Chapter 15
"Good morning," The man at the butcher shops says from behind a counter, and I can see that he is cutting meat.
"I have some bear meat I want to sell." Hopefully, being blunt will get me money quickly. I've got a lot to sell, though, so I might have to visit other places.
"How much do you want to sell?" He asks and looks up.
"I've got a thousand pounds." His eyes bulge for a second, but he contains himself.
"I'll give you a credit for every pound." Yes! I think he's going to buy all of it! I wonder what I should do with it, though. I don't see anywhere good to place it, and the counter with the clean meat definitely wouldn't work.
"Alright, where do you want it?" I ask him.
"You can bring the cart around back and I'll unload and weigh it." Hm... doesn't he have inventory too? People have statuses, so they probably have inventory too.
"I've got it in my inventory." He looks shocked after I speak.
"Oh, I should have guessed that you were an adventurer," He says and puts away the meat he was working with. "Come around back with me and we can sort everything out." I don't know what he means by me being an adventurer, but I follow him anyways.
I want to keep the hare meat to use in traps, but I want to sell all of the bear meat. After about an hour of weighing meat, I sell a thousand pounds for a thousand credits! So much satisfaction hearing him say "Transfer 1,000 credits". I now have 2350 credits, and I move on to the next store.
There is a general store not too far away, so I go there first. I will probably be able to sell everything there, and I hope I didn't get a bad deal on the meat.

Coming out of the general store, I feel like a fool. The woman working there, 10/10 hot babe by the way, told me I could only sell at places that specialized in the product, as per regulation from the merchant's guild.
Next, I visit a tailor. The man inside is nice, and he buys the leather and the hides from the hares, the wolves, and the bears. He gave me 10 credits for each hare hide, 40 credits for each wolf hide, and 100 credits for each bear hide. I feel like a totally boss walking out of a tailor shop with 1210 additional credits! Woo! With all this, I've got 3540 credits. Total G.
I need to build a house, so the next few places I visit are for building my house. I have a general idea of how to build a house because of my construction skill, and I know what materials I need. Each piece of the wood for constructing the long side of the house if 50 credits. Each piece of the short side is 30 credits. I need about 18 long pieces and 18 short pieces, so I'm looking at 1440 credits for the wood alone.
It's not even going to be a particularly nice looking house.
I can get all the nails I need for 10 credits, and I can get a hammer for 20 credits. I can get a saw for 20 credits. I feel kinda ripped off for buying the axe from the shop-day, but I can't turn back time. A door is going to run me 100 credits, and I decide to skip getting windows. A roof for the snow will cost quite a bit, so I'm looking at another 400 credits for just that. I need to get some gray gobbly-goop, and that cost yet another 200 credits.

All in all, everything is 2190 credits. After buying all that, I only have 1350 credits left, and I feel kinda poor without my money. I can't do anything about not having tons of money saved up, so I head to some more shops to spend more money.
First, I need a bed. I get the best bed, because I need something soft to lay my glorious butthole on. 200 credits hurts, but I pay it. I thought about buying a lamp, but then I remember my night vision! I leave with just a bed, and I've got 1150 credits. With these remaining credits and everything in my inventory, I go back to the tavern.

The Ascendant: Endless Reincarnation
My name is Richard Brooks. I died while saving a kid. Kicking the bucket at 28 was really depressing, you know? There’s so much I still wanted to do. But instead of passing on, I was thrust into an endless series of reincarnations. Whenever I die, I earn Karma points based on my achievements and growth. These points can be exchanged for weapons, spells, or other bonuses to make my next lives more interesting. “What kills me only makes me stronger!” Or something like that. Honestly, it feels like I’m stuck in an RPG. The difficulty setting can be pretty ridiculous too. Sometimes all I can do is grit my teeth in frustration as I die an ignoble death. But I won’t complain. Even when it’s dangerous and painful, I love life. This is all an opportunity; I’ll do my best, no matter what kind of sadistic fate the System throws at me. I will swing the warhammer of justice! Craft and enhance the most amazing artifacts! Overwhelm opponents with a barrage of auto-casting spells! Lead powerful vassals in Domain wars! All for the sake of creating an eternal sanctuary. With my unique power of Runecrafting, maybe I’ll even become strong enough one day to overturn fate… or at least find out what the hell is really going on. It might take a few hundred or a thousand lifetimes, but what’s the rush? I have all the time in the world now. (Note: R15+ This is the work of a very inexperienced author with a full time job. Please expect an erratic release schedule.)

Journey of my Core
I have a hard time referring anything that I write to as 'Original'. The longer we as a species exist the harder it is to be truly original, I am certainly influenced by all that I read and watch Including but not limited to J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit, and all of the stories here on Royal Road. From the start the MC is only able to comprehend the most basic of what is impacting it with very little to no understanding of the MC's surroundings. There may be updates in the future, but I am in no way a consistant writer. I will never claim to be the best artist, but I drew a representation for my story. Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination... Procrastination...
