《Conquer the World》Chapter 55: Calm Before The Storm (1)

At the place that already assigned, Han Lang came with a certain bag. It was filled with countless information in the form of paper. He had brought them from his own clan and since then always carried it with him.
When he arrived, Ye Canghai and Li Dian already took a seat around the table. The square-form table was placed in front of them while they talking to each other.
“What do you think that person will talk about?” Li Dian asked. Since he met Han Lang, the impression Han Lang gave to him was rather good. The person himself carried the feelings of intelligence that spread from his brows.
“I think that since he came from the Han clan, he will ask about the recipe for that or he will ask us for something that happened in his room.” Answered Ye Canghai.
“Probably the latter. Besides, your family doesn’t have a relationship with her right?” Li Dian wanted to confirm once again whether Ye family had a relationship with someone or even the Yi family.
“Yi family, as far as I know, they instead related to my wife’s family.” That was why Ye Canghai could connect the dots. The presence of that girl around the city made him realized the importance of the past.
“What!?” both Li Dian and Han Lang exclaimed at the same time.
“Ah, so the person who called us is here.” Ye Canghai without minding the other person spoke with leisure. But of course, they also knew why Han Lang had difficulties coming to that place.
After placing the bag, which was not a spatial bag like usual, to the top of the table, he placed the stack of papers directly. Not only that but he also placed several scrolls as well. There was more paper product on the table than the bag itself!
“So is that true?” Han Lang asked curiously.
‘Is Miss Yi really came here with the intention to meet someone? I can’t understand the reason though but one thing for sure, this city really contain something unimaginable.’ Thought Han Lang.
“More or less.” Ye Canghai looked at him. Then he continued, “There is an acceptable rumor about this. So in the past, there is a sworn brother that traveled the world. Their names are remembered as Twin Tiger.”
“Isn’t that the myth? Why suddenly mentioned it?” Han Lang was confused at the beginning but soon he understood. In the center of the continent, Yi family was famous throughout the people. But no one knew why or where they come from.
This made some speculated that the origin of Yi was from the secular place in the continent. But then the history revealed them along with another superpower that kept themselves hidden from outside.
“It’s because they are directly related to the Yu family. Both of their ancestors was a sworn brother after all.” Added Ye Canghai.
“And here I thought about something else. Turned out that my thought was useless.” Commented Li Dian. Then he tapped the ground with his toe, impatient to continue.
“Is that so?” Han Lang remembered something so he quickly changed the topic. Han Lang had something important to do but due to the large amount of work he had to accomplish, the important matter for him had almost been forgotten.
“I’m here this time actually to ask the permission to retrieve my clan’s heirloom.” Said Han Lang when he began his words. His intention from the start was this but unable to do it.

“I understand but how is the situation in your clan? If this fall into the wrong person then no matter how great this item, the result cannot be reversed.” Ye Canghai reminded Han Lang.
“The situation?” Han Lan became flustered due to the sudden question Ye Canghai had given to him. But soon he also understood some of it. Prior to meeting Ye Canghai, Han Lang searched in his memory and even some records to know more about Ye family.
‘But if it is really them who keep the heirloom then there is a high chance for it to be true.’ Thought Han Lang.
“How should I say it? It’s really messed up and I’m lucky enough to not getting myself involved though.” Han Lang smiled bitterly. The current situation was in utter darkness, no one could escape from it.
“Is that connected to the activity in the center of the continent?” asked Li Dian. Ever since that day, it was like everything connected to the large activity before the Stone door Inscription opening.
“Sadly, that’s the truth. I even found out that some sects even prepared for it from several disciples that currently rest in my treatment room.” Han Lang also got that info from the passerby and merchants.
“Very well. Since you really did your duty and furthermore giving us something valuable, I will give you the item right away.” Said Ye Canghai while waving his arm. Suddenly, a large throne appeared from behind.
“That’s the real deal!” Han Lang exclaimed. There was a golden throne at the back of the seat that Ye Canghai currently sat. The golden throne was a symbolic figure for the glory of the Han. It was believed that the throne contained a mysterious power behind it.
“So its name is truly Doom Throne.” Ye Canghai only looked at the throne once before he turned his attention to Han Lang once again.
“Thank you!” from that day, Han Lang knew that the true value of his current relationship with the city increased.

But to another place far away from there, Wei Liang walked alone. Since the day he had left, Wei Liang had passed through numerous mountain range and dozens of forests. Currently, he walked and not flying like usual.
“There is the total of forty group of cultivators that flying towards the same direction. I saw their clothes and they came from many sect and large influential organizations. I wonder if those superpowers already make move?”
Wei Liang became lost in thought while imagining the worst possibilities. After that, he let out a colorless pill which was concocted before by Wu Qing. He let out a long sigh and felt a slight pain in the deepest part of his heart.
‘Why?’ that was his thought every time he saw that pill. No matter what he had done in the past, it was all in the past and it should have ended but unfortunately, that was only his wishful thinking.
When he still in his own mind, a sudden movement and a large figure moved past him!
‘What’s that?’ Wei Liang then seriously looked at the figure that suddenly moved past him. It was actually a large carriage with good looking decorative around it. It was pulled by two large and sturdy stallion.
But from the corner of a carriage, there was blood dripped and in turn left a straight trail which could make the other person trace it.

