《Sanctity of Blood》Chapter 05 : Bite me

"What? Are you sure?" John was having a hard time believing his son. "You're telling me that you stealthily left home because you just had new memories in your head telling you that you had abilities and how to use them? ...You expect me to believe that?"
Drake, who was starting to believe his own lies, then seriously said, " Then how do you explain that I could suddenly control blood and then turn into a ref wolf?"
John didn't have anything left to add to that. He was starting to think that maybe it was all true. He was starting to believe that maybe his son was being blessed by the Gods. That could explain everything and it made him happy.
John turned to his son and then said, "I want to know everything those new memories said."
"Yes." Drake obediently nodded as he said, " There was something called Blood Magic. It can allow me to control blood and bloodlines any way I want. I can make purified blood that can heal and strengthen the body. Right, I can make up to level 6 purified blood. If you ingest hundreds of level six purified blood you could be ten times stronger than an immortal like lady Evelyn. If a beast or human has an ability, with enough blood from them, I can extract their bloodline ability for others to consume and possess. Those are the only two I've tried so far. The rest of the blood magics are too complicated and require training before I can use them." He lied about the rest of the blood magics being too complicated because he wanted to keep his father in the dark about his capabilities.
"I said I want to know everything. I do not care if it's too complicated or not." John sternly said. He was having the feeling that his son was trying to hide things from him.

Drake thought, "Damnit, he still asked. Well, I can't lie to him. He has my well being as his priority, so it can't hurt to tell him a bit more. Besides, it my fault for telling him that there were other abilities. I should've just stopped my big mouth when I could.'
As Drake finished carefully choosing what he would say and what he would hide, an eerie silence took place. Under the moon that was feeding light to them and the entire mountains, Drake's face seemed to be in the shade of the tree behind them and John couldn't read his enigmatic face.
Drake finally said, " The last ability is that I can play god with bloodlines. I can implant bloodlines into humans or beasts and I can also extract certain specific properties of a bloodline to implant in another."
" Give me an example so I understand better." Said John.
"Well, for example, if you want wings, I can extract the property in the bloodline of a bird that gives it wings and then implant it into your bloodline and you'll start growing wings...or I can implant the complete bloodline of a beast into a human at a degree that the human wants, from the degree of having a few of the bloodline's properties allowing to morph certain parts of his body to look like a beast to having the complete bloodline of the beast and morph into a beast completely like I can do with the red wolf." Said Drake in one breath.
"Okay. What about the red wolf though? I refuse to believe that all it can do is allow you to take its form and gain its strength only." Said John with a smile.
"You're right." Drake nodded," It can transfer its bloodline by biting and injecting venom into a human."
A glint appeared in John's eyes as he said, " You mean I can turn into a red wolf as well and all you have to do is bite me?"
" Yes." Drake didn't like where this was going.
"Bite me." John said with a laugh.
