《Nirvana》Wizard Tower and Special Points

"Thank you for your guidance," Emile said politely.
"Have a good day," They all said before leaving the Chief's home.
"The tower is at the very center of the forest. If the tall trees didn't exist, we could probably see the tower from here," Emile said.
They walked out of the village. The villagers still celebrated their victory. The players were gaining lots of benefits from the villagers.
They continued to walk deeper into the forest until they reached the Compsognathus territory.
The Thorny Bush territory was easy to pass since the plants couldn't move. Thet would attack the player from a distance.
Passing the Compsognathus territory would be challenging since they didn't have the cloak that hid them.
The beasts were no longer berserk. They went back to hunting other animals and players.
They killed any dinosaurs that ran up to them. Flowing Dream did the tanking.
"Hey, Emile what did you put your free attribute points into," the Handsomest Crab asked.
"I forgot to put my free attribute points into anything," Emile remembered about the free attribute points.
As he was thinking about free attribute points, a system notification appeared.
[You may convert ten free attribute points into one special point]
Emile had never heard of special points.
[Special points are a unique entity of the Nirvanic System]
[Special points can buy many things in the Nirvanic System]
Emile talked in his mind since he didn't want his party to assume that he was crazy.
"How do you earn special points," Emile asked.
[There are 4 ways]
[Conversion where you convert attribute points]
[Special items can give special points]
[Quests]
[World Announcements]
"Don't I have three special points since three world announcements," Emile asked.
[Yes]
After gaining the Nirvanic System the game system was friendlier and gave valuable information.
Emile didn't choose to convert his free attribute points yet. He needed to figure out the use of special points before he made any impulsive decisions.

[Special points upgrades all stats]
"Isn't that kinda useless? Why would you convert 10 free attribute points for a special point? You could use the free attribute points to increase all the stats."
Emile said as he assumed that Special points were useless.
[It also increases luck stat]
"It still isn't worth it," Emile said after thinking about it.
Luck was intangible. They couldn't control it.
[You can convert Special points into 50 skill points]
Emile knew this was a good trade. He didn't earn a lot of fire or water skill points so this
was a good way to gain them.
[Special points are also a currency in the Nirvanic Market]
"What is the Nirvanic Market," Emile had never heard of this term before which lead to this questioning.
[Nirvanic Market is where Nirvanic's can sell items, buy nutrients for their body, buy items using coins or Special points]
[These are the main functions]
As he grew stronger, he would require more nutrients. The quality of the nutrients was also vital to his growth.
Having the Nirvana Market would help him out a lot.
[You will teleport to the Nirvana Market if you wish to shop]
He didn't need to head there yet so he chose to ignore the teleport option.
They continued to slay the dinosaurs as they moved forward.
After 1 hour of advancing slowly, they made it into the clearing.
"Wow, this really is a beautiful place," Flower Queen said as she looked around.
"The tower is like a sore thumb," She continued after seeing the tower.
"Let head in," Emile said after listening to her.
[You have discovered a new location: Wizards Tower]
[You have gained 100 fame]
Everyone that was in the party received 100 fame.
They didn't receive the second notification about clearing the location meaning that there were no mobs in the tower.
The first floor was filled with open cages. There were runes nearby.

They continued to the second floor. They saw chambers of mobs. The wizard was experimenting on different mobs.
He identified one of the Compsognathus that were in the chambers.
Compsognathus
Hp: 10/232
Atk: 0
MAtk: 129-143
They were near death and had no attack stat. All the dinosaur they met on the outside had around 80-92 damage per attack.
The dinosaurs on the outside had no magic attack stat. These ones had a magic stat.
They all looked deformed. They were tortured a lot before they got those stats.
"I think we should kill them off, to make their suffering end," Time Walker said.
They chose to end the suffering of the mobs that were in the chambers. The mobs only gave them 1 experience.
This situation continued up until the 5th floor. There were over one-hundred mobs in that condition. On the 6th floor, there was only one chamber.
