Chapter 10: Hard fight

[Zion]: Hey are you sure about the basilisk?

[Lupa]: just how many times are you gonna ask me that! " I DON'T KNOW! " ok

[Zion]: tssk. It's been 2 weeks since we heard that so called basilisk of yours, we encounter, a [horn bat], a mole that spits a lethal poison, ( [Lupa]: you mean [Krupa]? ) yeah that Krupps or something, then there's that worm whose whole body filled with acid and will try to constrict you, and a lot more. But no sign of your basilisk!

[Lupa]: "sigh" are you really looking forward to meeting that basilisk? I remember you are more freakout than i am!

[Zion]: no no no... You're missing my point, i don't want to meet it, why would i want to meet it? If we meet it were dead!

[Lupa]: then why do you keep on asking about it huh?

[Zion]: "sigh" i i don't know either, i'm sure i don't wanna meet it, but i just can't get it out my head for some reason! Forget it let's just keep moving, it's been 3 days since our last encounter with a monster...

So we continue our travel, and it's amazing how much i adapted to my new reality, back then i wouldn't even think i'll be doing something like this, i've check my body and there's 5 different color energy ring swirling in my chest...

(Lightning energy) = yellow lvl1

(fire energy) = red lvl1

(wind energy) = green lvl2

(Water energy) = blue lvl4

(Poison energy) = purple lvl1

This energy not only give me ability to control and create the element it also boost my resistance to that particular element, and it also enhance my physical body, if you're wondering about the level i've found out that after consuming a certain amount of monster core of that particular energy, the energy creates a layer i call it level, coz its easy to remember, so after killing countless of those frog that shoot high pressure water, and consuming their core, the water energy ring i have has 4layer, and because of that water was never our problem anymore as long as i don't accidently mix it with poison we'll be fine...

I deeply regret that i didn't learn any martial arts before, if i did my fighting potential will be greatly increased..

[Lupa]: what are you thinking about? Are you still thinking about that basilisk?

[Zion]: no, i'm just checking my energy body..

[Lupa]: oh, that yeah you have a weird body i've been trying to find any information about that but my race has no knowledge about the things your body can do... It's probably because of [Skav] "Gaia's heart" that you found...

[Zion]: yeah i kinda know it, it......

[Zion]: what the hell is that? Let's slow down and check it..

[Lupa]: yeah you should get ready to battle as well...

Slowly we crawl to where the noise is coming from...

[Zion]: hmmm thats one big snake...

The one in front of us is a giant snake dark green in color with black stripe marking, its length is about 50 to 80 or so meter in length it's about a meter wide and its head 7 sharp crown like horn and sparks can be seen on it, its marking is also faintly glowing as well,

[Zion]: is that the basilisk Lupa? It's kinda different than the one you previously described.

[Lupa]: no that's not a basilisk, but it's dangerous nonetheless it's a peak rank 3 monster close to rank 4...

[Zion]: how did you know it's only rank 3, it looks very strong to be just a rank 3 monster..

[Lupa]: see its crown it has 7 horn, this [Stross] gains 2 horn for every rank, when it gained its 8th horn it'll be rank 4 then..

[Zion]: [Stross] huh, im about to call it giant electric snake, but i guess [Stross] is better hehehe...

[Lupa]: what a bad naming sense you have, but with your ability you can kill this thing, it won't be easy but you can do it.. Your body is comparable to rank 5 monster now...

[Zion]: hahaha is that so, hahahaha... Anything i should know about this [Stross]? Any weakness I can exploit?

[Lupa]: (fuck! I forgot i can't praise this guy,) "sigh" well just hit it hard, it has weak defense despite its huge body, just be careful of its electric attack, but with your resistance it won't be a problem, as long as you didn't get hit multiple time in a row..

[Zion]: right! (I take a deep breath) ok here we go..

So i took my short sword that was enhanced by [Lupa], using the dagger [Lupa] made it into a short sword using bending by combining several materials we found in the cave along with some monster parts... Holding my sword i dash straight into sleeping [Stross] neck, it notice me but it was too late i was already on its neck "slash" blood splash into my face and body, tssk. " i clicked my tongue" it's harder than i thought, it'll probably take 2-3 more strike to its neck to completely severed it...

The [Stross] shreak... It's obviously angry, well i'll be angry too if someone tried to cut my neck while i'm sleeping, electricity begun to discharge from its crown and the pattern on its body glows brighter, its giant eyes peering at me, suddenly it lounge at me "fast i exclaimed" it caught me off guard so i used the sword to block it, BANG!, i was thrown 15 meters into the wall, i felt it, my bone cracking from the impact, "FUCK! I shouted" i was too overconfident, my eyes narrow, i quickly jumps into the right to dodge its followup attack, at the same time it hits its head hard into the cave wall, CRASH! It felt like the whole cave vibrate, luckily the cave wall is very strong it wasn't damaged much, even with that heavy impact, the [Stross] is daze from the impact, i quickly took advantage and lounge a strike on its neck "slash" another splash of blood hit me, bathing me with its blood, i was about to strike again, when i notice it's tain coming fast at me luckily i was careful this time, so i was able to evade it by lying on the floor..

