《Sanctity of Blood》Chapter 15 : The Empyrean Armor

Drake remained near the blood lake trying to think of the best way to use the blood inside. During the evolution, he had found out that the blood in the lake could also upgrade his soul just like purified crystals did.
Now, all that remained was to see what level of purified crystals he could make now that his soul had been further improved.
As for what level of Energy Condensation he was at, he decided not to think about it anymore.
But he knew that he had finally long reached the limit of his body. His elder vampire bloodline had reached its limit or it would've continued absorbing the blood in the blood lake.
As for his Lycan bloodline, after feasting on the growing Elder Vampire bloodline, it was still asking for more, showing that it will never have enough to feast on.
He needed more powerful blood than what he currently had available to him to upgrade his Elder Vampire bloodline even further... but he reckoned that at one point-in time as the Lycan bloodline ate away the Elder Vampire bloodline, a kind of fusion will occur turning both bloodlines into one.
If there was no fusion, the only other solution would be that the Lycan bloodline would become too strong, overshadowing the Elder Vampire bloodline completely.
He pointed his palm towards the blood lake and then initiated the blood magic.
The red blood in the lake slowly turned into countless blue crystals.
As the blood in the blood lake finished, a body clad in a white immaculate armor appeared, resting at the bottom floor.
"Seems like all that pressure from earlier came from this body... and all that blood too... but I do not see any wounds."
Drake beckoned as he controlled the blood inside the armored body to levitate.
The armored body levitated until Drake was face to face with it.
"So much vitality... then why do I not smell a soul inside this armored body?"
"Could it be that his soul was destroyed and then left his body intact?... No, I think there is something else keeping his body immortal."
This meant that he could have as much powerful blood as he could ever need.
He could also absorb its never ending vitality with his wood element ability.
Then came a very obvious problem. He couldn't bring this immortal corpse back to the village as its pressure would kill every living thing in the village.

"I guess I have to leave it here for now....Yes, I'll leave a Blood Soul Clone here to guard it. There's no way I can turn a blind eye to an unlimited supply of blood this powerful." He mused to himself.
He reckoned that with the Blue Blood crystals that he had made from the corpse's blood, while they were now useless to him, he could turn every villager back home into Gods. It was apparent that with how potent the Blue Blood Crystals were, they could turn a normal human being into a god or something very close to it. With a physical strength of a god, who would dare to bully them?
He summoned a Blood Soul Clone with his blood magic and then started heading towards his father after letting the corpse fall to the bottom of the now empty lake.
He found his father peacefully sleeping.
"FATHER." He said out loud.
John woke up in stupor, his new powerful body making him stand up immediately. He said, "What...What happened?"
"You were sleeping." Drake was now sure it was his future self's doing.
"I'm sorry. I have no idea how I fell asleep." John said with a smile. He continued, "What happened in there? Did you find anything good?"
Drake then gestured John to follow him back inside.
When they arrived at the empty lake, John saw a huge pile of blue crystals. He immediately ran towards them and then started eating them.
Drake just shook his head. It seemed he underestimated the appeal of strength in the eyes of his father. His father would do anything to become stronger than he was previously.
Thinking thus, an idea came into his mind: Why not upgrade his father's Lycan bloodline.
His new and improved Lycan bloodline should have reached heights he couldn't fathom yet. He still had to transform to feel how powerful he had become.
Drake looked around him and remarked, "This cave is big enough. Even if my new transformation was to reach a hundred meters in height, I should be okay."
Of course, he planned to transform at the bottom of the empty lake near the corpse to give himself even more space.
He jumped into the empty lake and then began his transformation after ridding himself of his new clothes.

Red fur appeared on his body but the expected growth never happened.
"Huh? I can't turn into a complete wolf?" Drake thought. He was looking at his new claws in puzzlement. His head was that of a wolf, his feet's toenails had slightly grown bigger and his hand's nails were in the form of claws. That was about it. Oh, and his height was still that of a five year old.
"What's going on? Is this it?" He thought, confused. He tried to push his transformation a bit further but all he got was longer canines and claws.
The hundred meters long wolf body that he had imagined never appeared.
He could feel the strength that came with the transformation though. Almost ten times that of his base human form.
He reckoned that maybe it was because his body wasn't mature enough to sustain a full transformation. Or maybe the problem lied somewhere else unknown to him. He will have to see how things will evolve in the future.
…But if having a mature body was the prerequisite to having a full transformation, didn't he have a guinea pig right here with him to experiment on. He would give his father the strongest dosage of his new Lycan Venom and see how things will turn out.
"Interesting…What are you boy?" A voice reverberated in his mind.
"Who are you?" Shocked and scared, Drake tried to remain calm.
"It's okay. You don't have to be scared of me. I am the artifact spirit of the Empyrean Armor you see here."
"An artifact spirit? They have those in this world too? Did you form naturally or were you created?" Drake asked.
"What's the difference to you?" The playful voice asked.
"Spirits that form naturally aren't inherently evil, those that are created from other existing spirits or souls can be evil." Drake said.
"Well, I think am a mixture of both. Feel like you can trust me now?" The artifact spirit said.
"What do you want?" Drake remained vigilant.
"I'm just curious to see a human with bloodline of a beast. Such a thing is impossible in this multiverse. The laws won't allow it. How did you accomplish such a feat?" The artifact spirit asked.
"I don't have to tell you anything, now get out of my head." Drake said as he retracted his partial transformation and started wearing his clothes.
"C'mon, I'm really curious. If you tell me, I'll let you have access to the blood of this corpse. I see that you really need it. I can even let you become my master. This armor is indestructible and can protect you from anything." The artifact spirit pleaded.
Drake shook his head and started walking away saying, "Sorry, I'm still too small for the armor."
"Wait…wait…this armor can take any form. Even if you were a one thousand meter long giant, you could still wear it." The Artifact spirit sounded even more pitiful as it tried to uncover Drake's secrets.
Drake couldn't understand how the artifact spirit was so curious about him….But his secrets were his to keep.
"Don't worry. If you don't want to tell me, I have my ways. Hehe."
A blinding light appeared behind Drake and he turned around to see what was going on.
He saw that the white armor was now standing next to the corpse. The Empyrean Armor then hovered above the corpse and then started deconstructing itself. Before long, it had turned into a collar with a round crystal that looked like a starry sky in the middle.
The starry sky crystal flashed once and then disappeared from where it was to appear around Drake's neck where it fitted him perfectly.
A series of lines then appeared in Drake's vision.

"I knew it…you have additional bloodlines in your body….let's do an in depth check…I want to know how they fused with you human bloodline." The voice of the artifact spirit sounded in his head again.
Drake gripped the collar with his two hands and started pulling and tried to twist it of his neck, "Get off of me."

I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D
