Movement
*Bangg* *Bangg* *Bangg*
In a cave in the middle of the wildlands, the sound of the sound barrier-breaking was constantly being echoed. Liu Feng was training with Kumo trying to familiarise himself with his newfound strength.
Liu Feng now has 3 dantians in his body as he broke through the Qi refinement 1 month ago but he did not want to cultivate any further, as he felt he could not keep his emotions in check.
“There is still one more week for the competition, I have already cultivated the cloak of the night to the peak stage allowing me to suppress and hide my cultivation anywhere below 2 realms. It also allows me to form a cloak with my Qi allowing me to hide my presence and my form itself plus it negates some of the damage I take in combat.” Liu Feng grinned knowing that he has one more ace up his sleeve.
Liu Feng’s new dantian was also red as he went through the process of breaking his dantian with the red Qi from his necklace. But sadly he did not get any new memories, now when he cultivates he can fill his dantian with 45% of Qi thanks to advanced asura Qi refinement art which gave him a 5% increase.
“Now since everything is set time to go back.” Liu Feng said out loud opening the boulder at the entrance of his cave.
Spending time alone like this allowed Liu Feng to control his rage and the urge to kill and destroy.
“Hopefully I don’t lose control during the competition.”
With his newfound speed due to the increase in cultivation, he was able to make it back to the west gate fairly quickly and with ease. Just as he was about to reach the gate he suppressed his cultivation level to the Qi gathering 9.
“Qi gathering 9 should be enough to win the competition.” Liu Feng thought to himself.
After entering through the gates he headed back home and collapsed on to his bed.
“Finally a bed lets go have a shower first and then order something to eat,” Liu Feng said happily skipping to the toilet.
Switching on his laptop he started browsing the market place waiting for his food to come.
“Is there anything I need to increase my battle prowess?” He thought to himself as he scrolled through.
“I have an attack skill, defense skill, and a boost skill, I don’t have a regeneration skill for body and a movement skill. Which one should I get? I have 99 blue dram and 6 white dram plus miscellaneous furs and pelts which I can sell for about 2 or 3 blue drams.”
“Ahhh movement skills are relatively cheaper compared to body regeneration skills. I will be getting a movement skill then.” Liu Feng thought as he searched the movement skill section.
“This movement skill looks interesting, first 25 steps allows the cultivator to move as fast as a man and the next 25 steps allows the cultivator to move as fast as a ghost the subsequent 25 steps allows the cultivator to move as fast as an Asura and the final 25 steps allow the cultivator to move as fast as a Deva” Liu Feng read out the description of the movement skill shocked that there was the word Deva in it.

Interested in the martial skill he checked out the price and was shocked that it was selling for 1 purple dram. Looking at the other movement skill they were priced from 1 blue dram to 25 blue drams.
“What the hell why is it so expensive, I should head to the Phoenix building tomorrow to check it out. If it actually does emit red Qi I will buy it immediately.”
*Knock Knock*
“That must be my food, finally it's here I am starving.” He thought as he went to the door.
The next morning Liu Feng woke up and went to the market place to sell the furs and the pelts which got him 2 blue drams he then exchanged 100 blue drams to 1 purple dram, which brought his assets to 1 purple, 1 blue, and 6 white drams.
Once that was done he headed to the Phoenix building to enquire the 100 steps to heaven. Before he entered the building he fully showcased his cultivation of Qi refinement 1 before stepping into the scanner.
As soon as the attendants saw that they went to him, but Liu Feng interrupted them and asked for Chu Meng as his attendant.
“Young sir it is you what brings you here today? Ah, your cultivation level.”
“I came here today to enquire about a movement skill. As for my cultivation level, there is nothing for you to know.”
“Ahh yes yes since Sir is a regular customer follow me to the VIP room in the basement.”
Liu Feng followed Chu Meng into the lift.
“Do you have the movement skill called 100 steps to heaven?” Liu Feng asked
“100 steps to heaven? Let me think. Ah yes yes the phoenix building was the one who posted the ad on to the market place. Yes, we do have it do you want to see it?” Chu Meng said as he escorted Liu Feng into the VIP room serving him tea.
“Yes, I would like to take a look at it.”
“Please give me a moment to bring it here.” Chu Meng said as he exited the VIP room.
The VIP room had a fully carpeted floor and a luxurious wallpaper on the walls with two sofas and a table in between them and a chandelier in the ceiling with a wide array of alcohol at the side of the room. “This looks nice.” Liu Feng said as he sat down on the sofa drinking his tea as he waited for Chu Meng.
“Sorry for the wait young sir, I have brought the movement skill but before that let me give you this VIP card which can be used at our sister branches as well as at our main branch. Our sister branches are the turtle building in the north district, the tiger building in the south district, dragon building in the east district, and our main branch is the infinity building in the central district.”
“This card will allow you access into the VIP rooms as well as the yearly end of the year auction at our main branch in the central district.” Chu Meng explained details about the VIP card as he took out the jade slip which contained the 100 steps to heaven movement skill.

