Day 1 (1am)
“Why the fuck are you laughing?” Ethan growled as the robotic laughter filled the room. “What's so funny?” he yelled, frustrated with the machine.
“Slayer: Title acknowledges savage brutal combat. Give flesh to break bone. Bearer gains extra Contribution Points awarded for each kill.” Mogis supplied seriously. Its tone changed abruptly. “You would be an excellent all rounder.” it said and poked your leg. “Just need the right organics and gear.” the robot looked down. “4,000? That’s really good for a level two even.” It seemed pleased by that.
Ethan stared down at his arms. The small scars running down his arms. Was this it? Has the world truly ended? He never really wanted to fight with his hands ever again. “All rounder? Explain. Slowly. Or I’m not doing anything until I know more.” He stated his demands. Glowering at the thing in front of him.
“I’ve already given the basic guidelines speech, did you not see the announcement? Your tiny world human, the Golems of Gordano took everything and turned it into reality tv. Except unlike your reality tv ours is real unscripted madness.” The red lines across its body pulsed in time with his words, a voice that you would expect from a robot. Short and to the point.
“Saw the...yeah I saw it. I holed up in my bathroom and fought goblin things.” He sighed and glanced down. “I wasn’t very good at it, and that thing nearly killed me.” He said and pointed over at the rhino monster still lurking outside. He was probably safe in here.
“Ah so you missed everything, I didn’t think that was possible.” It stayed silent for several moments before speaking again. “I will give you a basic rundown, from there you will be able to make basic decisions and grow. Grow as strong as you can, if you can survive you can thrive.” it said and “The universe is ruled by megacorporations. The Golems of Gordano, The Mutant Multitudes, and The Collective. Each has its own area of specialty and each constantly seeks to one up the other. Your world has been added to the game show known as the World Ending Trials. You fight other invaders and maybe you gain wealth beyond your wildest dreams, or maybe you die in the dirt forgotten for all eternity.” Mogis explained dispassionately. “You don’t even have to worry about anything besides that Rock Dragon over there.” Pointing at the door where it still stalked back and forth.

“Okay so what the hell should I do?” Ethan asked and looked up at the Golem. “How do I even know what enhancements to get?” He looked down at his hands, barely able to beat a goblin. Humanity was doomed, we used our minds to be dangerous. Without the technology of generations to help us...how were we supposed to survive?
Glancing down at the pitiful human the robot seemed to sigh sighed. “Human, I am here to help you, I survived most of the World Ending Trials on my planet. So I am here to help all those that are worthy.” It said, lowering its hand to reveal a small white circle. From that circle a list popped up. “Those are the items and enhancements available based on your level and your titles. Approach the vending machines to make a purchase, The Collective always hides their vendor with stealth tech but their gear isn’t restricted by level. Good luck finding it. If you become worthy, I will find you” it said and promptly turned on its heels and left.
Honestly that gave more questions than answers but he had to take what he could get. Maybe he could find this secret machine. Nobody but him was walking around. His adrenaline was running high and the Dragon outside was not going to let him sleep easy out here. Looking around he saw white floors and walls. The entire area was mostly open space with two vending machines on the walls. There were also doors labeled Rooms, Kitchen, and Workshop. Knowing what the other doors lead to Ethan glanced around. It was time to look for this secret vending machine, no level restrictions was too good to pass up. Afterwards he would look to sleep in a room.
He walked nearly every inch of the white metal, slowly covering every individual tile. With a sigh he looked out over the floors. That had taken hours and he got nowhere. He’d find that machine later. Turning his interests to the small circle and the list popped up. It was a short list for the organics. They were the most expensive but you could lose an item, organics were tied to your DNA. Can’t lose that. Your body can’t be stolen or hacked, but it can break. Which is why he needed to get stronger.

“They all sound insane, throwing lightning? Poison Blood?” He mumbled as he walked around the pristine white floors, searching for the hidden machine. Glancing over at the two others. One looked very fancy, glowing lights and clean lines. A white front that changed colors as he moved around the room. A soft blue glow lit up the bottom and sides as red words lazily circled around the top proudly proclaiming its origin and maker, The Golems of Gordano, the best tech in the Universe!
The other looked like someone had put a massive Ipad instead of a regular glass screen. The screen was blank except for the words The Mutant Multitudes, Unparalleled. It seemed rather odd for the building to only have two vending machines in it. Ethan was used to stores filled with people and rows upon rows of items. The room echoed with his thoughts, and the growls of the angry...what did the machine call it? A Rock Dragon. How was he going to kill that thing?
