Chapter 20
Tessa has been studying the crystal in my chest to find a way to remove it. She told me that if it was destroyed without properly removing it I would die, and it might even damage my soul. Creating the Demon King caused rips in my soul so the crystal could do even more damage.
Her work on the crystal provided some interesting results. She could create a pseudo blood crystal that could mimic the healing ability, but to a much weaker degree. It wouldn't leach mana, but it would use it to heal wounds. Severed limbs were a lost cause though.
I learned this crystal would also stall my aging so I could basically live forever unless some one ripped the crystal out of my chest. I liked the idea of being able to live as long as Tessa and not have to switch bodies.
Tessa may have been a half elf but that was plenty to give her eternal youth. Elves stop aging once they look about 24 and cannot die of old age. Tessa was a wood elf which is what dominated the population of elves.
The elves had better regeneration, strength, eye sight, hearing, dexterity and reaction time. Everything about an elf was superior to a human and the only race that was better were the beastmen. High elves were equal to a beastman plus had strong magic affinities, but they were arrogant and looked down on all other races.
All races came together to fight the high elves even the sub race elves. After a long war the high elves were over whelmed by numbers and almost wiped out. The high elves were even more beautiful than the wood elves and released a natural pheromone that attracted women and men.
A lot of the captured high elves were sold as sex slaves and even the men were bought when the women ran out. The natural charm made people lust after them regardless of gender.
The wood elves being the majority became the leaders and the few high elves that escaped went into hiding. I was a little curious about how strongly their charm would affect me if I met one, but I new that was unlikely. Tessa told me the charm hardly effected other elves, but that every now and then a high elf with pheromones that affected its own kind were born.
The pseudo crystal also granted eternal youth, but you could survive from it being torn out. I knew this was break through magic for humans so I told her to keep it a secret since I didn't think humans were ready for it yet. I asked you to make one for Fraya, Ruby, Cal and Leon. Isaac told me he didn't want one.

This kind of magic could put them in trouble so I told them to keep it a secret too. Jeanette saw them all getting the red crystals and wanted one too. I had Tessa make a fake one that Jeanette wore as a necklace since I didn't want her to have the body of a six year old forever. Tessa and I planned to give her a real one on her 18th birthday as a gift.
I was happy and felt a sense of comfort knowing that I wouldn't spend eternity alone. I was going to stay here with Tessa and the girls to guard Jeanette so I wouldn't be able to fix my soul before they killed him. I wanted to be prepared so I had Tessa make extra pseudo blood crystals that I held onto incase someone had theirs stolen.
I know I was being a little selfish, but I couldn't help how I felt.
I was currently having coffee with Sam.
Sam:"Have you seen the dwarves hero he just arrived this morning. He already has two weapons."
I spat out my coffee and it dirtied his white clothes.
Sam:"Hey!!! What did you do that for!"
Falon:"I was surprised!"
Ribbons started covering the dirty spots and after a second they were clean again.
Sam:"They make him pretty tough. It's some golden fur trench coat and a belt. I couldn't cut his skin and he was crazy strong."
Falon:"You already fought him?"
Sam:"Yeah! I bound him so he couldn't attack me but I couldn't do any damage."
Falon:"What about the beastmen hero."
Sam:"They haven't got her yet. I think we're going to meet them during the attack on Gart."
Falon:"So I won't get to meet that hero until after the battle."
Sam:"You know the only enjoyable fights I get are when I fight without my weapon. If it against a hero neither of us can win, but anyone else and it's too easy."
Falon:"Even if no weapons are used your quite skilled in martial arts so a normal fight probably isn't to hard either."
Sam:"My father taught me boxing and I perfected my personal style while street fighting. I guess you don't even know what I'm talking about."
Falon:"No I understand. I took a little boxing, but didn't stay in it since it felt to restricting."
Sam:"Boxing exists in this world?"
Falon:"No I took it while in another world."
Sam:"Another! Do you mean mine!"
Falon:"From what I've heard it sounds like the same world."
Sam:"Were you summoned?"
Falon:"No I traveled there."
Sam:"Wow so I can go home after I'm done here?"
Falon:"No I reincarnate every time I die so you can't return."

Sam:"That's a cool power how did you get it?"
