Liang No stared in bewilderment at the figure in front of him, but he couldn't stop hiccuping. This immediately made him so scared of what the seemingly powerful figure in front of him would do for such disrespect, but to his surprise, nothing came out of it. The golden-robed man just waited without saying a word until he stopped.
"Ah...uhhh....I apologize for my rudeness." said Liang No as he cupped his hands in respect, but the figure in front of him didn't say anything. This made him think that the senior in front of him didn't acknowledge him and was prepared to kneel in forgiveness, but he stopped as the figure disappeared from it's spot and appeared in front of him.
"Uhhhh....
Liang No was scared and took a step back, resulting in laughter from the golden-robed man."Hahaha, don't worry, don't worry, I won't harm you in any way. "
"But... but of course, senior. " said Liang No with a strained smile, but inside he was panicking as he was scared sober ' Fuck, shit, what the hell is going on?! Who is this man, and what does he want with me?! That speed, that speed that none of my senses could even register.... means that this figure is whole cultivation realms above me. If he so wished.....'
That though brought shivers through Liang No's spine, so he stopped thinking about it.
"Hehe, sorry for scaring you....."
" Ah, my name is Liang No senior. I'm just a little cultivator without any attachments to any organization and usually only do some escorting job's for the clan's around here.
And , may I know seniors name?" said Liang No somewhat relived. If the person I'm front of him was courteous enough to ask for his name, then his intentions couldn't be as bad as he previously though.
"Oh, so that's your name....hmmmm..... not a bad name. Fine, you shall be ellegiable to enter the first level of this place then!" suddenly said the golden-robed man as his voice reverberated all around .This left Liang No frozen in place as he thought he was about to die.
*Babum Babum Babum*
His heart raced through his chest as he suddenly started to sweat all over, and his legs tingled. He knew, he knew very well what this feeling was as he had felt it multiple times in his life.
' This, this is, what..... what a monster.' thought Liang No as he clenched his jaw slightly.' He completely destroyed my fighting spirit with only a single shout.....I can't imagine what he could do if he was serious.'

"Liang No, today is your lucky that brought you here. Come......" said the golden-robed man as he headed back inside. Liang No who was now sober took a good look at his surroundings and found out he couldn't see anything but a white mist past 5 m from his position.
' It seems that there is no running for me. Heh, that though is really a joke at this point....
And so, after he steeled his resolve, Liang No followed the figure and entered inside the building. As soon as he did that his surroundings completely disappeared and he was left in complete darkness, but only a second after a glowing road appeared below his feet.
"Senior?" called out Liang No, but no answer came even after a minute. Realizing that he had to take the first step on the light road as he didn't see any other options, he closed his eyes and stepped in the ground.
Gradually he opened his eyes as he saw that nothing had happened 'I'm fine....so I guess that I should continue.' And continue he did. Liang No followed the unknown light path to his unknown destination , but as he walked on that road images of things appeared in his vicinity. There appeared images of gigantic swords falling down like meteors, gigantic erupting volcanoes that covered the sun with their ash, tidal floods that could easily wash over North Blue Mountain City, gigantic beast the fought tooth and nail, and trees that were tens of kilometers tall that easily pushed themselves over the clouds, repeatedly beeing baptized by arcing purple lightning.
All these images made Liang No feel like and insignificant little ant in the face of true power. He and many other cultivators like him, weak or strong boosted how what they did was going against the will of the heavens, but no he understood that it was just boosting to an empty room. The raw and destructive power he was repeatedly witnessing with his own eyes made him humbled to tears.
' I was such a fool, a frog in a well that sung praise to himself. Now I know, now I understand the true meaning of those words we cultivators boost about....now I understand the meaning of true power!'
...............
As Liang No revealed in his new understandings, Rex snickered as he saw his first customer doing donuts on the first floor, completely under his illusion formation.
'Haha, seeing him like this is so funny, but I think that this is enough. I don't want to deplete the Qi stored in the formation flags......

With a snap of his fingers, the illusions surrounding Liang No disappeared and a golden staircase appeared instead. Liang No this time didn't hesitate at all and ascended those stairs , a gut feeling telling him he would finally arrive at his destination, and he was right. As soon as he passed the last step he entered a fairly big room that held some shelves , and on those shelves were treasures.