The [Stross] is staring at me with angry eyes hisssssskskkkggggh! It shriek sounds like metal scraping, it was so loud it makes my mind hazy for a moment, and in that moment it attack with its head slamming with its crown 7 sharp horn, before i can react, its horns is already in front of me "FUCK!" I shouted, my body move instinctively to the right avoiding most of the horns but not completely 2 of its horn pierce me 1 on my right thigh another on right shoulder, good thing the head of [Stross] is very big and its horn is far apart, unfortunately it wasn't just the horn there's electricity as well "aaaaaaaaaarrrggghhh!" I scream!

[Lupa]: Ziooon! Are you ok? "shouted Lupa"

[Zion]: FUUUCK! That hurts!

The moment i was stab by its horn a powerful electricity soon follows, thankfully i have some electric resistance if not, i'll be instantly killed, and although i have resistance it's not strong enough to completely overcome a rank 3 electric monster like [Stross] but enough to keep me alive, so i gritted my teeth, and stab my sword on the right eye of [Stross] it shriek and shake its head to throw me off, i was thrown into the wall hard, i vomited blood, and my right shoulder and right thigh has big holes on it and blood continues to flow, the [Skal] "gaia's heart" already starts to heal my wounds slowly but continuously, a few moments later my bleeding is already greatly reduced, and without wasting time i fired a high velocity compressed water on [Stross] head, it quickly evade but because of its huge body it was still hit on its lower neck, the high pressure water bore a fist size hole on its lower neck, at the same time slamming it to right side of the cave wall, the moments it rebounded and hits the floor i was already on my way holding my short sword covering it with wind elements to increase its cutting power, the moment its head hit the floor i was already on the air holding my short sword on both of my hands above my head and "aaaaaaaahhh i shouted" as i slash my sword on its wounded neck, intending to completely sever it, but because of its size, i still can't completely sever it, so i slash again and again thankfully the [Stross] is still daze, and on my 3rd slash i was able to completely severed its head, i quickly jumps back quickly distancing myself from [Stross] wriggling body, and after awhile it finally stop moving, "sigh" releasing all my tension, my body involuntary fall down in sitting position...

[Zion]: hahahaha i won! Hahaha

[Lupa]: hey [Zion] are you alright? Quickly use [Skal] to heal your wound!

[Zion]: right!

So i quickly sit cross leg closed my eyes and willed the [Skal], instantly a black rock flew out of my chest and hovers a feet in front of my face, and the [Skal] started glowing, the glows quickly covers my whole body and started to heal all my wounds, in less than a minute all my wounds are completely healed, i opened my eyes and taking a deep breath i slowly stand up, by then [Skal] has already returned into my body..

[Lupa]: "sigh" darn you scared me to death! I thought you're dead, the moment that horn hits you...

[Zion]: yeah! That was close, that [Stross] shriek followed by its head slam, is a lethal combo...

If not for my electric resistance i'll be dead now!

[Lupa]: yeah, even i lose focus for a moment the instant i heard its shriek, the next thing i know you're already on its head and screaming!

[Zion]: fuck! You don't have to remind me! Just remembering it give me goosebumps! So how was it? Anything you can use from that corpse?

[Lupa]: yeah! the horns! With that i can make your request for a long sword a reality...

Lupa started to work immediately for some reason he's quite good at dismantling the [Stross] horn not just the horn, back then after every battle he's the one who dismantle the corpse and take whatever we need...

[Zion]: lupa, you're quite good in dismantling a monster corpse, how'd you do it?

[Lupa]: oh! with this!

He showed me his hand and its glowing, there's an aura surrounding it..

[Lupa]: this is a skill called [Aura hand] with this dismantling is very easy...

Oh! My eyes shines like a boy in a toy store..

[Zion]: looks powerful it must be effective in battle, i wonder if i can learn it?

[Lupa]: hmmm.. You can learn it it's quite easy to do actually, but i don't think it's very effective during battle... First it consume a fairly large amount of energy, second it's not that strong, it's effective against a corpse because it doesn't have a aura anymore, compare to when it's still alive, but if you want to learn it i can teach you how...

[Zion]: Yeah! I want to learn it... It might not be effective right now but who knows in the future? Imagine if i can use that aura to protect my whole body, hehehe... I can already picture it! Like maxed lvl player in online game, how cool is that! Hahaha....

[Lupa]: ........................? (What the heck is talking about)..... Yeah whatever....

[Zion]: what? Why are you looking at me like that?

[Lupa]: nothing.....

After an hour or so [Lupa] is finally done with dismantling, it took him awhile since he also collected some of [Stross] skin... After that i let [Skal] absorbed the remaining corpse until only the core remains, i took the core and put it in my bag...

[Lupa]: done? Let's find some place to rest, i'm quite tired, and you also use a large amount of energy...

[Zion]: yeah, let's do that i want to absorb this core asap, and i want to take a bath as well i'm covered in blood, and its stinks....
