Chapter 12
In the morning on the sixteenth day, I check my traps. It is faster to reset a trap than to make a new one, so I can do this much quicker than placing all the traps yesterday. From all my traps, I have to rebuild a few, but I get seven hares, a wolf, and a bear! After putting them in my inventory, I take a look at them and my stats.

From my experience, I know each mountain hare is worth 10 credits to kill, and five credits to sell. A black bear is worth 100 credits to kill, and 40 credits to sell. A mountain wolf is worth 50 credits to kill and 20 credits to sell. A Black mountain snake is worth 100 credits to kill and 40 credits to sell, and a Black Mountain Snake Mother is worth 200 credits to kill and 80 credits to sell.
They day is still fairly young, so I have time to explore a little. With x-ray vision, I am able to see anything that might be interesting in the surrounding area, but there is a limit to how much I can see through. I can't see any further than I normally can, so I am limited by things getting really small the further I look out.
I remember that a small stream was located to the south, so I think I will build my house there. A stream might be useful for several things, including smithing if I decide to do that. Either way, I kinda want to take a hot shower, though I don't know if I would feel it.

With my bow out and an arrow ready, I proceed south. I reach the stream quickly with my added dexterity and strength. All I can see from the surface is a depression in the snow, but my x-ray vision can see the water flowing underneath and my minimap shows the stream too. I look downstream with x-ray vision, and I think I see something moving.
With my bow out, I approach the moving group of creatures. From what I can see at the large distance I am away, there are between four and eight of them walking in a close formation. I quickly move between on and off with my x-ray vision, and I quickly move through the snow without making a sound.
I don't make any sound, but the snow is noisy as hell. As I move within sixty feet of the group, they notice me.
"Who is there?!" One of the group shouts, and they fan out to point their weapons in my direction. Now, I can see there are only five of them.
This is the first person I have heard since I was teleported into this world. I don't want to come off as a weirdo, but I also don't want to come off as a weakling.
"I'm here!" I say, and I raise my body to be as tall as possible and raise my bow in the air. "Homogeneous Khalidius!" Totally a bad-ass name.
"He's got a bow!" One of them says, and two of them pull a bow off their back and sheath their swords.
"Hey, I don't want to fight!" I yell to them. "I'm a traveler. Can you tell me where the nearest town is from here?" I am not too far from my tree, and I plan on going back to build my house, eventually.

"Are you here for the holy blade of Saint Nordas?" One of the people ask, and they lower their sword. The four others keep their weapons raised. I don't know anything about any holy blade, but Nordas sounds like Nord, which is a race is Skyrim. Therefore, I would like to see this holy blade, but I want to find a nearby town more.
