《Abnormal》Chapter 35 surprise

"Sean, wake up!" I yelled by the door, but of course, no use.
I walked over and shaked his shoulders, " Wake up."
I sighed, and looked at his blanket, I flipped it over and checked his wounds, the bone is still not healed....
I took a new rool of bandages and unwrapped the old one.
Why can't he fight for himself? He has a quirk, I did, so why can't he?
I cracked my knuckles, and noticed Sean flinching.
"Sean? " I reached out for his forehead, "Are y----"
"GET AWAY FROM ME ! " He punched my stomach as he yelled, knocked air out of my lungs.
It took me by surprise, my guards were down and I was sent backwards.
I coughed, and inhaled.
Yep, he definitely can punch, I flipped my shirt upwards, finding a purple and green patch, Ow...
Sean tossed and turned on the bed, he sat up all of a sudden with one of his hands on his head.
He clapped both of his hands on his face and slammed his head on his knee.
"Sean... You're awake." I said, his head lifted and he saw me in shock.
"What the..." He muttered.
He reached out for me and touched my bottom lip with his thumb, blood.
I rubbed my mouth with the back of my hand, blood.
Wow, he really did punch me hard.
"Who did this." Sean asked, rubbing the blood off with a tissue.
"You." I answered, walked towards the bathroom and washed my hands.
He waited till I came back, "We fought?" He asked.
I shaked my head, " I cracked my knuckles, you flinched, I wanted to check if you're ok, then all of a sudden you punched me, saying 'Get away from me.' " I said.

"Where did I punch you?" He asked.
I lifted up the bottom of my short, showing the bruise.
"S..sorry..." He said, looking at the blanket.
"It's fine, no big deal, it'll heal by tomorrow." I said.
"That's fast...." I heard him mutter.
Sh*t, I shouldn't have said that.
I took out my phone and dialed the school's number.
"Hello?"
I answered, " Hello, this is Millie, Sean white is injured, will you mark him as absence f-----"
"Yeah yeah, ok." The voice groaned.
Then the phone hanged up.
Hm.. Looks like the teacher doesn't like cripples either.
Sean looked at the bandages oh his legs, " Oh thanks."
"Yeah, you're finally not yelling like a baby about wanting your shirt back." I said.
"Wait wha----" he gasped and shut his mouth.
He immediately jumped back on the bed with his blanket covering his everything except his head.
"Pervert." he said, his face bright red, or should I say vermillion....
"Ha ha ha, very funny, there's nothing on your upperbody for me to see, stupid....." I said, " Or do you you wanna see me shirtless...." I gave him a smile.
His eyes widened and he covered his entire body with the blanket, "%#@*/+%#=(…€`£}§¤€=#(§·¿¡?!"
Yep, I ruined his innocent brain.
"Breakfast is outside." I said.
I walked towards the closet and pulled out a set of clothes.
"Wear these." I threw the clothes on the bed and left the guest room.
***********
"Finished?" I asked, looking at Sean's plate, he nodded.
I took both of out plates and placed them in the sink.
Sean was looking at my every moves, I walked towards the cupboard on top of the fridge, he gasped and pushed his chair backwards, making a unpleasant squeaky sound.

I took a spoon and a small red container, about the height of my thumb.
Sean stood up from his chair as I poured the red liquid in the small tea spoon.
"Are you gonna drink it or what?" I said looking at the direction Sean is going.
He shaked his head, "Nope nope nope nope."
I sighed, " Come back Sean, it's no use running."
I shaked my head and walked towards the direction Sean hopped to.
"Sean, be a good boy and come back here."
No response.
I poured a teaspoon of the red liquid, Sean was about to close the guest room door when I stuck my hands between the gap and stopped the door from closing in.
I pushed the door open finding Sean in the corner with a blanket over him.
"Sean, you know this is not necessary, it's just a teaspoon of the liquid, you can drink water after this." I said, with the spoon in my hand.
"No, you don't know how bad that thing tastes." Sean said under the blanket.
Yeah, duh I know, I've been drinking this for the pass few years, it helps.
"Just drink it, before I shove it down your throat." I said, my voice full of promise and pledge.
Sean poked his head out of the blanket, "Can't we have something else, something not like.... That?"
I shaked my head, " Drink it, it helps your bones."
He groaned and glared at the liquid.
"Drink it." My patient has a limit,
He bit onto the spoon and took it in.
"Good boy." I smiled, but then I froze, no, I'm not suppose to say that.
Good girl, he would say...
"PLEH! PLEH! PLEH! PLEH! PPFFFFFFFTTT!!!! " Sean choked, his tongue stuck out, I ran out and took a cup of water.
He immediately finished it, " I need more w..water." He wheezed.
I pointed at the bathroom, "Tap water."
Sean glared at me, I smiled, " I'm just kidding." I filled 3 cups of water for him and placed them in front of the boy.
In less then a minute, he finished all of them.
"Next time just wash your tongue." I said.
"Oh yeah..." He answered, just realised how stupid he is.
**************
" My family is going to visit me tomorrow." Sean said, staring at his phone screen.
"That's good right?" I asked, enjoying my mango boba.
"That's....... fine, I'm happy to see my brother, but..." he hesitated and lowered his phone, which automatically turned off after some time.
"Something happened before?" I asked, shaking my drink with my wrist.
"Yeah... "Sean said, not taking his eyes off his phone.
Let me conclude.... Took down half of his class, got scolded, grounded or even canned, lives alone after with 'unlimited' money.
I just nodded, "So...I'll give you sometime tomorrow?"
"I already told my dad about you, he keeps mistaking you as my girlfriend." he laughed, "My mom wanted to meet you in person..."
I chuckled, " why? That's odd...isn't this suppose to be a .... Family reunion stuff?"
"She didn't tell me why, but I just wanna tell you, don't take her seriously, alright?" Sean said, he finally looked at me.
"So I can come with you then?" I asked, pretty excited.
Sean checked his phone, "Yeah..."

