I shivered thinking about my body disintegrating by my own creation, the agonizing pain was something I never wanted to experience again, it looks like I won’t have to, now that I have Acid Immunity though. I wondered how it even ended up inside of me. I'm not the smartest in the world but I'd like to think I'm smarter than eating acid. My guess was that the portal somehow displaced it or thought of it as a part of me since it was an artificial life I created using some of my own DNA for some of the ingredients. However, that's just a guess.

Poison Immunity seemed useful as well, seeing as I just kinda dug into the flesh of the ShellCharger without really checking if it was dangerous to eat in any way. I suddenly remembered Quack and him joking about eating raw chicken and getting poisoned by salmonella. I could literally do that now.

I hope Quack and Ash are ok… I'm sure they fared better than me getting melted by my own experiment but still. If they’re in this jungle with beasts like the ShellCharger, I hope they have some awesome power like me to deal with them. Knowing Ash, he would probably calm them with his singing while Quack would annoy them until they lost the will to fight. Chuckling to myself I read the final skill Ignore Mortal Material. It seemed way too strong! I mean I died to get it so I guess I kinda deserved it but still that’s INSANE! It explains how my claw attack did so much to the ShellCharger even though it says in its description it wouldn’t do much to armoured targets. Remembering I was going to check out Slime Symbiote and Mother Of Artificial I willed them open as well

It sounded great however even after my LVL up my health is only 80 and mana 135 so I wasn’t even close to being able to use it so I put it on the backburner for now. I'm looking forward to using it and being able to hug my own creation. Guess ‘mother’ is pretty fitting after all, even though I really don’t think I should be responsible for something like an actual child yet.

I noticed that most of the skills have what seems to be a rarity next to them, with the Ignore Mortal Material being ancient, acid and poison immunity being very rare, and my class skills being unique. I wonder how it affects them but my guess was that it represents how good or common the skill was, which I wasn’t sure. I’d put on my mental checklist to ask someone who knew.

Oh I wonder, do I want to get more stats, night vision, poison claws OR LITERALLY REVIVE! I imagine not many people revive this early on so there is probably a reason for the unbalance but still. This is a bit much of a gap, without more thought I picked up the Mortality Overcome perk. The moment I chose it and mentally clicked a button that said done, I felt my body change, my fear that something would come and kill me instantly silenced and I became more relaxed about my very dangerous situation. A symbol appeared on my left hand with an angel holding her hands in prayer. Having finished that I looked at my trees next

I guessed the first five was there already while the 2 others were the ones I got from my level up, it let me choose one and fill it out with my tree points, after remembering the notification, I guessed that I got more points the higher level my skills were, and starting with 3 skills with 100 levels was probably not how it was meant to be. In the end, I took the 2 that stuck out and clicked done.

SLIMES ENDLESS ENDURANCE

My body's tissue strengthened, I became tougher, I guessed that punching through me would be like punching through cured leather, and my blood pumped faster and cleaner than before, I felt its warmth rush in my body bringing what’s necessary to each individual part.

LIFE CREATORS WISDOM

Creating life doesn’t only take the know-how, it takes the ability to manage and take care of your new lifeform teaching it how to act in the world you have brought it into. 20% increased learning ability of created life forms and you gain an extra 10 points in wisdom and 5 in intelligence

I didn’t currently have anything I could teach so, for now, it wasn’t that useful but if I continued in this direction I'd be able to have a little slime son in no time.

I had 172 points left after choosing these so I decided to put it into Initiate Nexus I, almost finishing it immediately. No harm in getting more magic right? The next thing I did was check out my own character sheet

I didn’t really know what the different stats meant, but my health had gone way up from 30. Looking at my racial abilities they looked like more things that would become useful once I could summon my slime son. I put up another mental note to find out a definition for all the stats and what it meant, smiling at my growing list of skills. I fell asleep in my hut for the night.
