《Sanctity of Blood》Chapter 10 : King Simba (2)

The hunger was becoming harder to ignore as he arrived before the last survivors of Beast City.
"So you're the ones who destroyed my city in a single night?" Asked the ten meters tall King Simba.
"Not one night. I destroyed your city in less than an hour. Now, offer up your life so I can wrap this up before the hour is over." Drake said haughtily.
Now that the two red wolves were before him, he could feel their cultivations. The taller red wolf with green eyes had no cultivation whatsoever despite being bigger than the other who had claimed to have been the culprit who killed his subjects. As for the smaller red wolf with one red eye on the left and a green eye on the right, he could only tell that it was still in the Energy Condensation realm a little bit closer from Foundation Establishment.
The facts were there, but he couldn't believe that they were the ones responsible for all this carnage.
Could it be that they had some kind of uncanny ability that allowed them to accomplish such a feat?
But to be able to affect an entire city, how strong could their souls be.
No matter which case it was, it will all be over once they were both incinerated under his fire.
Without wasting any more words Simba then spit a torrential fire that then went to engulf the two big red wolves.
"Should we be scared? Level 6 crystals have no more effect on us. You said it yourself that once we've reached the threshold by eating enough crystals, we would need higher levelled purified blood crystals to heal and strengthen ourselves." John asked fully believing that they would be okay either way.
"There's no need to fear it. Our bodies are now probably as strong as his. This fire will only tickle us at the very least. Besides, don't expect any damage because while we gained strength from eating all those crystals, but since we didn't need to heal, the power of healing stays dormant inside of us until we need it. So you have nothing to fear even if you get crushed into meat paste someday." Drake said.

The fire then engulfed them.
Through their divine senses, the beasts were looking forward to seeing the two wolves turn into ashes as they looked through the fire.
What they saw stupefied them. The two red wolves just stood there in the fire as if nothing could faze them. There wasn't even the slightest damage done to them. I was incomprehensible to say the least.
It was then that their divine senses showed them something even more incomprehensible. They saw the smaller red wolf turn into a human child.
"Zazu, are you seeing this?" Simba asked. He was trying to look composed but inwardly he was greatly shaken.
"Yes, your Majesty." Zazu answered.
"Leave for the Dragon Lands now. We will buy you some time. I fear we will not survive but my children and wife can. When you get there, ask for an audience with the Sages. Ask them to look through your memories. They will see what we've just seen and they will also learn of the Undying God Corpse lying at the bottom of a lake made of its own blood under my palace. Go! Now!"
That Undying God Corpse was a closely guarded secret of Simba's family for thousands of years...His ancestors found it by accident before any human could stumble upon it...and since it was a human's god corpse, the humans must never know that they had it. For thousands of years, they've been trying to get its God Spark, that Spark of light that made the Gods what they were, but they've never succeeded...Anything and anyone that approached the blood lake where it was resting would inexplicably explode.
Drake, under the cover of the smoke, was putting on his clothes. He thought he was going to appear in his five year old body like magic and stupefy these beast who didn't know any better. Of course, Drake didn't know what Divine Sense was and only thought that the beasts could only see him when the smoke cleared. Besides, he needed to assume that form for what was going to happen. He had to turn into his base form and then switch to his Elder Vampire Bloodline to feed on whatever that powerful blood he felt was.

Drake tapped on his storage pouch and an ordinary tree branch came out.
"This will kill them all in the fastest way possible. I can't waste any more time as I can't tell how long I can remain sane under that powerful blood's call." Said Drake as he grasped the branch.

Demonizing Matters
A high fantasy drama about a young woman who finds out a demon secret. This secret sparks a growing conflict between demons and humans. While trying to save her own life and dealing with the unexpected consequences of her actions, she falls in love with a hated demon. We follow the drama of Lita, alongside a cast of several other POV characters, as she discovers secrets (both open and purposefully hidden), makes well intentioned but sometimes disastrous decisions, and encounters prejudices and truths. Demons may be evil… or not. Humans may be good… or not. God is aloof… or not. Publishing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is my first real work! Super excited to be publishing! I don’t spend a lot of time describing gore, sex, trauma or any other type of scene that would be labeled as mature. I've labeled the story as mature in every way more because I don't quite understand the standard and don't know if I've crossed the line at all (and I'd rather be safe than get my story rejected for under labeling ;)). Mostly I hint, start the scene then interrupt/fade out, and in general let the reader know it happens but without making it too explicit. (I’d love to hear how I did on this! And if it was still entertaining/informative without being traumatizing.) This is what I prefer to read myself so that’s what I write. I’m not apologizing. ;) If I mislabeled my mature content it was by accident. And, yes, the pacing was also on purpose. Beyond that, I welcome any feedback you want to give! Enjoy the story!