The Oddity: The One Who Does Not Belong
A purple ball descended from the sky, a gift from the primordial dragons, granting many races of the world access to magic. Unfortunately, humans were not one of those. During the great war, the magicless humans were nothing more than fodder, meat shields. Until one day, their powers awakened. After the war, with the ability to now wield, fire, water, earth, wind, or lightning, powerful magicians gathered to build a safe haven for humans, the Kaldora Empire. Before the humans had magic, other races prospered with it. But, within their midst, there were... oddities. People with an affinity for two elements. Each one leaving some sort of disaster in their wake. Each one, not quite fit for this world. A young boy's family, killed in an accident, only he and his sister survived the night. After that, they were split up, each taken in by a different relative. It has been eight years since the flames engulfed his home and most of his family. With his magic powers finally showing itself, he goes off to a magic academy to better learn about his newfound powers. But as he grows, something else does as well. The voice inside his head, the thing that influences his thoughts, the monster that he wish was gone, the devil inside his heart. This is a tale about connections. NOTE: The story will be slow for many of the chapters and the time will also match it, ex: goes by day by day. The time mostly will be used for introducing and adding to characters. It won't pick up until somewhere in the twenties but there will be action and events earlier on such as the missions. Just a fair warning. Order of Phantasmal Architects

Hazelsong: A LitRPG Novel
Release Schedule: I will be moving to a set release schedule as of 1/1/2022. A new chapter will be released every Saturday at Noon EST. If I have time that week for a second chapter, I will leave a note on the Saturday chapter and post the second chapter on Sunday at Noon EST. An up to date character sheet for the MC Erik will also be posted on Sundays at 12:15 PM. If life happens and I am for some reason unable to write that week, I will post a blank chapter giving you an update on where I am with my writing. Saturday Noon EST: First weekly chapter Sunday Noon EST: Second weekly chapter (if I have the time) Sunday 12:15 EST: Updated character sheet Synopsis: Years after surviving a deadly accident, Erik struggles to come to terms with his painful disability. When offered the chance to playtest the world's first full immersion VRMMO, he wants nothing more than to retreat back into his secluded life, until he learns what Hazelsong really offers. An escape from the pain. Hazelsong is a world of magic and adventure, a place where friendships are formed, loot is won, and glory and fame are there for the taking. While the threats feel real and the stakes are always high, there is only one thing Erik is really in danger of. Forgetting which world is actually real. Story Themes: Hazelsong is a LitRPG novel that not only explores the fictional world of a realistic online fantasy realm but the life of a man suffering in silence from chronic pain and PTSD due to a significant physical injury and disability. Mental health is an important subject and we all know at least one person in our lives who has or is dealing with some form of mental illness. I plan on putting my best effort forward to represent these illnesses in a fair and accurate manner. Not as a cheap plot device to help make the protagonist more unique, but to help paint an accurate picture for those of us who have been lucky enough to not have to suffer in silence. About the Author: I am Ash Durra, general video game nerd and a connoisseur of fantasy and sci-fi of all shapes and sizes. Needless to say, I am not a professional author (B.S. and M.S. in Education, 8 years teaching). After really getting into LitRPG novels over the past several years, I found my way to Royal Road, which has inspired me to use my spare time to begin writing a story of my own creation. As this is a hobby, I am not writing and posting chapters on any kind of specific schedule at the moment, though my goal is to post on average 1-2 chapters a week. I am incredibly excited to share this story with others as I write it, and I look forward to any constructive feedback about how I can improve in my writing.
