《Nirvana》Sparring with Lily

"All right now that tour is over, I want to have a spar with you," Lily said.

"Spar? Where do we fight?" Emile asked.

"Have you opened your Nirvanic System? Go to your friend's list through the Nirvanic System. You'll notice I'm already your friend. Anyone who you make with friends within the game world might be a Nirvanic or might not. If they're a Nirvanic, then you can find them in the Nirvanic System's Friends List." She said.

"Oh... is that how you figured out I was a Nirvanic player. Why did you ask me if you already knew?" Emile put the pieces together and counteracted.

"To test how much you trust me," she said.

"Uh... well it looks like I trust you a lot," Emile said while scratching his head.

"Yeah. All right, if you click on my name from the Friends List you'll notice a few options. One of those options is to have a friendly fight. You lose nothing if you take part in these fights. You can customize a lot of things about the fight." She said.

[Flower Queen challenged you to a friendly spar]

[Do you accept?]

Emile got a notification after he found the sparring option.

He accepted.

They teleported them to an arena. It was arena made of marble. Everything outside of the arena didn't exist. It was void.

If they fell off, they would lose.

"Are you done admiring? If you are, let's get started." Flower Queen yelled out from the distance. She was across the arena.

Emile ran forward.

Lily stood in place and cast a spell.

A wall of mud rose from the ground blocking Emile's path.

Emile wanted to move out of the way but more mud walls arose blocking him.

Every time Emile wanted to get closer to Lily she would summon mud balls and stop him

from moving anywhere.

A stalemate occurred. At some point, her mud walls blocked Lily's sight. That's what Emile assumed.

Emile wanted to cast fireball to break through the wall.

At this moment one wall moved at a rapid pace towards Emile. Emile tried to end his casting which dealt damage to him.

Emile evaded the walls coming towards him.

He couldn't advance or stand still. He was in a precarious position.

Emile didn't know what to do other than using his skills. In the arena, all skill cooldowns get reset so everyone is in perfect condition.

Emile used 7 hit slash at one of the mud walls. It broke past the wall. Emile saw Lily in the distance; she was casting more spells.

More mud walls appeared in front of him. In front of his were rows of mud walls and behind were rows of mud walls.

She covered up the hole he broke through. Emile could only move to the left or to the right.

At this moment a moving wall appeared on his left. It moved towards Emile.

Emile realized, either he moved with the wall towards the void or used skills to stop the wall.

Emile used berserk to strengthen himself.

He lashed out against the moving wall. He destroyed the wall with just his strength. Emile continued to attack the walls were in front of him.

He saw how Lily wasn't casting another spell. She had her sword out.

Emile attacked her. She blocked a few strikes. Emile's speed was fast enough to attack multiples times in a few seconds.

He landed a few hits on her before she succumbed.

Emile breathed out a sigh of relief; he had won.

She was the strongest opponent had faced. If he didn't have much higher stats than her or berserk, then he would have lost to the moving wall.

He appeared back in the Nirvanic Market.

"You're strong, I almost lost. If I didn't have berserk, then I would lose," Emile said.

"I was so close," Lily said as she stomped her feet on the ground. She took her anger out on the ground.

"If this was during a tournament, then you would win against me. Why did you stop casting spells?" Emile asked.

"Two reasons. The first was that you would break the walls as I created them. I wasn't aware of how long your Berserk lasts for; I'll assume it's for a while. The second reason is that I ran out of mana. Using that many spells required my focus and lots of manas." She said.

"Oh... so that moving wall was the last spell you could cast," Emile said.

If he knew of this information during the fight, he could have planned out a better usage of his skills.

"Next time we fight, It will be in the tournament," Lily said.

"All right, It's a promise," Emile said.

"I'll do quests now, bye," Lily said before teleporting out of the Nirvanic Market.

Emile checked out his fire skill system. He had 1010 fire skill points which he couldn't use since that would strengthen the fire bloodline. He had to maintain an equilibrium.

Emile wanted to visit another world; this time for water skill points.

Emile wanted to finish the delivery quest first before he visited another world. He teleported out of the Nirvanic Market and headed towards the south. He noticed no giant groups of players coming towards Song Village.

The coast was clear.

As Emile walked, he checked out more of the loot he got from the quest. He didn't open his lucky box.

Lucky Box

You think you have good luck? Let's find out.

Rank: Uncommon

Use it to drop items between Common and Red Silver.

His last lucky box gave him a useless medallion. He wanted a better item.

A wheel popped up, and he spun it.

He stared at the wheel.

The item stopped on another medallion.

??? Medallion

An old medal with the letter R engraved on it.

Rank??

No effects

'Twice. You've got to be kidding me. They don't even tell me what to do with these medals.' Emile thought.

It would be weird if the medallions didn't have a use. He won two of them now.

He stuffed the medallion into his inventory.

Glory Medal

They give a medal to a player who had earned over 15% contribution on a contribution ranking that has over 1000 players.

Rank: Rare

All effects are passive in inventory

Fame +500

Show this medal to people to gain benefits and support.

Cannot trade

Cannot drop

Emile received another glory medal which gave him more fame. Emile's fame stats was well above 10,000 now. He had 12,250 fame.

By the time he finished examining his loot, he saw an encampment in the distance. Smoke was flowing from the homes and there were creatures walking around.

There was a mine to the left of the encampment.

Emile walked into the camp.

"Halt, speak your name? And recite why you are here?" A guard who lazing around spoke up. He stopped Emile from walking in.

"My name is Mystical Flame. I'm here to deliver a letter to Igneus." Emile brought out a letter from his inventory.

"Show me the letter." The guard said with some interest.

Emile handed him the letter.

"Oh... from the Song Village Chief. You can enter." The guard said after returning the letter to Emile. He continued to lie in his chair.

Emile walked into the camp without being blocked by someone else.
