Clark didn't fight with Lex for the rest of the trip. He didn't want to lose his quarters or get in trouble again. He hated being in trouble.
But it was okay that they fought. Pete said he fought with his brothers all the time.
If they were really brothers . . . Clark could tell Lex about his powers, right? Mom and Dad could know because they were his family, too, so they would never let the bad scientists find out. Lex wouldn't, either. He was Clark's brother! Dad said so, in the car.
Mom and Dad went to set up the tent while Clark and Lex sat by the campfire. It wasn't dark yet, but it was cold.
"Hey Lex, look what I can do!"
"I'm watching," Lex said.
Clark jumped up from the log and put his hand into the fire. Lex's leapt forward and yanked Clark back.
"Clark! Are you okay?" Lex took Clark's hand and looked it over.
"I'm fine! I have powers. Like Warrior Angel!"
Lex's face went very white. He didn't look like he was breathing.
Clark frowned. He thought it was cool. "You love Warrior Angel."
"I . . . I . . ."
"I'm really fast too!" Clark sped away into the trees as fast as he could, then he came back. "And really strong!" He picked up the log across from Lex. "See?"
Clark stepped toward Lex, but Lex leaned back and fell from the log he was sitting on.
Clark raced to look over Lex. "What's wrong?"
"Y-you're . . . what are you?"
"I'm your little brother! That's why I get to tell you my secrets."
Lex didn't get up from the ground. He just kept staring at Clark.
Maybe he didn't understand. "Dad says if I tell someone who's not in my family my secret, the bad scientiss will find out and do spearmints on me."

"Experiments?"
Clark nodded. "But you won't tell anyone, right?"
"I—I won't . . ."
"Good!" Clark picked up Lex and put him back on the log. "You're really light."
Lex still looked really scared.
"What's wrong?" Clark thought Lex would be excited. Clark was like Warrior Angel! Now they could play that game for real.
Dad came back over to the campfire. "Tent's up. You boys hungry?"
"Yeah!" Clark said, but Lex was still frozen.
Dad frowned. "Everything okay, Lex?"
"I . . . do you know? What Clark can do?"
Dad's eyes became angry. "Clark! What did you do?"
"I told him my powers."
"Clark!"
"He's my brother! I heard you say!"
"Go over to the tent with your mother. We need to talk."
"Am I in trouble?"
"What do you think?"
That meant yes! "Daaad! Nooo!"
"Go."
"Sir," Lex said, "it's okay."
"That's not for you to decide," Dad said to Lex. He gave Clark a hard pat on the back. "Go."

Bleen Fada - The Legendary Pathfinder
It had been decades since dreams started to kill. Today, it's finally over.Mahon was once a general and an impressive warrior. In his dreams. In Nightmare. There, he put an end to the war that plagued mankind for decades. In the real world, however, the war has been raging for millenia, and Mahon is weak, his body frail from all his years spent dream-fighting. But it's time for a new beginning. In a world he knows almost nothing about, he will struggle to climb back to power, a necessity if he wants to achieve his goal. But he doesn’t lack willpower. And he already reached the highest ranks before. Who is to say he can’t do it again? That is, if the Fada let it be… This story takes place in a medieval fantasy world. Swords and schemes are the common ways to assert your place among the powerful. This story follows Mahon on his journey back to power. Not a simple one, as he will uncover some of the deepest mysteries that had been buried deep down along the ages. As of now, 98% of my chapters are through Mahon’s PoV and I want to keep it that way. There will be no unending PoV swaps for multiple chapters. Although war/conflict is one of the main themes, it’s not really a story about war. Instead, expect fights, plots, foreshadowing, progression and adventure from these chapters. It’s my first time publishing a book, and English is not my native language. I hope you will enjoy the story and that you’ll be indulgent enough to point out my mistakes with kindness. I wish to grow as a better writer and provide something that will make you cheer for, and shiver in anticipation. As long as you’re not, it means there is something to improve. Note: It's a slow progression fantasy, and some have raised complaints about the depressing tones and slowness in some of the first chapters. Rest assured, it soon disappears as Mahon progresses. Children of the Halo
A thousand years have passed since the signing of the Pact: an historic agreement between the nations of the Pactlands to work for the betterment of the whole. But in recent years, the Empire of Vector has been growing more bold, submitting a claim for the long-contested Disputed Lands. When a young and inexperienced noblewoman ventures into the anarchic territories the residents call the Free Lands in an effort to discover what Vector is plotting, the last thing she expected to find was a City of Wonders. On a fateful summer morning, the Vancouver Island town of Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada finds itself and its very residents thrust sideways from the world they know to the medieval Pactlands: a world ruled by a shadowy council of mages and governed by the laws of steel and influence. Cut off from their own world, the residents of this small cottage town are thrust knee-deep into the political, humanitarian and martial turmoil suffered by the residents of the Free Lands. Staring down the threat of the Vectoran claimant force, the hidden machinations of the High Magus Council, and desperately seeking the allies and resources they need to maintain their way of life, the residents of Ladysmith must use everything they have at their disposal to survive and claim their own place in a world they were not born to. Magic, intrigue and eight thousand Canadians. What could go wrong? Updates every Tuesday and Thursday.
