The following day, the entire town was loaded in a staging area. People were cheering nonstop, excited that the long awaited tournament would finally begin. In the midst of this, Nina, Sakura, and Majin were looking for a place to sit.

“ Wow this competition looks amazing. It's like a festival. And the stage area is enormous. Since Alicia and the others are fighting, we just need to kick back and relax. C'mon, let's sit here.”- Nina

“ It's so crowded her. You can tell it's a big deal.”- Sakura

“ Oh look, there's a vendor selling fried fish. Excuse me, we'll take some please.”- nina

“ Her ya go ma'am.”- vendor

As Nina was negotiating, Sakura had a worried look on her face. She was interrupted from her musings by the sight of fish.

“ Here ya go Sakura. It's really good.”- nina

“ Oh. Aaahh. Thank you Nina.”- Sakura

“ C'mon Sakura, Felix will be fighting soon. You should look forward to it.”- nina

“ That's what I'm worried about. Felix is strong, no question about that, but he's also a caring individual. I just don't want him to get hurt.”- Sakura

“ Not all warriors are brutes you know? Just because a person is strong doesn't mean their violent and cruel. As a matter of fact, duelists need to have a certain level of discipline. So there's little chance of fowl play. Felix just needs to worry about showing his skills. Besides, much like Alicia, I to am curious about Felix full strength. I've ever only seen a glimpse of it, and I'm hoping this tournament will shed some light on it.”- Nina

“ I guess so.”- Sakura

“ Hey you guys, over here!”- Annie

“ Hey Annie, shouldn't you be getting ready.”- Nina

“ Don't sweat it, it's fine as long as I'm there for my turn. Anyway don't want to have a closer look? We have these special seating areas for those we classify as our managers. The fighters can have up to two managers at least. In other words, instant front seats, isn't that convenient.?”- Annie

( I can easily be close to Felix) I'll do it!”- Annie

“ See, now that's the spirit.”- Annie

“ Well then, I guess we have no choice. C'mon Majin.”- Nina

“ Alright then, our choice is clear!”- Annie

Meanwhile, Felix was in the waiting area preparing for his match. He observed everyone that was in the area and made a mental analysis of who was stronger than who.

( Hmm, not bad. These fighters are clearly of high level. Whether they be magicians or duelists, there's no sense of inferiority. I may have to use more than just ' Hercules might’ to take some of these guys on. Honestly I'd prefer to keep my other abilities in the dark, but something tells me that the truth will come out at this point. For now, I'd better start strategizing to take care of the ongoing threat. Now, which person is my first opponent?) Felix

“ Um excuse me.”- stranger

“ Eeh?”- Felix

As Felix was contemplating his strategy, a young girl appeared right in front of him. She had light brown hair and wore what looked like a nun outfit, though he could still make out she had a good figure.

“ Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you. I'm sister Coraline, and it looks like I'll be your first opponent.”- Coraline

“ Ah I see, my name is Felix, Felix Drake. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.”- Felix

“ Pleasure’s all mine. I just wanted to take this time to meet you before entering the stage. I'm one of the sisters that serve the goddess of light, Ciana.”- Coraline

“ That would explain the outfit( wow she's gorgeous).”- Felix

“ Your name….. Drake…”

“ Oh yes, Drake is my family name.”

“ Ehehehe. I seem to have run out of luck. To think that my first fight would be against a descendent of Alex Drake.”

Hey now, don't tell yourself short. From what I can see, you've got some serious training under your belt.”

“ Wow, you have pretty good observation skills. So what are you, a mage, a duelists.”

I'm honestly not sure what I fall under. I'm mainly using this tournament as a form of training to gauge my strength.”

“ Hehehehe, well aren't you humble.”

“ In any case, I'm surprised that a sister of the light goddess would participate in such an event.”

When Coraline heard this, her face turned dark instantly.

“ Indeed. You might not believe this, but while I was praying, I felt a dark presence had entered this tournament.”

“!!!!!”

“ The goddess warned me that a great evil has invaded this country. As her servant I couldn't ignore this. So I gathered my companions and entered this tournament.”

“ (That dark presence. It must be the demons. This could alter my strategy.) Wait did you say companions?”

“ Coraline, it's time to prepare.”- 1 companion

“ Yeah the tournament’s starting.”- 2 companion

Two females called out to Coraline. One wore a dress, the other wore what looked like a kung fu outfit.

“ Alright, I'm coming! Felix, you really are a nice person. So let's have a fair fight. I'll make sure to fight with everything I have.”- Coraline

“ Indeed, I'll be honored to have a match with you.”- Felix

Coraline left to join her other companions, leaving Felix alone with his thoughts.

( So, it looks like their presence didn't go unnoticed. This may alter my plans in some way.)

