Chapter 6
********************200 YEARS AGO************************
My name was Isaac. I was born with red hair and trained to be a knight. My skill was unmatched, but the only magic I could do was strengthening my body, but I didn't even need to use magic to beat any single opponent. When I turned 14 I met the most beautiful woman in the world named Tessa.
She was 16 and had beautiful long blue hair, a small nose with tiny pink lips. She had an amazing figure with a fairly large sized bust, and was about five foot seven.
I was assigned as her instructor to teach her how to use the sword. She was an amazing student even though she didn't have the physical capabilities that the red heads were born with. She was already a master with fire magic and I made her spend more time studying body strengthening magic.
She was the first person to ever successfully fuse a sword with fire magic and be able to wield it. I was actually kind of jealous.
When she turned 20, I was no match for her. In terms of skill I was still better, but her swordsmanship combined with her magic was deadly.
She was given the title First Knight since she was unstoppable on a battlefield. First Knight is a title that is held by the most powerful swordsman in the Dranian Kingdom, and she was the first woman to receive it.
I had fallen in love with her, but I couldn't confess. I felt like I had nothing to offer her, and one day I heard that she was engaged. She was moving back to her home town to live with her new husband.
The night I received the news I went out to a local pub so that I could drown myself in alcohol. After I was wasted I decided it was time to head home. On the walk back I saw someone standing near the out skirts of the forest. It was Tessa, but she was wearing tight leather pants and a black shirt. The collar on the shirt came down exposing some of her cleavage.
I was so drunk that I didn't think what she was wearing was strange and started walking towards her. She turned around and ran into the forest, and I chased after her.
After a few minutes I finally caught up to her. She had her back towards me so I put my hand on her shoulder and turned her around. When I saw her face she had a smile on it and she leaned in to kiss me. When our lips met I felt more happiness than I can describe, but after a few seconds I lost consciousness.
*************************Present Day**************************
Gart City was a gigantic circle with walls circling each section of the city. After entering the main gate your in the poorest part of Gart where the peasants live, and there are inns with a few shops and some merchants. It is also the largest sections since there are so many peasants.
Once you pass through the second gate your in the merchants section. In this section there are a lot of shops where you can buy anything you want, and much more expensive inns.

After passing through the next gate you arrive in the knights section. This is mostly residential where the knights and their families live along with training facilities for training. Only the knights with brown hair live here unless they want to live in a lower section, but most decide to live here.
The next gate leads you to Vaneth Academy which had its own section of the city.
Passing through the next ring leads to the nobilities residents and the last gate leads to the royal palace.
Vaneth Academy was huge with many buildings including a coliseum for battles. Each building in the Academy was made of a light blueish brick that would redirect magic attacks towards the sky. There was a fountain in front of the main building which is the first one you see when you pass through their gate. The main building is where the teachers offices were including the headmasters.
The three of us walked into the main building and saw a receptionist sitting at a desk so we approached her.
Falon:"Excuse me the three of us would like to enroll here."
Receptionist:"You'll need to be tested by one of the teachers. Please fill out these papers and bring them back to me."
She handed each of us a paper and we went to sit down at a nearby table. The paper had questions on it that asked name, age, current social status and ability. I was a warrior Mage so I wrote that while Ruby put swordswoman and Tessa put healer. Since only people with brown hair weren't allowed to be a student at Vaneth we new it wouldn't be to hard to enroll.
We brought the papers back to her and after she signed them she put them into an envelope.
Receptionist:"We will put you in the temporary housing until the headmaster approves your application. Once approved one of the teachers will test each of your skills."
She gave us directions and told us the dorm manager would give us a room. She gave us a blue bracelet to prove that we were guests and not trespassers.
We immediately headed to the temporary housing. The dorm manager was a nice brown haired old lady who's job is to take care of the guests of Vaneth Academy. We each got our own rooms. Later that night the dorm manager came to get us to eat. After we ate we all went back to our rooms and went to sleep.
I woke up early the next day and went to the kitchen and grabbed some bread to eat like I use to do back at the orphanage. On my way back to the room the dorm manager caught me, but she didn't seem to care that I stole the bread.
Falon:"Excuse me ma'am would it be alright if I took a walk around the campus."
Dorm Manager:"Of course but make sure to wear that bracelet you were given."
Falon:"I will. Thank you."
I left almost immediately still worried she might say something about the bread.
I decided to walk to the coliseum since I could feel magic coming from it. When I arrive there were two mages battling. They both had short blue hair and were average looking.

