Beasts from Class 3 to class 9, Energy Condensation to Golden Core, felt their lives end without knowing how.

Killing Nascent Soul realm beasts at the very beginning would've been a handful. The Blood Soul Clones had no effect on their Nascent Souls, so while the Nascent Soul beasts were trying to figure out how they had died, the Blood Soul Clones would be long gone, which is why Drake left them to be killed last.

As of now, Drake and John were gorging themselves with level 3 purified blood crystals that the Blood Soul Clones were continuously bringing back.

Their goal was to strengthen themselves with these low level crystals until they reached their limit. Once there was no more power to be gained, they would start ingesting Level 6 purified blood crystals.

Thanks to Evelyn, Drake had already opened his energy sea and was an immortal in the Energy Condensation realm. Compared to his father, who hadn't opened an energy sea, his ingestion of purified crystals held another meaning : He would advance both in body cultivation and in soul cultivation.

As the energy sea was the bridge between his soul and body, anything containing energy that he ingested, would be divided into two, going to strengthen both areas.

John will only strengthen his body without an energy sea.

After eating his 458th level 3 purified crystal, Drake felt like yet another knot had been untangled deep within himself, he exclaimed, "This should be the Energy Condensation realm level 9. I should start preparing for Foundation Establishment."

"I've reached my limit. I feel like there's no more strength to be gained with level 3 purified blood crystals." John said as he crouched down on the ground.

"How many Level 3 purified blood crystals did you eat?" Drake asked, curious to know how many he had left to ingest.

"I didn't really count them, but it should be a little bit more than a thousand." said John as he closed his eyes feeling how powerful his red wolf body was.

It was now that Drake remembered that his father had already eaten three level six crystals earlier, and one level 6 purified crystal was worth roughly 10,000 level 3 purified crystals. it meant that he had at least 30,000 level 3 purified crystals left to eat before he reached his limit.

"No, that's not right. it's not 30,000, it's 60,000 since all the energy I ingest is being divided into two with one part going to the body and the other to the soul, so for me to ingest the same number as my father did to reach the maximum power for his body, I need to ingest twice as he did." thought Drake.

Drake looked at the three mounds of fingernail sized purified crystals in front of him. From level 1 to level 3. They had accumulated in three small mountains roughly twice as high as their 5 meter tall wolf bodies...and the Blood Soul Clones still had more to bring.

Drake approached the level three purified crystals and controlled 65,000 of them to levitate out of the mound. He then made three gulps as they disappeared in his wolf stomach.

"With this, I should be able to enter Foundation Establishment effortlessly." said Drake as he closed his eyes and felt his power rising.

As eager as he was to reach Foundation Establishment, he didn't reach it. Instead, he went Energy Condensation realm level 9 to Energy Condensation realm level 15...and it kept climbing.

He finally stopped at Energy Condensation realm level 21.

He could only watch with wide eyes as his energy sea expanded without any indication of a change.

Feeling that his son was troubled, John asked, "What's going on, son?"

"I...I can't reach Foundation Establishment. I am now at level 21 of Energy Condensation realm." Said Drake.

"Oh, so it's just that." chuckled John. He continued, "There's a predetermined limit of strength gained set by your body. Once, your body has reached that limit, there's a fusion between your ability and your energy sea to start the foundation for your ability to grow. Generally, that limit is set at level 9, some bodies may allow you to go beyond that, but not too far. Don't worry, you'll reach it soon enough." John consoled him.

"What is that limit based on?" Drake had already guessed the answer, but he still wanted to ask just to be sure.

"Your potential." said John

" As expected...but with my Lycan bloodline feeding on my Vampire bloodline, my body has unlimited potential...will I be stuck at the Energy Condensation realm for the rest of my life?" a dejected Drake thought.

"Hey, they're here. Finally!" John said as he stood up.

The first batch of level 6 purified blood crystals were being brought back.

"It has started." Drake said.