He didn't know how right he was. Meanwhile, the announcer finally made his to the stage. He used magic to reverberate his voice across the entire stadium.

“ Thank you audience, for your patience. Once again, after five years, the World Fighting Competition is about to begin!”- announcer

Thunderous applause radiated itself throughout the entire stadium. The crowd was completely hyped up and ready to see some violence. Even Nina and the rest joined in the excitement.

“ For the first match, we have the blonde beauty who captivates the soul, Alicia Rand Philistine! And opposite of her, we have the scourge from Hanes. His strength is not measured by his size. Creed Selzen!”- announcer

As the crowd cheered, Alicia observed her opponent. He appeared a little taller than a dwarf, but without the muscular build. He wore light clothing and no armor except for the gauntlets he wore on his hands. The only thing out of place was the dark gleam in his eyes.

“ The rules are as follows. To defeat the candidate, he/she must be either knocked out or thrown of the ring. Admitting defeat also counts as a loss. Killing is not permitted. However, the kingdom will not be held accountable for whatever injuries you may acquire during the fight. Now, let the first match, BEGIN!”- announcer

With everyone hyped up, the announcer moved off the stage so the opponents could begin.

“ Seriously, a midget like this is my first opponent? How pathetic. Just get off the stage now and save us some trouble.”- Alicia

“ Hehehehe, you're a mage right? That's great. The one thing I like doing is slicing up mages. Especially blonde ones with buxom figures.”- Creed

“ You really have a death wish you little shrub. In that case I'll grant it!”- Alicia

Alicia begins chanting to unleash her spell. However, she didn't get halfway through through the chant before Creed suddenly vanished from his position. “ Waa? Where did he?”- Alicia

“ Looking somewhere?”- Creed

“ What the?”- Alicia

“ When dealing with mage, you just gotta get in fast and break their.”- Creed

Creed appeared right below Alicia, out of her line of sight. Creed brought his gloved hand forward, producing three long claws, and made a swipe for Alicia. Alicia managed to evade a fatal blow but it tore through her magic clothes.

“ Unbelievable! Those claws were able to cut through Alicia's magic garb! Clearly those aren't regular blades!”- Nina

“ How dare you!”- Alicia

“ Hahahaha, how do you like that? Are you prepared to surrender now?”- Creed

With her upper body exposed, Alicia got a lot of cheers for ovr for obvious reasons. Nina and the rest we're utterly embarrassed because of Alicia's display.

“ Hahahaha! As if I'd be embarrassed just because I'm exposed! Gaze at me as much as you want! It doesn't bother anyone!”- Alicia

( Someone please stop her.)- nina

“ In any case, you tried to harm this body, so now…!”- Alicia

( This presence!)- Creed

“ WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU? THIS IS A FIGHT, NOT A STRIP CLUB ALICIA! HURRY UP AND COVER YOURSELF!”- Felix

Felix was in the entranceway watching how Alicia's fight would play out. He didn't think he'd have to worry as long as it was her, but it looked like he'd have to intervene. This didn't bother the audience as they got a good laugh out of this. Nina and the others did their best to keep their heads down.

“ Seriously Felix, you worry over the smallest things.”- Alicia

With a little magic, Alicia restored her clothes, thus ending the display much to the dismay of some of the audience ( guess who).

“ There, better now.”- Alicia

“ PAY ATTENTION TO THE FIGHT!”- Felix

“ Heh, looks like someone really was bothered.( This lady definitely has some strong mana. If I let her build up enough, it could pose a problem for me. My best option is to take her out as quickly as possible. Thankfully, her stance is full of openings and her busts make it hard for swift movement. First I'll cripple her legs and then knock her out.)”- Creed

Creed began to do a series of high speed movements, the audience could barely get a glimpse of him. After thinking that was enough, he went behind Alicia to go for the strike to the legs.

“ Windstorm”

Alicia calmly pointed her finger up and summoned a wall of wind that caught a surprised Creed and started to turn into a tornado.

( What? How could she have stored this much mana? And be capable of chantless magic.?) Creed

( There ya go Alicia.) Nina

“ Heh, for your offense, I'll let you off with only this.”- Alicia

“ Firebolt”

Alicia summoned a small ball of fire and applied it the tornado. It increased the fire’s potency, severely burning Creed.

“ YAAAAAHHHH, IT'S HHHOOOTTT!”- Creed

“ That idiot!”- Felix

“ Alicia, no!”- Nina

“ So, wanna give up?”- Alicia

“ I LOST! I LOOOOSSTT!”- Creed

Alicia immediately summoned a wave of wind and sent it at Creed, putting out all the flames. Other than being blackened, he was still alive.

