are devas colluding with humans, I cannot risk being found out as I don’t know if Kumo will give off any trace of the technique being used.” Liu Feng thought releasing how big of a secret he had been keeping with him.

He had also taken for granted the technique used in upgrading Kumo.

Heading back to the studying Liu Feng was able to comprehend the three rank 1 smithing techniques in a day’s time.

The techniques were the which decreases the weight of the weapon for the holder, the which increases the durability of the weapon slightly and the which increases the force generated by the weapon.

“Time to apply this techniques on to Kumo.” Liu Feng took out Kumo placing it on the first layer runic circles for the respective techniques.

After the application of the techniques, Liu Feng wielded Kumo and started swinging it with the eight ethereal strikes.

“I can clearly feel a difference. It feels lighter, more sturdy and the force has increases as well.” Liu Feng said out loud smiling as he swung Kumo faster and faster.

Finished with the testing Liu Feng kept Kumo back in Qi sea. “Tomorrow is the day for the rank 1 master smith exam and the rank 1 master forger exam is the day after tomorrow. Guess I will have to extend my stay in Central district for 2 more days.”

Liu Feng headed down to the hotel reception to extend his stay.