"Thiiss....aaaaaa......
Liang No could feel the Qi emanating from all the things on the shelves, although it wasn't that dense. Still , taking into consideration the quantity of the items it was safe to estimate the he wouldn't be able to by everything here even if he worked his escort job for a hundred more years.
As Liang No approached to see the items closer , a voice came from his back."Heh, surprised at what you're seeing?"
"Ah....
Liang No immediately turned back , saw that the golden-robed man just standing there and immediately clasped his hands with newfound respect."Great senior, I , Liang No am forever indebted to you for the enlightenment you have bestowed upon me. Even though I'm an insignificant little being in your eyes.....if you need anything....I shall do what I can."
Rex looked at the serious face of Liang No and could only speak two words. "Yeah....sure.....
"Senior!"
After an awkward moment of silence Rex spoke once again.
"Liang No, it's your destiny that you have come here and also your good fortune. You now have the opportunity to by anything that resides in the first level of my shop....so I suggest that you don't waste it."
Liang No took a look at his surroundings and he appeared confused "Senior....I apologize, but I don't understand what you mean."
"Hehe" smiled Rex " I don't need to explain anything anymore. Just go take a look at the shelves."
Liang No not wanting to earn the ire of the man in front of him nodded his head and did as Rex said. He first went to the leftmost shelf and saw that in it were different ceramic bottles, and below them was written something. He focused on one of the bottles and read the text below it.
'Yellow Grade , Fire-Lotus medical paste.
Greatly helps with burns and even has the effect to remove volatile Fire Qi. It also has a beautifying effect and can help moisture the skin.'
After he red the first one he continued to read the others.
' Yellow Grade Fasting Pills.
Greatly helps reduce your hunger and keeps your vitality up. In comparison to normal tasteless Fasting Pills , it has a very delicious flavour......
Yellow Grade, Recovery Pill.
Greatly increase the body's ability to heal and even has a all detoxifying effect.
Yellow Grade.....
Yellow Grade.....
Liang No continued to read the description of the ceramic bottles in a stupor and he didn't know when he finished reading all of them.
"This.... senior.... are you a medicine master?" said Liang No without turning his back. He was so surprised at the variety of the medicine in front of him. He guessed that even the apprentice of a medicine master hadn't seen such variety of medicinal pills and pastes in one place.
"Haha" Rex smiled "You could say that, but that doesn't matter to you. So, have you decided what do you want to by?"
"Uhhh....I have." said Liang No a little embarrassed" I have , but I don't know what this Qi-En stated in the description is. Is it a type of currency not used in this continent?"
As he heard those words Rex shook his head. " No, of course not. Qi-En is just a measurement of a certain amount of pure Qi. For example, this gem holds the same amount as 1 Qi-En." said Rex as a small, less than 1 cm in diameter white gem appeared in his right hand. He then threw the gem at Liang No who caught it without thinking twice, and as soon as he did, he was amazed.
' What a pure Qi! It's like I'm sensing a thing that shouldn't exist.' thought Liang No as he clenched the gem in his hand, but soon enough he realized he was beeing rude.
"Senior, forgive my rudeness, but I don't have any Qi stones with this kind of pure Qi. The only stone I have..... is a low quality Qi stone."
" It doesn't matter." immediately answered Rex as he knew he had this in the bag" I can easily extract the pure Qi from anything that contains some type of Qi, so anything holding Immortal Qi can he used to pay for something. Hehe , of course the quality of the Qi is also relevant."
Liang No lowered his head to look at the pure Qi swirling in the gem he was holding and couldn't help but feel luck was finally shinning upon him.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Strangler
A jackass, a Muscle Wizard, and a woman who just wants to fish. In a Sword & Sorcery type of world, can the jackass be the hero he always wanted to be? Or will his mere presence ruin the lives around him. Main Character's Debt tracker added. What to expect: A slow paced story focused on the characters rather than the fate of the world. Weak Lead, his progression would be slow. Pathetic and dependent, I hate him. :) Upload Times: Tuesday/Friday 7:00Am CST (Would switch to MWF when I have more free time)
