《Immortal Bloodshed》Chapter 7 | Confusion

The dragon is in darkness. It is not the comfortable darkness of its birth or the time it has slept. This darkness is full of pain and suffering. The dragon has turned all its blood mana into lifeforce besides what its body needs to function. That diminished the pain and weakness it felt for a while but after it stopped creating more lifeforce the pain quickly increased, surpassing the time half its body was mutilated.
After what seemed like an eternity or a second passed... the dragon woke up. The first thing it noticed was a terrible rancid smell permeating its nest. Its body is covered in black sludge like liquid that must have been expelled in its sleep.
[Achievement: Miracle Worker! You have survived the poisoning of the [Forest Stalker]. Bonus XP Rewarded!]
[Achievement: Enemies Alike! You have slain and lived through the attack of a Born Monster. Bonus XP Rewarded!]
[Title Gained: Slayer of the Forest Stalker. By killing the Titled Monster that haunts the forests of Vibrant village you have become their hero. Humans who know of your title will have increased favorability of you]
…
The dragon went to clean itself in the river by its nest. It was closer than the pond and the dragon thought that the fish might turn hostile again if it saw the dragon getting its water all dirty.
While washing itself the dragon had a lot to think of. The Stalker Python it killed was different from the others. The dragon had never gotten bitten by any python so the poison might be found in the others but none of them were able to move while in the air.
This could be related to the monster it killed being a Titled Monster or a Born Monster. The dragon didn't know what the second term meant but it knew the first was a monster like itself. One with a title. The dragon had the title [One Who Chooses] and the python had the title of [Forest Stalker]. The dragons title lets it have more options to choose from when it evolved so maybe the pythons title lets it make that invisible pane to jump off it. But the dragon's new title didn't seem to do anything important.

The dragon brought up both its old and new title to compare the descriptions but something went wrong.
[One Who Chooses: You have discovered the blood element. You have chosen the bloodline of Blood Dragon. ???]
It was very long ago when the dragon gained this title but it was sure the description was different. The current description didn't include anything about what the title did. Looking at its new title this one at least said the dragon would gain an increased favorability with humans. Whatever that meant.
Humans must have been a species of monster.
Done cleaning itself off the dragon was ready to hunt again. Its body was back to feeling normal and the dragon could instinctually tell. It was oh so very close to evolving.
…
The dragon was starting to get apathetic about hunting the monsters in the forest. It still did not want to fight an Earth Bear or any of the annoying defensive monsters, so the dragon went back to fighting foxes and pythons. It turns out that all pythons do have poison but they are a lot weaker than the titled monsters poison so the dragon could fight it with lifeforce.

[Evolution will cause loss of consciousness while Bloodline growth is commencing.]
[(Yes/No)]
After killing enough monsters the dragon was ready to evolve once again. This time the dragon would not choose a bloodline but instead progress in it. The dragon learned from last time about the sleep it will enter so it returned to its nest before starting the evolution.
…
[Evolution Complete!]
[You have Evolved into a Blood Dragon!]

The dragon felt different. It felt more powerful but what it felt the most was how large it got. If its previous size could say to be a small car then its current size was a 18 wheeler truck. Not that the dragon knew what those were.
Its horns were now fully grown, Its tail had gotten even longer and the most drastic change was that it now had wings! Its wings were currently folded up on its back. The dragon wanted to immediately test out its new wings but its nest was now too small for it. The dragon would have to dig itself out of its nest with its claws because the tunnel leading out was too small for its new form. However it seemed like the surprises from evolving have yet to end.

There's Always A Catch
Measured, clacking sounds of high-heels can be heard walking towards an elegantly decorated hall; illuminated only by the sun’s rays streaming down from glass panels, grand frescoes decorating its concave ceiling. Two imposing guards stationed at the entrance saluted as she passed by, stopping before the foot of a raised dais. “My Lady.” She reverently said, bowing deeply to the woman sitting on the throne. Eyes lazily opened and a smirk slowly forming on her tinted lips. “So it's time.” ••••• How does one act when luck granted power unimaginable. To rule? Become rich? Murder? A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
