《The Sacred Beast Sect》Wan Kun's Results

Wan Kun walked up to the orb ‘here goes nothing’ he extended his hand and touch the surface of the orb. It started humming almost immediately and began buzzing uncontrollably. Lord Hei had no visible reaction almost expecting this ‘come to think of it he had no reaction what so ever, could have known?’ This wouldn’t have been a shock, examiners would sometimes check before hand using a scrying ability, powerful experts do posses this ability after all.
‘VRROOOOOOOMMM!’
The orb began to glow, storm clouds gathered above in the sky. A shining gold colour engulfed not just the crowd but also the city and the surrounding area for a total of 20000km radius. The Golden light slowly dissipated showing the orb with a yellowish colour.
“What all that show for a yellow grade?” “What a disappointment” “He probably made that hole show”.
The crowd was disappointed and so were the officials, the orb clearly shows yellow so why is this young man even bothering.
“Pass” Lord Hei said nonchalantly. Smiling Wan Kun went off the stage and joined where the other passed participants were. While it was true Lord Hei did pass some people who had lower talent but high cultivation, this was just ridiculous Yellow Grade was second from the bottom, it was only considered good in small nations and sects.
“AH? Lord Hei this” Shi Wan the King of Sacred Beast Kingdom looked at Lord Hei in shock. “This what?” Lord Hei spoke in annoyance. “Lord Hei this boy is only yellow coloured how could you pas-“ “I pass who I want, what right do you have to criticise my decision?” Lord Hei had enough, Shi Wan may be a Minor Saint Realm Expert and a king but he was a Grand Elder of the True Sacred Beast Sect, their status and power were literally heaven and earth. “Ah of course, Lord Hei knows best, this junior is mistaken” seeing this the king retreated, the other officials seeing this didn’t dare speak. Who was Lord Hei? They didn’t know but he was from the Sacred Beast Sect and clearly with a high status, who are they to compare.

“Ladies and gentlemen, the participants have been chosen” Lord Hei proclaimed. Lady Feng got up and walked to the front. “The second phase would be conducted by Lady Feng” with that Lord Hei stored the orb and stand and returned to his seat next to Duke Zi.
“Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am Lady Feng and I will be conducting the second phase of the exam. I will now listing out all those who passed, please listen carefully.” She began listing those who passed “Teng Ah, Du Jian, Jia Xiang, Shi Peng, Sun Yu, Liu Huo……..” she continued a few more names.
Wan Kun had made his way back to the crowd. Suddenly a purple clad youth stepped in front of him, it was Zi Cheng. “Is there something you need?” Wan Kun asked with a raised eyebrow. “Yeah, how did a trash like you get in” Zi Cheng angrily growled. “I guess I’m just that good” smirked Wan Kun, oh how he loved taunting these scions of rich nobles. “Why you” Zi Cheng faced heated up from sheer anger. “Wow young master Zi, you are a truly a great actor, you’re mimicking a tomato perfectly” added Wan Kun, Zi Cheng was making this too easy.
“You little shit, you're courting death” Zi Cheng moved to stoke him when suddenly a hand caught his wrist. “Is this how a son of a Duke should act?” A voce spoke, Zi Cheng turned to see who it was “who dar…Ah so its his majesty prince Shi Xuegang” Zi Cheng immediately retracted his fist. This man, who didn’t know him, son of Shi Wan the Sacred Beast King who reached Spirit Severing Late Stage ate age 22, there are even talks of him breaking through to Heavenly Sage soon. “Since it’s Lord Prince I’ll give you some face” with that Zi Cheng walked away.

“Thank you for the help” Wan Kun smiled, this prince seemed like a nice person. “Don’t mention it, if the examiners let you pass you must be an extraordinary talent” the prince smiled “I’m sure you’ll have great prospects in the future” his piece said Shi Xuegang left.
Up on stage Lady Feng observed this entire confrontation. ‘stereotypical protagonist now meets arrogant young master. Wow that was cliche.’ “Now that everyone is aware on those who passed, let me explain the rules for the second phase. But first can all who passed come back in stage”
Wan Kun and the others walked back on, some glared at him in contempt others in interest. Seeing this Lady Feng smiled helplessly, ‘protagonists will always be protagonists’. “The second phase will now commence. Listen carefully, the rules are simple, each of you will fight me one on one and I will decide wether you are worthy or not” that statement alone stunned everyone. They might not know who this lady was but she's definitely an expert in the Transcendence Realm above the Xiantian/Surpassing Mortality Ream. If it was a single sub realm/stage like from Spirit Severing to Heavenly Sage it might be possible, but this was at least an entire large realm at least 4-5 realms higher. Each large realm consists of 4 smaller sub realms each with three levels of early, mid, and late, a gap like this was ridiculous.
“Do not worry everyone, I’ll purposely suppress my cultivation to a suitable level” Lady Feng said with a smirk ‘this should be fun. Seeing this Lord Hei couldn’t help but sign, his fellow martial apprentice sister was just too troublesome, ‘if only master or junior apprentice brother Ezzel were here, they’ll know what to do’ at that though he frowned ‘Master, we will avenge you’

Murphy's Law
****Story has been dropped for being too dark**** "Anything that can go wrong, will." But what if you know what goes wrong in advance? On Earth, monsters come in human form. Some are ostracized or locked up, but others walk amongst us. They’re more common than one would think and they grow in number the higher in the hierarchy you go. With 1 in 100 people preying on the other 99, eventually, a world trying to summon a hero might end up with a monster that doesn't feel like playing along. _____________________________ The story is my take on some of my favorite genre's and tropes, some of which I have no I idea if they'll work well together. English is not my main language so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please tell me so I can correct them. Criticism and critique are more than welcome:) A chapter every Tuesday.*I do not own the cover image, it's taken from google.

Trials of a Magic Core
He was brave, and noble, and true. He was also a hunk of crystal floating in a magical circle, brought into existence by the self-styled "Greatest Magus of All Time" to be his personal intelligent magical encyclopedia, filled with every minutiae of the arcane this Magus could stuff into it, all ready and accessible at a moment's notice. But is simply knowing all there is to life? Can he strive for more? Should he? (Writer's Note:) I'm a pretty new writer, so expect delays, errors, inconsistent logic, plot holes the size of a small 4-wheeled vehicle, and a distinct lack of snark. At least from the MC. Also, yes, the cover is an image I made in paint. I have...NO artistic skills. It is a placeholder. Also, I came up with this idea in the shower after a nine-hour RRL binge. SO BEAR WITH ME.

I Call It Love (Yandere Boys X Reader)
(Part 1 of 3)【EDITING TO MAKE SENSE】**important** I know this story is a favorite of mine, and I want to keep it true to what past me wanted it to be... But as I re-read this I keep thinking I could've made it better, or it could've been done differently. So I've decided to try and edit/fix it up to make it seem... Better? I hope no one gets mad, and I'll do my absolute best to keep it similar to what it used to be, just know if you are revisiting this story there may be some differences, and past comments could be confusing. Thank for understanding, and I promise that I will try to keep it as similar as possible. **important**Potential Fixes: •Adding time skips such as weeks in between or specific time passsings to make the story seem a little more realistic, and not rushed•Adding more things to flashbacks, maybe adding a new flashbacks but only 1 or 2...•GRAMMAR AND TYPOS •SOME dialouge, if it doesn't sit right with me•Anything that doesn't fit or doesn't match the storycover by: rivila_cher"AH!"
