Life of a princess.

It's not easy as it sounds.

Need to act like a civil lady all the time, not even able to talk to people normally.

Never allowed to play sports and other fun stuff, and always go to boring parties.

This story begins with a good princess, loved by everyone.

Famous throughout the kingdom, the tales of whose beauty was sung in other countries.

Though the citizens of Girasia has never seen her in person, they have heard from the people working in the castle.

Some even say that she is an apostle of Goddess Serifa.

Even the church has went to the castle to ask her to join as a priestess, but the King denyed them.

He was very protective of his daughter, during the birth of the princess, the queen died.

So alone, the king raised the princess in a very protective manner.

Even now, the princess who acted like a noble and civil lady was guarded by 4 womens.

"Has the father allowed for shopping."

The silver haired princess asked her attendant, who was walking outside the encirclement of guards.

"Yes your majesty.... But as a security measure... Captain Connor and his battalian will be guarding throughout the market."

-'It's just capital market..... and father is forcing that old dog on me again!! I am not 10 anymore'

And at that time, marrying someone twice or thrice the age was common norm.

But the old dog, she was talking about was a 26yr old Royal knight, he was only 9 yrs older than her.

"Is the carriage ready?"

"Yes your majesty.... Captain Connor is waiting for your arrival."

The princess followed her attendant and arrived at a lavishly decorated carriage.

In front of the carriage gate stood a handsome young man in silver armour, he carried a greatsword on his torso, and had a very heroic aura around him.

Putting her back of the palm in front of the armoured man."Captain" While getting down a bit, she mentioned.

And the mangot to his knees and kissed the princess hand in return."Good Morning princess!!"

Like a gentleman, he opened the door of the carriage and gently helped the princess to climb in it. He never left her hand during the whole small ordeal.

There was no sign of disgust on the princess's face , but as soon as she entered the carriage, she took out a handkerchief and rubbed the place where the Captain kissed her.

No one can see it from the front of the carriage, but from behind, it was surrounded with 20 men in bronze armour.

After getting the signal from the captain Connor, the carriage driver took off, followed by 21 men guarding the vehicle.

The 4 women from before, too guarded at the four conners of the carriage.

They were the princess's personal bodyguard.

As for her attendant, she was asked to not come by the princess. The princess wanted to be left alone while shopping.

As the group left the castle and entered the city streets, people walking on the sidewalks stared with shine in there eyes.

"Is it the king?"

"No!! see there, it's Captain Connor....."

"If captain Connor just bed me for a night!!"... said an old lady on the street.(Yeah!! occasional laughs is good in novels)

A commotion started, as the princess exited the carriage.

The people for the first time can see the princess. Even though she was surrounded by guards, glimpse of her hair can be seen flowing in the air.

"OOOH!! it's the princess....!!"

"Yeah!! she came out!!"

The commotion got bigger as the tie went on.

The princess entered a large store and been there for 1 hour before coming out.

She visited all the landmarks in the capital, and was followed by 100's of people. But as though it was normal, she ignored it.

There was no joy on her face, getting followed even in her first outing.

At the end of the day, when the sun was at the horizon.

She went to the biggest hotel of capital for dinner, but to her surprise Captain Connor escorted her for dinner.

The whole floor was emptied for the princess and the Captain.

"My princess!!" the captain like a gentleman, sat the princess on a chair and then went to sit in front of her.

And for the first time, her personal bodyguards weren't to be seen.

-Father again!! This was all a setup.

"Did you have a nice day your majesty?"

"Yes it was good change of pace than the usual life I had."

Talking about the day, most of the time only the Connor asked her question with the princess giving him empty answers.

As the food came, Connor got silent, and as a creepy guy, he only ate when the princess ate.

The princess was really creeped out by it.

She got up."Excuse me!!"

After wipping her mouth, she entered the ladies bathroom, and as usual, it was empty.

She looked around for some time, and seeing that no one was in the bathroom.

"5row-10th column....!!"

After reaching a certain tile, she tapped at it with her leg and hearing a thuck sound.

"Here it is...!"

She got down, and easily removed the tile with her hand.

"Princess are you alright!!"A voice came from outside the toilet room. It belonged to one of her bodyguard.

" I will come out soon."

She picked up pace, and jumped inside the hole on the floor.

She then placed the tile slowly, but before closing it she threw a piece of paper which accidently fell inside a dustbin and then completely closed the hole.

There was only dark now.... She can not even see her own hands.

"Light!" In her hand a globe of light lit up... brightening the whole area.

It was a tunnel in the underground. She followed the tunnel and came across a sewer system of the city.

Turmoil had already started in the city... the princess disappeared on her first outing.

She saw light in a corner and went there.

"Mariah!!"It was her attendant.

"your highness.... here is the bag and your new clothes."

The hair of the princess turned black, and she changed her clothes in front of her attendant.

"Do you have a sword ready?"

"Yes your majesty!!... here it is!!" It was a rusty sword, the princess took it and placing it on back of her hair.

*Shwick!!

She cut down her hair, they fell down as they turning silver again.

She was left with small black hair, the princess got down and smeared the algae on her face, making her look like a normal citizen.

"Princess do you know.... in the sewer... it's......"

"Please don't speak!!"

The princess knew, what flowed in the tunnels of sewers, but for her long awaited freedom, she was ready to do anything.

"Princess... are you sure?"

"I have already planned everything."

"I am not talking about it... it's your father!!"

The princess looked toward Mariah.

"don't worry!!"

"Yes princess..."

"The exits will be closed now..... and the sewer will soon be searched... you go back up!! I am going to get out of here."

As Mariah went back, the princess opened the bag provided by Mariah and took out a map.

It was the map of the sewer system.

And there was only one exit outside the city. And if she didn't reach in time.. that exit will soon be closed.

"Ok!!" She placed the sword on her waist and with a shining globe by her side, she navigated through the tunnels.

There was no one in the sewer beside some rats and critters.

It took her a whole night before she reached the exit.

It was morning when she came out.

At a distance, she can still see the city and the castle she lived in, She didn't dwandle long.

Knowing that people out there were searching for her, she went inside the forest to hide.

"I am free!!"

The capital was in turmoil, a curfew was forced in the city streets.

They had already found the tunnel, and knws that it was all part of an elaborat plan.

Whose plan? they didn't know.

The king was on a mad hunt...and as for the Captain Connor, he was ashamed and searched for the princess with everything he had.

Increasing the search area didn't provide any results.

"I want every house to be searched.. every corner checked up....!! check the warehouses..don't even let those pesky nobles go...!!"

Was the command from the king, what he blamed was not his daughter, it was himself that he blamed most.

"I shouldn't had let her go!!"

Even the princess's attendant was questioned with magic, but nothing came out.

"Who took her??"

The king never though for a second that his daughter may have ran away, instead he believed she was kidnapped, and checked every group he can get his eyes on.

Caravans and people moving in group were priorities, lone wanderers were left alone.

The search area increased outside the city, but they still didn't get anything.

At the second day, posters of the princess was pasted all over the capital and neighboring cities, the word was spreading and the people were able to completely see the princess in the picture.

It created a commotion of it's own, but that talk is for later.

After the 2nd week, the intensity of the search multiplied, resulting in some accidents.

The prestiege of the king pummulted... if he can not even take care of his daughter... then how will he take care of a country?

But to the unnamed princess, it all didn't matter.

What she thirsted for most was freedom, and to pursue her dream.

One of her wish is completed, now for her second wish.. it's just a matter of time.

Though she may not know, that her fate will lead her to a mad man.