“But strange, there was no one chasing it.” Wei Liang carefully analyzed the situation first. There was no one that really went after the carriage. He searched around but found nothing. Not only that but he did not even find any tracking mark on the carriage!
‘Then, let’s check it. Better to prepare something to protect myself, who knows that it will become useful in times of need.” Wei Liang then chased after it without walking anymore. He flew and increased his flying speed.
To his surprise, he barely moved closer to the carriage. This made him wonder just what was happening in front of him. But suddenly, the carriage made a sudden stop before the side door opened.
A flowing blood made a little waterfall, slowly flowed down like a river. From the door, there was a hand that gripped the corner of the door tightly. Then Wei Liang could see that the figure covered in a completely jet-black cloak.
Wei Liang then sensed the person, only to found that the person in the cloak was in a weakened state.
But what made him surprised was that when the cloak finally disappeared. The disappearance of the cloak finally revealed the figure from head to toe. Wei Liang’s eyes popped out that moment but he restrained himself.
‘His cultivation base is at Nascent Soul stage but this is just judgment. Just from his killing intent recently, as well as those blood, that person likely reached more than that.’ Thought Wei Liang.
But then the person suddenly collapsed while his eyes now solely focused on Wei Liang. But there were some things that made Wei Liang felt a dislike to the person but he forced himself to help him.
“His ear is not that of human but rather, animal-like. Is the person in front of me the remnant of that war?” Wei Liang then stepped inside the carriage first. What awaited him was a room full of mutilated bodies and even their blood was still flowing.
As for the person that stood still with his animal ear, he fainted while standing. That was why Wei Liang could ignore such person. But at the same time, the inside of the carriage really made him stunned for a moment.
“Isn’t this the elder from Cleansing Ancient Sect?” when he looked carefully at the certain body with white clothes that had golden lines on it, he was sure that the person was an elder from a sect. As for what sect he came from, there was a large group of disciple that followed the elder’s fate to die together in that small room inside the carriage.
“In the end, I have to figure it out myself.” Wei Liang had to admit that he really lacked the intelligence to tell him what had happened.
“Well, where should I bring him?” Wei Liang then grabbed the man that still in the same pose as before and left the carriage alone. He feared the certain part of the carriage had something that could track him.
-
“..” the current situation was good for Wu Qing at least. In the room that painted with a yellow-colored wall with the hexagonal pattern all over the place, she suddenly thought of someone.
After the separation, she constantly looked at the direction where Wei Liang went.
‘How long will you hold that hope for?’ only she knew what Wei Liang chased. When she thought about it, she remembered the look on his face when he came to her.
But her thought was interrupted by a sudden shake that came from another room. The shock was still happening but the frequency reduced over time. When it was done, she looked to the place that caused it.
There was a room that became full of crack, the door opened due to the damage it had taken and a smoke flowed out from the opened door.
Then a lot of coughing sound could be heard before someone appeared from the thick grey smoke. With a messed hair, face full of black mark that was left by the smoke as well as tattered clothes made the appearance of that person rather pitiful.
“Failed! How can this be?” the person did not believe what he had just seen in front of his eyes. The person was Ye Xiaobai who first came out from the room.
He held a small hammer which was used to refine and temper the weapon. His eyes still stared at the room that filled with thick smoke. Then a light shone from the thick smoke and all the view that previously obstructed by the smoke was clear!
“How can this be, you say? It’s obvious!” said Manstein angrily. Then Manstein looked around before sighed hard.
‘This is probably too early for him. So I will pending it until further discovery!’ Manstein thought. What he had wanted to do with Ye Xiaobai was to create a new item based on crafting methods.
But the result was like what had happened, failure!
“What are you doing?” asked Wu Qing softly. The time was almost at the midnight and fortunately for them, no one came to their place.
“Oh, Elder Sister Wu. Sorry!” Ye Xiaobai instantly leaped and said apologetically to her. The mess was created by him to begin with and its responsibility would fall to him too.
“No, it’s not entirely your fault though.” Manstein had to admit that the newfound method to craft an item was really a disappointment and even it had a high risk to the person who used it. He stood and walked to their direction while holding a rusted stick in his hands.
“This is what happened. After we discuss it for a quarter of the night that we did this.” Manstein started to narrate his story.
“..the process was at first smooth, very smooth that it felt like a delicate skin of a woman. It was in the earliest process of crafting that the anomaly started to form..”
“..at first it was like a bend on the surface but later on, the entire furnace went frenzy causing the instability which led to the explosion.”
Manstein could not say more than that because that was all the fact he could gather at the shortest time possible.
“Oh, I remember now. Why did only Sister Wu that still wakes until now?” asked Ye Xiaobai. But then Manstein remembered something important.
“Hmm. You’re right. The entire hive is so quiet that it feels like the inhabitants were asleep.” When they noticed the condition, that was really the case.