One of them had a wall of earth up in front of him. He hid behind it and used magic to throw stones at amazing speeds towards the the other Mage. The other one was using both hands to throw fire balls. One hand shot them at the wall slowly chipping away at it and the other hand was destroying all the rocks that came at him.
The earth magic user seemed to be getting tired while the fire user looked very bored.
I could see a girl standing at the edge of the arena waiting for the fight to end. She looked around five foot five with long curly brown hair cute features and a rather small bust.
The earth magic user jumped out from behind his wall and rushed towards the fire user. The fire user tossed a fire ball right at him, but the earth user threw up a light barrier. The fire ball bounced right off the barrier which made the earth user smile. The fire user gathered a large amount of mana into his hand and blew a huge gust of wind towards the earth user which sent him flying back into the side of the coliseum. He was knocked out.
I noticed the fire ball was headed right towards the brown haired girl, but since she was looking forward she didn't notice it coming down at her.
I placed my hands on my legs and used body modification on them. If anyone would have been looking at me it would have looked like I disappeared. I was able to reach the girl in time and I stood in front of her covered my arm in water magic and slapped the fire ball away.
After it went flying the girl finally realized what almost happened and fell to her knees. The fire user also realized and came running towards us.
Falon:"Are you ok."
Girl:"yyyes."
I reached my hand out towards her and she took it. I helped her back onto her feet and the fire user arrived.
Fire user:"Are you alright!"
Girl:"Yes I'm fine this man saved me."
He turned towards me and bowed.
Fire user:"Thank you for saving my friend."
Falon:"It's fine but she shouldn't have been standing on the field."
Girl:"oh I forgot. Stef there's some urgent business that we need your help with."
*So his name is Stef.*
Stef:"Alright lead the way and thank you again for saving her."
Falon:"It's fine I couldn't let such a cute girl get charred right in front of me."
The girl started to blush and turned her face away so I couldn't see.
Girl:"It's really urgent so follow me."
The girl started walking away at a fast speed.
Stef:"If I see you again I'll be sure to make her properly thank you."
Stef followed after the girl and when the two of them were out of sight I fell to the ground. The aches in my bones returned and I had a brain splitting headache.
Falon:"Shit. I overdid it. I destroyed my legs."
Blood was beginning to pool around me as it poured out of my pants leg. My body couldn't handle the rapid speed I was traveling at so my legs broke. I used magic to heal them, but the damage was so bad it took me over an hour to completely fix them, but the headache only lessened and the aches didn't go away.
The earth magic user had already been taken away to be healed but no one seemed to notice me. I got up and went towards one of the buildings used for advanced healing classes.
It had been a long time since I was last here, but it didn't change very much. I walked into the head teachers room looking for the most advanced healer I could find.
I wanted to have them do a check up on me to see what the problem with all these aches and this headache. I had asked Tessa to try healing me a few days ago, but it only stopped the aches and blurry vision for about 10 minutes. I was glad I found these glasses because seeing a blur of everything all the time would be annoying.
The head teacher in healing was a really old man with a long white beard.
Old Man:"What is it you need young man."
Falon:"I would like for you to check if there's anything wrong with my body. I've had aches all over blurry vision and a killer headache."
The old man had me sit down and he took out some kind of orb.
Old Man:"Place your hand on this orb."
I did what he told me and felt it drain some of my mana.
Old Man:"Ok give me a minute."
The old man put the orb onto a desk and placed both of his hands on it and closed his eyes. After a few moments he opened them back up and turned towards me.
Old Man:"It's bad young man. You have mana poisoning."
Falon:"What does that mean."
Old Man:"Some how your body absorbed an abnormal amount of mana and it was to much for it to bear. Your body will now degrade. Your muscles will get weaker and your bones brittle. Your eyes will get worse, but with those glasses you should be able to see until your completely blind."
Falon:"Is there any way to fix this."
Old Man:"There is no cure so you have two options."
Falon:"What are they?"
Old Man:"You could pay a master class soul magician to remove your mana from your body. You will lose the ability to use magic forever. Your eyes won't get any better but your body won't degrade anymore and you can live out the rest of your life as a normal person.
Falon:"What's the other option?"
Old Man:"Use body strengthening magic to old off your symptoms for as long as possible and hope for the best. This option will only let you live for another two years at most."
Falon:"Thank you doctor. I need time to think."
I got up and left his office.
*So............. when I forcefully aged my body it must have absorbed to much mana. I ended up killing myself in this life.*
I headed back towards the dorm thinking about how there is no way I'm gonna give up my magic which gives me two years. I decided to try to relax and take a nap.Back to Main Page
