A young man dressed in black who looked about 15 years old entered the building. Building was noisy with the smell of alcohol in prevalent in the air. He walked towards the back of the bar which had a door with a board on which guild office was written. He felt gazes upon him as soon as he entered which were sizing him up. They looked neat and tidy with a long counter with 5 receptionist s sitting behind it. Walked up to one of them, Drake walked over to one of the empty counters and said to them ’’I want to register myself as a mercenary’’. The lady gave him a green coloured card which had a metallic sheen to it. And told him to drip some blood on it. As soon as Drake had done that the lady said-
‘’That card is now bound to you and cannot be used by anyone else it will show you your rank and will be your proof of being a mercenary. I will now tell the rules-
You can undertake all forms of missions from herb gathering, treasure hunting, exploration to magical beast hunting and bandit The guild will not involve itself in your personal affairs and the consequences of your actions but it shall protect you in case of problems caused due to guild missions. The guild acts the intermediary when issuing missions and will take 5% of reward as commission. You can leave the guild at any point without any repercussions. Your rank increases based on your performance and your contribution to the guild on missions. Your guild card can be used to view the existing missions. At the end of any mission you can drip a drop of blood and the guild card will record the final outcome of the mission. The reward can be collected at any mercenary guild branch by showing your card.
Well that’s it for the rules don’t lose the card as you will have to pay quite the hefty sum if you lose it well you are mercenary from now on go undertake missions.’’

7th of the month of elves, 1537- Drake Astorius became a mercenary.
.….. …...
Drake was looking at the guild card while searching for missions he found quite a few subjugation missions and herb gathering missions which looked fairly simple. The subjugation quest was for hunting dire wolves a low class magic beast. And to search for Rusoc grass. This was a commonly found herb which had many uses in healing and medical treatment mercenaries usually carried some with them when on missions. He was very good at identifying and finding herbs and would be able to find the best quality rusoc grass. He went to the market and quickly bought a map. He was a little excited due to it being his first mission and first time in combat.
He quickly exited the town and looked at his waist as both the daggers turned into swords. The book that he had learned had another name which would be known by drake only in the future. It allowed him gain understanding of his body and also allowed him to create his own techniques which would evolve as he got stronger. He planned to create his own sword technique through combat. This task was not an easy one since what he was planning to a dual wielding style. But compared to others he would have an easier time since the most important ability to be able to dual wield was to be able to split his attention into two and accomplish two different tasks at the same time which he was able to do due to the strict training by his grandfather.
While thinking all this he had already reached the outskirts of the Hekkalion Mountain Range. He took a deep breath before putting on his cloak and started rushing into the mountain range. The next 1 and a half years’ drake was planning to complete missions in this range while at the same time training . He first searched for a place where there was thick natural energy. He found a small valley surrounded on all sides where many low level magical beast roars could be heard and also found many different herbs in this valley. He found a cave near a cliff and planned to create his temporary base here. The cave did not have a large opening it was just enough for two people enter. He first found a rock which he then started to carve into an exactly fitting door with which he covered the entrance the cave was quite large he then carved a stone bed and a table it turned into a habitable place. He then fixed glow stones which were quite cheap to make a well lit. After doing all this he checked his gear and went out to fight. He searched for a few hours and finally found a dire wolf which was alone since most of them stayed in packs of hundreds and it was quite difficult to fight a pack until and unless a person was in the channel connection stage the second stage in warrior training. He observed the wolf from 10 m away as he slowly started closing in for the kill. He quickly rushed towards the wolf with his swords out but the wolf noticed him and dodged. It then pounced towards him Drake felt his blood rushing through his veins as he looked at the wolf pouncing over his left eye gave a golden glow as he felt as if the world slowed down he could see every movement of the wolf in slow motion as he took a step to the left. Even though he stepped to the left he was a bit slow as one of the claws still hit his arm and left a few scratches. He hissed with pain as he finally became a bit more alert the lift turned and started circling him. Looking at the wolf he took a deep breath and sheathed both his swords and held the hilt of destruction still in his sheath he looked at the wolf with eyes full of battle intent as he took a sword drawing stance just like a samurai would while performing iai. The wolf looked at him with a malevolent gaze as it immediately pounced on him the world once again slowed down in Drakes eye as it pounced on him Drake unsheathed his sword in a quick draw and moved in behind the wolf. He sheathed the sword as the wolf fell behind him with a slit across its neck. Drake had an excited look in his eyes when he thought about this battle and the strange ability of the golden ye to slow down things. Then he remembered his situation and immediately stored the wolf’s body and hurried away while applying some ointment on his wound. Soon after he left a pack of dire wolves appeared in the place. If Drake had not escaped he would have ended up as food for the wolves.

After this battle drake noticed the inconsistencies in his movements and started training his control of his body and the sheathing and unsheathing of his swords in a quick manner. He set into a regular routine of hunting in the mornings while studying the medicine god index and collecting herbs in the afternoon and training the primal chaos scripture at night. The force in his body kept increasing as his body became stronger this regular routine would continue for six months and soon would be disrupted….
