《Welcome to the Dungeon》Chapter 42

I went towards the changed space, and I immediately was transferred to another space. Here, a large island was surrounded by seas, and other small islands surrounded it. I heard a voice similar to the system, but it sounded much younger.
[Welcome to Earth's first dungeon. Congratulations on being the first to explore. Currently, only island one is set up. Transferring you to island one]
I guess it's another dungeon. I decided to immediately bring Bella and my daughters over to fight. I wondered how difficult it was, but I was disappointed. We arrived in a grassy plain, with a few hundred goblins awaiting us. I didn't even want to bother with them, so I summoned Typhon and Samantha. Together, it took less than a minute for them to utterly decimate the floor. A door appeared, with a rock structure surrounding it. We went down the stairs behind the door, arriving on the second floor.
Again, there were a few hundred goblins. I used the same strategy against the easy prey. I thought it would be a lot more difficult for other people to even try. Unluckily, there were only two EXP shards, each worth one point. I stored them away for my mom and Emily.
Another door appeared. I wondered if the third floor would also contain more goblins. I could easily deal with them.
I noticed there was no green field on this floor. Instead, there was an altar. It reminded me of defeating the bosses in the real dungeon. On top of it, there were three items. The first was a black card that appraisal didn't know about. The second was a goblin essence seed. I brought it to Persephone to create the tree, although I did not want any created yet. The third was a collection of souls that were trapped within the Earth. I gave them to Persephone, and she told me that she could begin making the required pieces for people to be born. We discussed and chose that we would make exact histories for everyone, once the humans were born so that they would think the world had been going on for a while. We would create actual "Last Thursdayism."
The first item was odd, so I asked my demons. Balam answered excitedly.
"It's an essence card!" he exclaimed. "It contains pure essence that will really help us. You may be able to awaken Furcas's powers. He even may be completely revived!"
"How do I do that?"
"First, have Furcas swear a blood oath."
"Furcas, please."
"Yes, I will," he responded.
I felt my blood dripping on the ground, forming a circle with four quadrants. Within the circle, an odd, three-dimensional rune was drawn. It may have even contained more dimensions!
Furcas then swore the oath. "I, Hellfire Demon Knight Furcas, hereby swear this blood oath: I shall be absolutely obedient and absolutely loyal and give myself into complete servitude, without any idea of compensation, to my new master, Midnight Vampire and Deathly Angel Roberto, whether his race stays the same or changes, for the rest of his immortal life."
A black, sticky drop of his blood entered the center of the runic circle, which shown black before entering the top of my hand. The rune than integrated into both my and Furcas's soul.
"Done," Furcas announced.
Balam continued his explanation. "Congratulations, both of you. Now, Roberto, feed the card to Furcas."
"Feed? How do I do that?"
"Easy. Just put it into the ring."
"I'll try."
I brought the card towards the ring, which turned into its true form. The ring then scanned the card before it disappeared. I heard a popping sound, and, soon after, Furcas appeared as an ugly, old man with a long, white beard. He wore a cloak. In his left hand was a sharp, black sword. On the cloak, there was a strange symbol. There was an inside and outside circle. On the outside were the letters S F U R C A. On the inside, there were three rectangles, each with a circle inside. On top of the rectangles where three evenly-spaced circles. On the bottom corners, there were, likewise, two small circles. Next to the circles were two crosses. In the center of the rectangles, on the bottom, was a thin line leading to the vertex of an equilateral triangle.

"It's nice to finally be back in my true form," Furcas said. "Thank you for releasing me. I shall continue to serve, support, and defend you against all enemies, bear allegiance to you, and obey your orders or those of officers whom you appoint."
"That shouldn't happen," he said perplexed.
"What shouldn't?"
"I should have twenty legions of demons, each containing 66 lesser-race demons. I can't seem to summon them at all."
"They must be trapped," Amdusias states.
Balam agreed, saying, "We've been gone for so long that it makes sense. The only way to find them will be to go back to the realm of Hell."
"You can go to Hell?"
"Of course," Balam said. "It's easy with that ring. Just channel mana into it."
I tried, and I found my mana easily moved into the star, unlike previous times I'd tried. It turned the star purple, taking one-hundred MP. The star began to move in a circular motion, spinning faster and faster until it was all a blur.
I heard Pristine saying, "Alert: Unregistered Skill gained."
I did not see this skill in my status, so I used the demon eyes to finally see what it was
Realm disruption: Hell
Rank: breaker
Description: Summon a gateway between the living realm and the realm of Hell, connected to planet. Can also connect Hell back to planet from Hell, or to any planet. Coordinates default to first level but, upon entering other levels, can be set anywhere within them. Further use requires greater comprehension over relevant laws.
"Let's wait," Balam said. "Complete the dungeon first."
"I haven't completed it?"
"Not yet. You still must touch the back."
