《Raising a Mutant: A Young Superman (and friends) Hurt/Comfort Adoption Fic》Chapter 30: Martha

Martha didn't expect raising Lex to be easy, and it wasn't. The years surfaced traumas and scars she couldn't have imagined even when she first saw that battered boy at the police station. But the boy he strove to be, and the man he grew into, lit up her heart with pride and joy every day.
Lex went through phases of rebellion in his teen years, but he remained fiercely protective of Clark even on the days when he showed the least respect to Martha and Jonathan. He struggled his way through middle and high school, facing conflicts with teachers and bullies, but ultimately graduating top of his class and earning a scholarship to Metropolis University.
Clark was in sixth grade when Lex went off to college. Clark's rebellious phases began when his brother was gone, but Lex called to both scold and encourage him when things got bad, and over time, Clark matured as well.
Lex inherited nothing from Lionel—LuthorCorp had long been dissolved—but he started his own nonprofit, and worked to change their community for the better. The best part was that he based his company out of Smallville and made family dinners on Sundays a priority.
And one Sunday, he brought a pretty girl to family dinner. Eighteen months later, Clark's best man speech made Martha cry.
And today? Today was a day she'd been waiting for. For years, she hadn't even known she should be looking forward to this moment, but now she'd been counting the days. Approximately nine months' worth.
Lex wore deep bags under his eyes. Martha didn't blame him—she knew it had probably been awhile since he had slept. But when he placed the little pink bundle in her arms, and those bright blue-green eyes fluttered open and stared up at her, she knew why he also looked happier than he ever had.

"I'll have to call you something else now," he said. "Seeing as she's named Martha."
"You've always been allowed to call me Mom." Martha had never pressured him about that. After all these years, being called by her first name felt natural.
"I know," he said. "But for her sake, I think I'm going to be using the name Grandma a lot more often."
She shot him a look.
"Fine. Mom it is. And I'll call Jonathan Dad. It's only fair."
Martha nodded, absentminded. She knew what he was saying was important, maybe the most important thing he had said in a long time. But right now, she was having a hard time focusing on anything but her granddaughter's tiny, soft fingers, which had wrapped around her thumb.
"Go get some rest," she told her son. "I'll take care of her."
"Yes, Mom." Lex leaned down and kissed each Martha on the forehead, then he headed for the stairs.

A Slip Of The Force
During the New Sith Wars, The Black Sun, worried about their business goes about investing large resources into a project they dubbed Harbinger; to act as the safe guard against the Jedi, Sith and other syndicates that would be intent on removing them from power, if the opportunity shows itself. As such they created a one of kind killing machine, made up of some of the most dangerous races in the known galaxy. But due to unknown sabotage their plans are ruined and their organisation set back centuries in the many plans. Follow this entity on it's journey through the galaxy, as it stumbles upon one mess after another and tries to find its purpose in this vast galaxy. This is my own little star wars fantasy and wish fulfilment so don't come expecting overly complex plots and fully fleshed out galaxy. Hopefully I will be able to make this fun. Also I won't be decribing the species often, so you're going to have to look them up yourself. There are just too many to constantly be describing them beyond their garb.

Ever since they were kids, Odion sensed something otherworldly about his twin brother, Apollo. The night their foster parents were murdered confirmed what Odion had felt all along. Seven years have passed since that fateful night, and those paranormal events still haunt Odion. Something far beyond human comprehension lurks within Apollo, and keeping it a secret is of Odion’s utmost importance. However, his deepest fears rise to the surface when a list of grisly murders takes place the night of their high school dance, making Apollo a prime suspect. Knowing the police will be no match for him, Odion embarks on a mission to take his brother down—even if that means he dies trying. Apollo knows he’s innocent of the crimes that took place the night of the dance. But with virtually no way of clearing his name and nearly every task force unit in the province of Ontario searching for him, Apollo is forced to make a decision. Sacrifice his freedom for a heap of crimes he didn’t commit or defend his rights by unleashing the monster he had buried within, even if that means many innocent lives will be forfeited. A Fate Set in Stone (On Hold)
After dying and making his way into the afterlife, our protagonist happens to have a stroke of good luck. With the help of the substitute god of death, he's given a second shot at life in a world run by gods who probably played too many video games as kids. Monsters, magic, dungeons, bandits, and all that good stuff is there, except it turns out to be much different than Jed initially expected.(I picked some generic tags since this is my first story and I am not 100% sure where it is going to go. Mature warning is only there for some less-than-polite language.)
