“I'm so glad everything worked out like I thought it would," Daphnia said, walking back into the room followed by Madison. Swing sideways so could sit on the edge of the bed, looking at me with concern. Daphnia said, "Do you feel alright, maybe you shouldn't get up yet?” In a reassuring tone, I said, "I'm okay, really, just a little shaken, that's all.” Taking a seat in a chair directly across from, Looking apologetic. Daphnia said, " I'd like to apologize, it never crossed my mind that you would know about how the lockers work in Marble hall. Looking at her in confusion, I said, "What do you have to be sorry about! What does Marble hall have to do with anything that happened?”
“I'm sure constable Sherk asked you something about a permit, which in case you don't know what that is. It's a type of identification used by Free city every resident and visitor must have one if they plan on entering the city. Well, we filed for a permit for you while you were unconscious. Seeing as my daughter, was sure to hound you to go sightseeing. I figured she'd take you to the Marble Hall. First, it's her favorite place, and you could get cleaned up there. So I got some cloth ready and your permit, and put them in our personal room and told Alfred about them. But your permit was with your shoes and a small guide book in the lower section of the locker.” Daphnia said, her eyes spoke volumes about how bad she felt.
Cutting in and looking down, Madison said, "I'm sorry as well I was too excited to show you around Free city I didn't even pay attention.” “Alfred wanted to apologize too, but his dad came to pick him up, he definitely wasn't happy mostly because of politics," Madison said, shrugging. “Really it's okay, I'm okay, you guys are taking this too seriously things happen but thank you for caring so much," I said, my face flushed with embarrassment.

Looking relieved from the weight of guilt, Daphnia said, "I don't want to pry, but I'd like to know if you're really at the apprentice level or was the spatial focus that your guardian gave the reason you could influence mana?” Before I could reply, palming her forehead, Madison said “I forgot about the flower we got from the apothecary, I held onto it for you, but I didn't realize you had a spatial focus. Her necklace glowed as the Manium sanaritous appeared in her hand. Coming forward, gesturing at me, she said, "Here take it.”
Holding the plant in my hands, awkwardly looking at Daphnia and Madison. I said, "Well this is a good as time as any I guess, I just don't know where to start, let me think. Okay, I've got it, I'm still a little foggy on the details, but when I put on the Spatial focus, I remembered some things, like I had been training to be a Magus and that I was at the acolyte level.”
Fidgeting with the plant, I said, "But something was different after I woke up, I could see mana. I'd heard stories about talents letting people do some fantastic things without casting spells or a focus. I thought I had got the talent mana sight from the o.m.s, but when I got hit, I started to panic. Being disoriented, I felt the mana around me clearly, wanting me attacker to stay away from me I felt the mana respond.”
With a thoughtful look on her face, Daphnia said, "Hmm, that explains why when I checked you over after you woke up I didn't see any runes. I was never really interested in talents, but I know a man who should be able to find out what talent you have. If that is something, you're interested in looking into?” Her eyebrows scrunching together, Madison said: "I'm so jealous you have a talent like Alfred's vocal resonance!”

Shooting her daughter, a hard stare Daphnia said, "Madison! telling someone else's secrets is wrong even if it's by mistake, your going to have to apologize to Alfred.” Turning to look at me, she said: "Could you please, promise me you won't go sharing that information around.” Looking startled and slightly abashed, Madison said: "Oops it just slipped out, and I wasn't thinking, I got too excited, I'm sorry.” Shaking my head reassuringly, I said: "Of course, I promise I won't share Alfred's secret with anybody.”
“Good, good, okay you two let's head to Mancin’s study, and then we can get a bite to eat," Daphnia said, heading towards the door. With a hop in her step, Madison followed behind and still holding the Manium sanaritous in my hands, I followed behind them. Once again traveling through the twists and turns of Free city. I noticed this section was enclosed in stone with high arched ceilings, lit only by enchanted lights.

New Escape
In a world not that unlike the present exists a fantastic technology to transfer one's consciousness into a game. A new frontier for video games has been opened, and my first experience in this world is an rpg. An escape from monotony and school has led me to experience a brand new world.(I originally lost my motivation for this story and kinda wanted to kill it, but I brought it into this world so I will fix it. I'll probably re-write the first chapters and include a more compelling story. Didn't really write the story for people to read in the first place and after I put it on here I stopped caring, but I am changed!(not too much but just a little))