The mob inside this chamber differed from the previous chambers, It was a normal-looking Compsognathus.
When they got close to the monster, it opened its eyes.
The monster broke out of the chamber and attacked Flowing Dream.
-220
It dealt an enormous amount of damage.
Emile identified the stats.
Perfect Compsognathus
Mutant Monster
Level 10
Hp: 586/586
Atk: 205-380
Agility: 45
Weakness: A perfect creature has no weakness.
This was the first time they had seen a mutant monster. A mutant monster had higher stats than the normal monster.
This was the first time any monster had no weakness. This might have caused a problem if the opponent was stronger. In Emile's eye, the mutant was weak.
He could kill the mutant anytime he wanted. He felt that fighting against the mutant wouldn't give him anything of value so he allowed his party to try out a stronger enemy.
Emile wouldn't attack the mutant, he would tank the hits.
His party attacked the mutant. The mutant seemed to have a bit of intelligence which caused it to run towards the Handsomest Crab. He had the least health.
The Handsomest Crab used his sword to block the attack and Flower Queen shot a ball of mud at the mutant.
It slowed down the mutant and dealt damage. Time Walker activated his fireball which did a lot of damage to the mutant and burned it.
Other than the enormous amount of damage it dealt out, everything else was weak.
After a few more hits, the mutant fell down.
Mobs could mutate to become stronger versions of themselves. That was the first mutant mob that Emile met.
The only other thing on the sixth floor was a desk with lots of paper strewn about. They searched through the desk and found one item.
Control Wizard's Notes (Quest Item)
The notes of a crazy wizard
Emile was the one who kept the notes because he was the one who killed the Great Chief. They allowed him to have it since the game didn't tell them what quest it was a part of.
Emile kept it in his inventory. He asked them to look around the tower to see if they missed anything.
After 10 minutes of searching Flowing Dream messaged them saying he found something.
"Come to the staircase leading to the fourth floor." Flowing Dream said as he stood on the stairs.
Everyone arrived at the staircase.
Flowing Dream said nothing and pulled out a brick from the wall of the staircase.
They could hear something opening.
Emile's party walked up to the third floor which had broken chambers. They broke the chambers when they were killing the mobs in the tower.
On the third floor, there was now an opening on one wall.
Emile walked in and saw piles of coins and other goodies.

Sword System Academia
2/17 NOTICE: I'm putting this on hiatus, possibly permanently. I didn't want to spam with an "update chapter", so hopefully here and in the story blurb will get enough eyeballs. There are a couple reasons for ending SSA for now. 1) I wrote the next chapter but wasn't happy with it. I've been less and less satisfied with SSA's quality the more I thought about it. Part of the reason is... 2) I am seriously thinking about trying to publish some novels to help pay the bills, since I don't have my other source of income anymore. I have never asked for anything from SSA readers, no money, not even a review or rating. SSA is written for fun to amuse myself, primarily, and I would kind of feel bad actually charging someone money for something as unserious as that. I don't think it is good enough to ask anything in return. To use an analogy from music, SSA is more like a jam session with a bunch of friends. You're just chiling and having fun playing some music. I mean, if you are Mozart or even Eminem, your jam session is good enough to sell, but for an amateur beginner like myself, haha, no. If I want to publish something, I feel like I need to go the proper route of practice and rehearsals, which might be more similar to a classical concert performance. With SSA, I work from worldbuilding notes and a loose outline, but what you are essentially getting is the first draft with lots of so-called pantsing. Pushing out a web novel like this also means it is very difficult to go back and improve things without breaking everything else downstream. I wanted to try this "jamming" approach, as it was a good way to teach me about another aspect of writing, but to move forward, I think I need to hone my "classical" techniques, which emphasize rewriting, or at least, revising outlines. 