Chapter 9
When the black mountain snakes come, I am ready for them. Pow! Pow! I shoot arrow after arrow into the beasts, hoping to widdle down their strength. With my wooden bow, I realize that I am not getting the most out of my arrows and strength. If I had a better bow, one that I could pull back more on, I would be able to get more damage out of each arrow. That means I have to get a new bow when the shop opens up.
Fifty arrows down, and I think one snake is dead. Its eyes are not glowing as brightly as the rest, and it stopped moving. With their one brother down, however, the snakes move into attack positions. There are three other snakes circling under me, and now they are coming right for the wall.
The first snake smashes into the wall, damaging it but hurting the snake severely. A few arrows into the head of the snake and I am able to kill it. A second snake, however, breaks the wall and is inside my protective area. I don't have any but extra stones and sticks I didn't want to clutter my inventory with, so I won't worry too much about it.
At least, I wasn't going to worry about it until the two remaining snakes started to hit the base of the tree I was in. For some reason, the snakes seem to not be able to climb things like I thought other snakes could. It could be because they are so large, or maybe they are just retards. Something like that, but I need to do something about the tree. I keep shooting arrows at the two snakes, but the tree is starting to go down.
There is a tree to my right, and I put the hammock back into my inventory along with the bow and arrow and I jump over. Something from my increased Strength made the jump easy, and I was easily able to pull myself up. I get my bow and an arrow out, and I resume my attack. A few arrows later, another snake dies.

>Welcome To Tardeyad!
It looks like the shop is open again! Wooo! Time to sell some stuff! Each mountain hare is worth 5, so I get 60 credits from them, which I guess isn't too much. The Black Mountain Snake and the Black Bear are both worth a whopping 40 credits! That puts me at 140 credits for things sold. With those credits, in addition to the 320 I already had, that puts me at 460. However, I killed three more Black Mountain Snakes, and it looks like I got 100 credits from each of them! 760 credits and only one snake remains under me, smashing the tree to try and knock it down.
>**Bows**
>Wooden Bow
>Iron Bow
>Steel Bow
>Orchelium Bow
>Demon Bow
Everything looks nice, and I check out the prices. Iron bow is 500 credits, Steel bow is 700 credits, Orchelium bow is 900 credits, and Demon bow is 2,000 credits. Looks like I won't be getting the demon bow any time soon, and I pick the Steel bow. I'm left with only 60 credits, but I have a Steel bow which can do a lot more damage than a simple wooden bow. Actually, I can sell the wooden bow, which I do, and now I have 160 credits.
With the new Steel Bow, I ready and arrow. First arrow of the bow, and I release it with a huge amount of strength aimed at the snake's head.
Bingo, the snake is dead. Boom, 100 more credits. Tie a rope to the tree branch so I can get back up, and then I jump down and take the snake bodies into my inventory. Each snake body is worth 40 credits, and I've got four down here. However, 320 credits are all I need for some dope flame tools. For now, I'll get two torches for 10 credits each and a skill book for tanning. Tanning was just 200 credits, so that leaves me with 100 credits left. With those, I buy a tanner's rack from tools. With this, I can explore the cave and start tanning the skins of animals that I kill. Maybe, I will get more money from tanned hides of killed animals.

Character Origins; Shaynen
“Shaynen, what do we do?” Ila yelled. Shaynen looked over at them, at a loss for words. Wandering Dungeon
Garrett finds himself reborn as a small crystal, a dungeon core. Why does he exist? How did he get here? His dungeon guide will have to work extra hard to make him a great dungeon, but how is Garrett suppose to become a great dungeon if he can't even create monsters? This story might sound like a standard dungeon core story and might be a little slow or awkwardly paced sometimes, (This is my first story that I'm seriously writing) but I promise it is a dungeon story unlike any others. Any and all comments and reviews are welcome. They will help me learn and become a better writer so I can provide a better and more well written story for you and others to enjoy.