“ Hey ref, care to say something?”- Alicia

“ Ah, right. The winner of the first match is the mage, Alicia Rand Philistine.”- announcer

“ “ “ AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH”””

The stadium was flooded with sounds of applause and cheers. Alicia just stood there, soaking it all up. She made her way to waiting area where Felix, Nina, and the rest were present.

“ So what did you think Felix, was I awesome?”- Alicia

“ I would not use that word at all.”- Felix

“ WHAT? AND JUST WHAT WAS AWFUL ABOUT IT!”- Alicia

“ How about the fact that you let your guard down and the fact you were providing fan service?”- Felix

“ Hey, hey, hey let's all calm down now. The end result is she won, so let it rest now.”- nina

“ Ugh fine, but promise me no more letting your guard down for the rest of the matches.”- Felix

“ Seriously, I've already made one promise, now I have to make another?”- Alicia

“ I'm serious Alicia! That habit of looking down at your opponent is a serious downside of your skills! It's why you're always caught unawares! Keep your guard up and no more naked fights, I mean it!”- Felix

“ What do think I am, an exhibitionist?”- Alicia

“ Thank you. You did a good job not killing your opponent. I'm glad you managed to win.”- Felix

“ Well, well, well, it looks like you were worried I'd actually lose. I didn't know you actually cared.”- Alicia

“ In case you've forgotten, we are in the middle of a serious operation. It wouldn't do much good to lose our pieces so early in. So yes I was a little worried in that sense.”- Felix

“ Whatever you say. Anyway, it's really annoying since I can't kill my opponent. And adjusting my strength to the bare minimal is just so strenuous.”- Alicia

“ You're just lazy.”- Felix

“ Umm, Mr Felix?”- Sakura

“ Hey Sakura, what's up?”- Felix

“ You'll be fighting the last match in the single round, yes? I -- I just wanted to say that during your match, if things get too hard, don't hesitate to forfeit.”- Sakura

“ Come now Sakura, have a little faith in me. It's not like me to get myself in way over my head. Besides, this is good training for me to really test my skills.”- Felix

“ True enough, don't you think you're underestimating him too much Sakura?”- Felix

“ What do you mean ‘ underestimating’? I'm simply thinking about Felix's well-being! Honestly, I feel like I'm the only one who cares compared to you!”- Sakura

“ Just what the heck do you know? I've been with Felix since this journey started! I know a lot more about him than you do!”- Alicia

“ W- what!”- Sakura

“ You heard me! You are nothing but an outsider who got purchased by Felix's whim! You've got no right to say anything you HOMUNCULUS!”- Alicia

“ BANG”

“ YOWCH! Will you stop hitting me on the head!”- Alicia

“ Apologize! Now!”- felix

“ I was only telling the truth!”- Alicia

“ I don't care! I don't need you to talk for me. I'm not someone who just changes his mind at the flip of a hat either. There some things that shouldn't be said and you exceeded that.”- Felix

“ It's alright Mr Felix. She doesn't have to.”- Sakura

“ Sakura.”- Felix

“ It's fine. I'll be going now.”- Sakura.

Sakura made her way out of the waiting area. Felix could tell she was easily shaken up by Alicia's statement, which is why he was giving her a cold look.

“......”- Felix

“ What?”- Alicia

“ …..”- Felix

Come on! Don't give me that look!”- Alicia

“ …..”- Felix

“ Alright fine. I'll try to make it up to her. Come on Annie, I'm famished so let's eat.”- Alicia

“ Yes mistress.”- Annie

Alicia and Annie left to find food, while hoping to run into Sakura along the way. This left the others to enjoy the matches.

“ She wasn't trying to be cold you know? She really does have your best interests at heart.”- Nina

“ I know. But that doesn't mean she can just say whatever she wants.”- Felix

“ Try not to worry over it. Alicia truly does value Sakura as a companion.”- Nina

“ Just wish she would show it more. Come on let's watch the other fights.”- Felix

A good number of fights had finished by the time Alicia returned with Sakura. The next match was between a dark-skinned man with big muscles against Coraline’s friend with the tight kung fu outfit. He learned that her name is Arial Sylph. She's a duelists who comes from a long line of fighters. Her outfit didn't cover her arms or legs so he could see the toned muscles. They actually added to her sexual appeal. The fight started and the big man started with a flurry of fists. Arial effortlessly blocked the attacks then started countering with a flash of fluid movements.

( Those attacks! There similar to the roots of Tai chi! How did something like that manage to make its way in this world? I may have to get close to her in order to get the full story!) Felix

The girl's attack were doing a number on the big guy. the attacks continue to pile up until finally she decided to take the finishing blow.