Falon:"A spell but it won't be usable again for a while."
Sam:"Oh well I'm having to much fun here to go back anyway."
Falon:"If my theory is right time flows differently between our two worlds. 8 years back on earth is only 1 year here."
Sam:"I don't really care about ever returning to that world."
Falon:"I personally like this world more too."
We finished our conversation and parted ways. I went to meet Dean the dwarven hero. I found him drinking in a tavern with other dwarves.
*They seem to really like their hero.*
Falon:"Hello Dean I'm Falon."
Dean:"Hey sit down and have a drink Falon."
I sat at his table and started drinking.
I wanted to know a little about the dwarves so I started talking to him and the dwarves around him. The dwarves live in tribes some underground and some above. They live long lives 200-300 years like beastmen, but didn't have eternal youth like elves and some demons.
They were born with more talent in crafts then other races and passed down secret crafting techniques in their families. The dwarves that lived above ground looked mostly like a race of little kids while the underground dwarves looked tougher.
Falon:"What do you plan to do after the war Dean."
Dean:"I plan on returning to the dwarven city I was summoned in."
Falon:"Doesn't it feel uncomfortable living with a race that is so different."
Dean:"Not at all I fit in well."
I found that hard to believe since he was about six foot seven with spiky blonde hair and blue eyes. He had pure blonde hair like Tessa not dirty blonde like Sam.
Falon:"What about starting a family won't it be hard if there's only dwarven women."
I thought the other dwarves might be angry but I guess they were to drunk to realize. If they were sober and knew I was saying their women looked like kids this might have turned bad.
Dean:"No no I prefer that. I'm a lolicon after all."
He said that with a big smile and chugged down his beer. I decided to get up and leave. I made a mental note to keep Jeanette away from him.
After another few months it was finally time for the attack on the capital so the soldiers and heroes left. I felt a little sad watching them leave. I had received the special enchanted glasses that I ordered and I was now wearing them, but I wanted them for the fight against the Demon King.
I wanted to keep my family and friends safe so I started training them in the martial arts I knew. Fraya was the weakest even with the pseudo blood crystal so I taught her a little sword play and how to use my guns. She would be the only one I shared this technology with.
For now she was using my guns during practice since I couldn't have ones made for her right now. Cal and Ruby improved the most from learning martial arts and with the crystals their stamina went up along with strength. I felt like I was creating a pretty powerful little group.
I taught Jeanette a little since she saw everyone else doing it and wanted to learn too. I made sure they all learned dark magic incase they needed a disguise, but Tessa was the only one who was any good at it. The others could do small changes like hair color or skin color.
I told everyone about Tessa and my relationship. They told me that they already figured it out. Apparently Cal wanted to sleep with me again one night and saw something that she shouldn't have.
Jeanette:"I want to go swimming daddy!!!"
I jumped up when she said that.
Falon:"Then lets go!"
I collected all the girls and we went for a swim in a nearby lake. We were all pretty comfortable with each other so we swam naked. Fraya was the only one that seemed embarrassed, but she was talked into joining us. I watched Jeanette splash around making sure she didn't go to a deep part.
Falon:"Things are really peaceful right now."
Tessa was standing next to me in the water.
Tessa:"Yeah it makes you forget that a war is being waged not to far from here."
Jeanette:"Daddy! Mommy! I found a fish!"
Jeanette was holding a small fish that looked kind of like a gold fish.
Falon:"If you don't put it back in the water it will die."
She seemed to panic after I told her that and dropped the fish into the water and ran up to me crying.
Jeanette:"Waaahhh! I didn't mean to kill it wahhhh!"
Falon:"It's ok it's not dead you set it free."
I said while patting her head. She looked up at me and started drying her tears.
Jeanette:"Really. *sniff*"
Falon:"Yes really."
She smiled and ran off the play in the water some more.
Tessa:"I don't know if I'll be able to part with her when the Dranian Kingdom is restored."
Falon:"Maybe we will be aloud to live in the royal palace with her."
I said while smiling.
Tessa:"I doubt the people who will really be in charge will allow it."
Falon:"Your probably right. We could always run away with her."
Tessa:"If you suggest it I might actually do it."
Falon:"Lets just see how things go for now."
We finished up our swim and returned to Haven.Back to Main Page
