《Mana-Script》Chapter 6 - Shouting Match

“What do you think you were doing running off like that?” A girl screamed to Nerissa. The recipient just looked away and pick herself out of the mud. As the mud dripped off her, she looked the screamer in the eye.
“Did I ask to be saved by you?”
“What?” A vein appeared in the girl’s forehead. The question was merely a formality, the brain's immediate response instead of a punch.
“Do your job and heal me.” Nerissa demanded off of her.
“What makes you think I’ll do that? Ask nicely and say my name.”
“How would I know your name? The only thing I know about you is that you heal me and flaunt your gigantic tits.” At this point neither Nerissa or this other girl had any chance of working together and both were more focused on each other.
During their shouting match there was a loud slam as one of their teammates flew through the jungle and into a tree. The tall red headed man came from the Arctic zone and still had snow sprinkled on his head.
Blood poured down his face as he struggled to move. From where he came from four strangers entered; a small woman in a grey sports top and shorts, a muscular woman in a red tank top and black tracksuit bottoms, a guy with black hair and glasses and a man who seemed to have most of the coloured drained from him.
“I told you I could throw him all the way to the zone.” The muscular woman boasted.
“Well yes, I had worked out you could do it. I merely wanted to test my hypothesis and unfortunately, he cracked the tree’s trunk by five centimetres instead of the six I had calculated.” Glasses spoke in a very superior manner.

“Hey…” A weak voiced called out. The red head had his left eye open, as his right was covered by the river of blood that trailed down his face. “Fuck you, you gorilla…” With that the muscular woman snapped and charged at him.
There was a repeated thud. Leaves from the tree rained down onto the ground below. Until finally there was a smash. Her foot had gone straight through the tree. In her rage she had not noticed that the man had been teleported back. Now she was stuck within the tree.
“Oi, get me out!” She cried out to her party, who seemed to be oblivious. They were actually paying attention to something going on within earshot halfway down the arena.
“At least I don’t parade myself around like some whore!” Nerissa shouted, pushing the other girl.
“Oh, so because I have big boobs, I’m a whore? That’s rich coming from the bitch who slept with someone on the first night.”
At that point it turned into an actual fight. Nerissa went to kick the girl, who took the hit to the side.
Hooking her arm around Nerissa’s leg she pushed forward.
Both girls began to tumble down a small hill before crashing into the shallow river below.
The enemy just stood there, blank expressions, Muscles even joined them seeming to forget about the situation her leg was now in.
Suddenly both girls felt something slither around them. The thick green tendrils pulled them apart and held them in the air. The small, thin and pale girl wearing a green top and baggy tracksuit bottoms walked down to the riverbank.
“Stop fighting!” She screamed. She seemed to be breathing heavy, unused to shouting at other people.
“She started it.” Nerissa mumbled.
“Oh, you wanna go another round?” The other fighter aggressively poked her way.

“STOP!” The green one was now aggressive.
Both of the girls had the vines around their waists release and flop to the ground. “How about we use names instead of insults. I’m Camelia.”
“Nerissa”
“Aria-Mae” As she said it Nerissa rolled her eyes at how trashy the name was reaffirming her belief.
“Alright then girls. How about we complete the test, beat those guys up and then continue kill each other?” Camelia asked hopefully.
“Fine” The other two said in unison.
A warm yellow light came from Aria-Mae’s hands and trickled onto Nerissa’s skin. Suddenly the pain in her stomach began to fade.
“Thank you.” She was taken aback.
“I’m doing this because it’s easier.”
Crash, the tree that held Muscles finally broke away due to sheer fear of her. She stomped forward towards the three girls.
“Nerissa, Aria, you two take the ones up ahead and I’ll handle the ones I’ve already got bound.” With a nod the two girls leapt off.
Meeting Muscles at the same time all three had to make a decision.
Muscles threw her fist down at Nerissa, who swiftly dodged to the side.
Now with a wide open side there suddenly a large pressure in her ribs. Aria-Mae had covered her fist in a dark purple light and upon doing so Muscles coughed up blood and flew into the wall of the arena.
They carried on until they both lost all sight.
The Pale guy had removed the ability for light to pass into their eyes, yet they hadn’t stopped.
Forgetting to move out of the way Pale was caught in the stampede of two very angry teenagers.
Finally, there was Glasses and White. White was reached by Aria and Glasses by Nerissa.
White braced herself before the fist collided with her forearms. Just like Jude, who had been in the same situation, she flew back with a now broken arm.
Nerissa stopped when she reached Glasses, he was just stood there watching.
“I have observed that people are hesitant to hit people with glasses. It’s actually considered ableist.”
Saying that Nerissa looked puzzled for a second. She reached her hands to his face. Delicately took his glasses off and then push kicked his chest, sending him straight to the floor.
His demeanor had changed, now looking dumbfounded. She put his glasses in his hand and then went to stamp on his neck.
Her foot kicked up mud around her, splashing Aria-Mae who immediately was pissed.
Just before the could fight again the doors opened up.
Jude ran out “Nerissa! We gotta go help the others!”

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.