“Falcon strike”

“GAAAHHH”

Arial shot her palm into the big guy sending him flying off the stage and into the wall. He was completely unconscious.

“The winner of this match is the Duelist Ariel Sylph!” announcer

“Interesting,this girl has much more power than meets the eye. Her fighting style is very otherworldly and she clearly has control or her magic as well.” Felix

“So I guess you are into muscle girls are you, Felix?” Alicia

“First of all she's not that muscled, she's actually pretty gorgeous.” Felix

“HMPH. Keep in mind that you may have to find her soon so don't get so attached.” alicia

“Layoff would you.” Felix

Nina saw the quarrel between those two and decided to see if she could have a little fun.

“Hey Felix you want to know a good way to get an Alicia is good side?” Nina

“And that would be.” Felix

“Tell Aliciathat she looks beautiful. She’ll love it.” Nina

“Are you kidding me? That woman has too much of an ego as it is. I'm not about to add to it by feeding her compliments.” Felix

“What a buzz kill.” Nina

“For the next month we have the great Summoner Annie Mae's vs the Summoner Holly Hollen.” Announcer

“All right Annie you're next!” Nina

“Haha so her first opponent is a spirit Summoner? Interesting.” Alicia

“Spirits Summoner?” Felix

“Yes they are beings that are capable of summoning a spirit From Another Dimension. When it comes to summoning, the number of spirits you can summon depends mainly on luck. Spirits tend to be proud beings and it takes a really special someone to get their attention. Honestly, it's more easier for elves to be Spirit Summoners than it is for humans, but it's not hard. Spirits als fall under one of the four elements and it's rare for one person to have Spirits from multiple elements.” Nina

“That's enough for the explanations Nina. Let Felix watch the fight.” Alicia

Annie and Holly began quote a short chant as soon as the match began. Felix could tell that while both fall under the profession of summons, how they use their magic greatly deferred

“Blackbird”

“Wind spirits”

Finishing their chant. a giant bird stood right beside Annie while at least 5 wind Spirits surrounded Holly. Annie’s bird had the appearance of a black raven with 6 eyes instead of the usual two. The wind spirits had a ghost like appearance with pointy ears and female figures. The Blackbird let out a mighty cry, as it flapped its wings at the site of a challenge. The winds drawn up by its wings was so enormous that it affected everyone in the stadium like they were about to get blown away.

“Such power!” Sakura

“This feels a little Overkill.” Felix

“That girl!” She didn't have to summon a massive creature!” Nina

“That's Annie for you.” Alicia

“She's as foolish as someone else I know.” Nina

“WHAT WAS THAT!” Alicia

The presence of the Blackbird was so great that even the spirits were being overwhelmed. It was taking all the strength to prevent Holly from being blown away.

“What kind of power is this? She's not ordinary at all!” Holly

“Did you really think that it was going to be that easy? I'm not just your average summoner. The power I wield is a millennia ahead of yours. Just do yourself a favor and just give up now.” Annie

“Not a chance!” Holly

“ Hurricane Lance”

All the wind spirits got together and hurled a mass of twirling wind Spears at Annie. Unfortunately they couldn’t even get close to her as they dissipated.

“What!” Holly

“Is that seriously the best you can do. I guess it was too much to expect anything from a puny mage. Since its lady Alicia's orders, I won't kill you be so be grateful.” Annie

“Black gale”

With one flap its wings, the blackbird blew a huge gale of wind. It was so powerful that that it caused the spirit to dissipate and send Holly flying off the stage crashing into the wall. As she got her bearings, she was surprised to see that she had no injuries.

“You were lucky to get out of that in one piece. Let this be a lesson to you.” annie

“And the winner of this match is none other than the Mage Summoner Annie!” Announcer

“All right Annie! Instant Victory!” Nina

“Still feel like she went a little overboard.” Felix

“It's to be expected. With this, we should have no problem blazing through these matches. There's a good chance we'll be able to meet each other in the final match.” Alicia

Why the crowds were cheering, Felix went to a state of contemplation. He could tell that each of these individuals had enough power that could rival a country even in his world. He just couldn't help but wonder why Alex didn't just spare Alicia but her entire team as well. Felix was so busy contemplating, that he almost missed the next match. It was between a female night and a male fighter. The male fighter was easily dominating the match. He Unleashed a powerful punch that destroyed the girls sword then quickly got out of her right behind her. He then elbowed her neck which instantly knocked her out. Felix was surprised by his display of skill.

(Interesting. His fighting stance is wrong and full of openings, but he definitely has a talent for martial arts. If he was born in my world he would’ve definitely become a great martial artist, maybe even one that can rival me. Anyway no need to dwell on that, my matches coming up soon. I should probably get down there and get ready.) Felix