I moved my arm, and the slowly forming red and black vortex dissipated.
As soon as I touched the ruby-like object, I heard the normal system ring out.
[Grand achievement: first dungeon conquered on Earth. Gained ownership of dungeon X1A-M1. EXP gain deferred, +50,000. Gained one million X1A-earth points]
Luckily, I had learned a little on floor zero. X1 meant this is the first wave of dungeons. A-M meant the type of dungeon, with multiple entrances. The last number was the ID of the specific dungeon. The points were used to edit the dungeon.
As the owner, I had complete control over this minidungeon, although it was nothing like the real dungeon I went to.
With the one million points, I first spent 100,000 to open five new entrances. Each one went to a different two-floor configuration, which is what made this dungeon so great. I bought some skeleton spawners, hobgoblin spawners, and great orc spawners. I also expanded it to five floors, with the fourth being an ocean filled with sirens, hippocampi, and vampire squids. I couldn't wait to meet them. The final floor, which automatically became a boss floor, would call me over to directly fight. My mobs were my family, Samantha, and Typhon, making the dungeon invincible.
It would take a very long time to move the entire dungeon to Persephone, due to the sheer amount of resources required. Annie hypothesized that there would be no more than five created worldwide each year. By the time the new ones appeared, this one would be safely secured in Persephone. The monsters would join my extended family.
I locked the door, magically, so that it would be impossible to find or enter for anyone less powerful than me. If they tried, I would know.
I left the minidungeon and was getting ready to go to Hell.

Unfortunately, many military men showed up first.
"I'm Major Scheivnov, US Air Force, Flight Commander, 20th Attack Squadron. We'll have a bird ready to fly tomorrow. We have one hundred men assigned to this escort mission, sir. We will be transporting you to Wright-Patterson before going back home to Creech. For tonight, we have prepared suitable accommodations. Your room will be guarded by two two-stared C ranked essence wielders at all times."
He saluted, so I returned the gesture. I then got in the second of the three limos. Sitting on each side of me were two officers who introduced themselves as Master Sergeants Paula and Pauline. They were my guards.
The caravan soon arrived at a luxurious hotel. The military people who'd been with us dispersed to their own rooms, and my two guards stood outside my room. The first thing I did was to go to Persephone. Once there, I finally received my deferred experience points.

I was glad to finally have my domain finished, which would significantly increase my powers and safety in Hell. I could also, now, sense how Earth was connected to a couple other realms. At my current level, I could only identify the dungeon and Hell.
On Persephone, I was glad to sense that no unknown realms were trying to invade.
Early the next morning, I woke up and prepared to go out of the hotel room. Suddenly, the two armed guards grabbed me. I could tell their strength was around twenty, not enough to forcibly do anything, but Pristine also showed one had a skill for binding living beings. Paula also had a second skill, elementary spear techniques. Pauline's first skill was weapon identification to find any weapons on a person. Her second skill allowed her to plant her feet down like roots, resisting winds. They were both classless.
After discerning they weren't a threat, I played along with them. They forcibly brought me into the limo, and they restrained my movement until we arrived at an abandoned farm roughly two hours away. During the trip, I was blindfolded with a burlap sack over my head.
When I next saw the light without my demon eyes, I saw Admiral Gram, Colonel Richards, and Major Scheivnov standing behind a group of about forty soldiers, all pointing guns at me.
"As the most senior officer here, I shall take charge," the admiral announced. "Mr. Roberto, where were you yesterday?"
"What do you mean? I was walking around the city."
"And the day before?"
"Same thing."
Col. Richards asked, next, "where were you last night."
It was getting more like an interrogation with each question. I simply responded, "I was in the hotel room. check with my guards—they would have noticed if I left."
Adm. Gram sighed before saying, "I know you did something. The phone we gave you injects a GPS chip into your blood, which is preprogrammed to reach your heart and stay there. It's powered by very, very small turbines when blood flows over them. We've tested everything we could, and the signal was deemed unblockable unless you were surrounded by a minimum of twelve feet of lead on all sides or deep underground."
Maj. Scheivnov asked next, "As you can see, we know you did something to the chip. Why don't you tell us who you're working for? How did you know about the chip, disable both it and your phone, and evade our surveillance?"
Adm. Gram reprimanded the major before continuing. "First, Maj. Scheivnov, do not interrupt me. Second, let me finish explaining to this kid how what he did was impossible. You see, the phone also can't be turned off by conventional means. The battery life is a month, and the compartment cannot be opened without serious welding equipment. Why don't you tell us how you did it? If not, my friends here won't be so polite."
"I didn't do anything. I just walked around and slept in a nice hotel."
"Nice try. Don't you see those guns? We know you did something," the major said.
Col. Richard tried a different tactic. "If you tell us, you can be exempt from the taxes placed on mutated animal and newly-formed items."