“Ohhh this is the 100 steps to heaven movement skill” Liu Feng was shocked to see it. As he did see Qi emitting from it but it was not red Qi but instead gold Qi.
After awhile Liu Feng figured out that things that emit a red Qi are from asura origin and things that emit a gold Qi are of deva origin.
After a while of thinking, Liu Feng decided to grit his teeth and buy it.
“This cost 1 purple dram right?”
“Yes, young sir this cost 1 purple dram, if this is too expensive might I suggest other movement skills?”
“Don’t need I will be taking it” Liu Feng said with a firm expression as he took out a purple dram from his ring and placed it on the table.
“Might I ask the origin of this skill?”
“A buyer sold it to us but please forgive me as I cannot reveal who the buyer is.” Chu Meng who was still in shock said as he took the purple dram and handed the jade slip to Liu Feng.
“No worries also I would like to sell you information as well might I know if you are interested?” Liu Feng asked
“Ahh information yes yes I am interested but what type of information is it?” Chu Meng asked filled with curiosity.
“Bai Si is dead”
“What? Did the clan from the central district kill him? But I will need, proof as well” Chu Meng spoke.
“Yes, the young master of that clan killed him and gave me his head to do as I see fit with it.” Liu Feng said as he took out Bai Si’s head from his interspatial ring.
“This this is Bai Si’s head. Yes young sir I am willing to buy this information from you for 50 blue drams.” Chu Meng said without hesitation handing 50 blue drams to Liu Feng.
“Since I bought that information from young sir last time I was promoted to 11th-floor manager.” Chu Meng said with pride.
“Ohh in that case if I have any other information I will look for you next time. Liu Feng said as he handed the head to Chu Meng.
“I am honored young sir, let me see you out.” Chu Meng said.
“No worries I will head out myself you can’t be carrying a bloody head all the way to the entrance.
“Ahh I totally forgot about that, see you next time young sir.” Chu Meng said happily knowing his next promotion will be soon.
As soon as Liu Feng exited the Phoenix building he headed home and place the jade slip on his head allowing information on the 100 steps to heaven enter his mind.
“Ahhh this movement skill is indeed as the description says allowing the cultivator to move at extreme speeds and not just that it also increases the cultivator's reaction speed. But cultivating this skill does not seem easy at all.” Liu Feng sighed.
To cultivate this movement skill one as to overload his nerves with Qi causing his body an immense amount of pain and agony, and at each step, the pain will increase 2x more than the previous step.
“Let’s try this out,” Liu Feng said with determination as he sat down in a lotus position. He started to transmit Qi into his nervous system, at a certain point he started to feel an intense amount of pain.
“ARGHHHH this is worst when my ARghh dan..tian..breaks ARGhhh this……is……..insane”
The screams from his room did not stop for an hour. Covered in sweat Liu Feng was lying on his floor covered in sweat with blood dripping from his eyes, nose, mouth, and ears.
“The first step completed but I got to rest for a while before testing it out. And if each step is more painful than the previous step I will probably die even before the 50th step.”
After resting for a while Liu Feng got up and tested his speed by running back and forth in his room. “My speed had definitely improved, as for my reaction speed there is no definitive way to test it other than in combat. But with another 6 more days till the competition, I will be able to test it than, hopefully, I will be able to get it to the early stage before that. But the pain is insane unless I use a pill.” Liu Feng immediately rushed out of his house and went to the marketplace.
“I would like to buy pain-numbing pills.” Liu Feng asked the store owner.
“One pill is 50 green dram how many do you need?” The store owner asked.
“I would like to buy 30” handing 15 blue drams to the store owner.
“Here you go” the store owner handed the pills to Liu Feng with a perplexed face. As no-one uses these pills nowadays with healing pills which can recover almost any injury.
Walking back home Liu Feng passed Lei Jun’s father's medicine shop. Looking at it he saw Lei Jun’s father and mother busily working inside as Lei Jun was outside tending to customers.
Liu Feng wanted to go and say something but he could not bring himself to say anything and continued walking back home.
Lei Jun saw Liu Feng walking past the shop and wanted to go and speak to him but looking at his family, “My sister died because of him and he did not even show up for my sister’s funeral” his hatred for Liu Feng resurfaced.
Six days passed by in a flash as Liu Feng showed up at school with a suppressed cultivation of Qi gathering 9, he has also mastered 100 steps to heaven at the early stage.
“Time for the scholarship competition” Liu Feng murmured with a grin.

Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