3) While I intend to try to make $$$, my actual current goal is to "get gud". I've spent a lot of time recently trying to understand the self-publishing industry, and I'm pretty sure I can make some money by using short-term strategies with my current amateur skill level. But I've seen too many authors come and go/burnout, and really, the only way that I think I can enjoy writing and still make money on a long-term basis is to become a better writer. And the next step for me, which I haven't done much before, is to spend more time on rewriting and outlines. That is pretty much antithetical to the way SSA is developing. I've always been kind of 20/80 plotting/pantsing, but I want to spend a lot more time outlining before I even start writing. SSA jam sessions don't really fit my goal anymore. If you're curious about what's next, read on... Among other regrets, I regret not finishing SSA. It's the first story I've dropped, but then again, it's the first web novel I've attempted, so I suppose that's not a surprise. I don't think traditional web novel formats suit me that well. The whole SSA story I had loosely planned (beyond a first book or major arc) is way too large as well. Big story = good for neverending webnovel with Patreons, bad for penniless and fickle writer like me. I am currently outlining a complete trilogy to another story in great detail. I want the story to end concisely, and I also want the chance to really spend a lot of time on the full outline to spot pacing problems, character issues, lost themes, and so on. I'll still share this story on RR. What I intend to do is finish book 1, flash-publish the whole thing here for a few weeks, then publish on the big Zon. Repeat for books 2 and 3. The upcoming story will be about crafting heroes. The backdrop is an isekai-like setting, where elves will summon humans to their world as heroes, but the whole hero crafting business is still in its infancy. The elven mage researchers are figuring out how to imbue heroes with power, while the heroes are trying to figure out how to use the powers that they gain. Humans are the best hero templates because they are blank and have no intrinsic magic. Or at least that what the elves thought. The human MC has his own secrets... There will be some similarities with litrpgs, but I would call it more a progression fantasy or gamelit story. For example, the stats are very low, at least initially. Say we have a stat called Str. Going from Str = 1 to Str = 2 is a huge deal. Also, going from Dex = 0 to Dex = 1 is an even bigger deal. I guess you could call it a "low-stat litrpg", haha. Also, the heroes won't be gaining stats simply by killing things or leveling up. You can't increase stats arbitrarily, either. There will be rules to how stats can increase, and how they work with each other. The elven mages will be figuring out these rules in order to craft stronger and stronger heroes. Some inspiration will be from cultivation magic systems, but there won't be overt cultivation, at least for now. A theme I really want to explore is the idea of interactions. That includes things like hero crafter vs hero, tactics vs strategy, skill synergies, racial interactions (dwarves, elves, etc), and son. Yeah, so hero crafting. I'm super excited about this project and venturing into publishing. If you want to check out the upcoming story, you can follow my RR author profile to see when it drops here. Finally... THANK YOU TO EVERYONE! I'm very sorry that SSA is stopping, but I hope at least some of you will find the next story at least as enjoyable, if not more. Thanks to all the readers who gave SSA a shot. Big hug or solid fistbump to all of you, whichever you prefer! I hope this message is not a downer but an upper, because I am psyched!! -purlcray -------------- BLURB: Talen, youngest Master of the Koroi, makes his way to the Empire's capital to salvage his clan's fate. But the bustling city has few opportunities for the traditionalist. For the old sword clans are fading. With the rise of alchemy, gold can purchase strength that ordinarily took years of training to cultivate. Sword artists, once rare and accomplished, are quickly growing in number, especially among the wealthy noble class. Even with such alchemy, though, no one has advanced to the rank of Grandmaster in countless years. Talen's true dream is to walk the path of a sword artist to the very end while fulfilling his clan duties. And then the Swordgeists return, fabled founders of all sword arts, gods who had touched the world long ago and vanished. These myths turned into reality warn of a coming threat. Alongside this warning, they issue an invitation to the Sword System Academy, a path to power beyond the mortal realm. But first, they will hold an entrance exam... Story notes:Sword System Academia blends elements of western and asian fantasy such as xianxia and litrpg. I took parts from different genres I enjoyed and twisted them into my own creation. There will be an explicit system, both of the litrpg kind and the hard(ish) magic kind, but it is embedded within an academic structure that will develop over the course of the story. This is my attempt to design a unique type of system, the System Academia.