I forgot that there was a high, 40% tax on all sales of such items—half was supposed to be paid by the buyer and the other by the seller.
"I didn't do anything," I responded resolutely.
"Paula, tie him up," the admiral commanded.
Paula took out a length of rope and tried to tie me with it after using her skill. My strength was enough that I just broke the rope apart—it couldn't contain me.
Pauline next took out a different kind of rope. This one looked to be an artifact, and it couldn't be broken by strength alone. Unfortunately for them, I began chanting absolute blaze.
"What are you trying to do?" The major asked. "Your flame dagger is too weak to do anything."
"By the laws of nature, I ask the element of fire to heed my call. By my authority, I, Roberto, command you, in tune with the elements! I request the power of fire! My command is this: rage and rampage unabated! This command shall be through the element itself, to melt the pervasive ice enslaving us all. I call forth the Absolute Blaze!"
"Who said that's my only spell?" I asked while the air instantly turned sweltering hot, and all of the water in the air instantly boiled.
With my body as the center, flames of all different intensities and colors covered everything within one meter—shooting up high into the sky and reducing all of the people to ashes.
A second later, it all returned to normal. With just a thought, I finished off the remaining soldiers. With my new domain powers, it wasn't difficult to do so.
I drove the limo back to the headquarters—I was going to stir up some trouble. From there, I went to the elevator. A few guards tried to ask me about the limo and if I had met the admiral or colonel, but they fell silent when they saw my ID was accepted by the equipment in the back. It let me look at all the security cameras, which only the Admiral and the General, who was currently out on an assignment, were able to accomplish.
With them quieted, I resumed my trip to the elevator, inserted my card, and went down to the third basement floor. Every one I found was instantly murdered by my domain's power—nothing could stand in my way. Using >, I left, found some gasoline, and returned. I spread the flammable liquid around the whole floor, now that there was no one able to stop me. I also brought the few spell/skill books and other potentially useful items with me before setting it ablaze with my spiritual fire.
I spent the rest of the day making my way to the Whitehouse. No one could stop me. Their terrible skills couldn't make it anywhere near my mana shield, and guns were even easier to deflect.
I used some skills to break in and find the president's bunker. He was, of course, hidden inside; however, the thick door was nothing to >. By concentrating it, the power was similar to a laser. I only had to use some MP recovery potions to bring my energy all the way up, cutting through it all.
The man himself was behind some Secret Service agents.
"Relax," I told them.
The president responded, "We don't negotiate with terrorists."
I told him, "Terrorists? This morning, an Admiral, Colonel, and Major tried to have me murdered because their phone tracking was defective. I am taking action against those who sought my life. How is that terrorism? I think retribution would be a more appropriate term—even revenge. Maybe you should rein in your underlings, Mr. Commander and Chief. I'm here to negotiate so that my grievances will be redressed. Consider this my in-person petition, per the First Amendment."
"What do you want?" he angrily asked, knowing that he had no way to act against me. No one on this planet did. To prevent them from becoming suspicious, I had a whole act setup.
I took the president outside and flew into the sky, spreading my angel wings wide.
"I came from heaven to monitor this world after the punishment God chose. I found a suitable host, this man, and took over his body. I shouldn't have to act. I wouldn't have if it weren't for your repulsive behaviors. Don't you think He had a reason for punishing you all, those who turned your backs against him and practiced the forbidden arts of science, against his wishes? I thought there was some hope left for your race, but I thought wrong. I shall personally burn everything away so that God won't have to bother himself with this insignificant race."
I knew, during my speech, that there were cameras filming anything I said. The president got on his hands and knees and begged.
"Please don't erase our race. We've done so many good things. With just a few of us being bad, please don't punish us."
"Are you telling me how to act?" I bellowed.
"No, of course not, almighty angel. May we get your name."
"Amusing little creatures. Let's play a game. For every incorrect guess, I'll kill one million. What's my name?"
The president looked even more worried, which I didn't think possible. He almost fainted. He soon regained his composure and whispered to some aids before meekly, while almost crying, answering, "Michael?"
"Close enough," I said, laughing. "I am a direct subordinate to Gabriel. Since you tried, I won't directly kill you. However, you must strive to become a better race. Your punishment for guessing wrong will be delayed, and, as a consequence, if you do not follow the words of God, two billion people will be expunged."
At this time, I disappeared to quickly have the platoon come down to show off their might and stop any humans from plotting anything. With my military rank in the angel army, I could freely command them, even if not their direct commanding officer. They obliged, flying around the sky at high speeds.
I returned with my edicts. "I have discussed your punishment, and it has been agreed that there is a small way for you to redeem yourselves. The first step in this is to stop fighting amongst yourselves. Love your neighbors. No more wars shall be fought. I have my army finding all nuclear weapons and removing them."
A few more platoons arrived, and I actually did have them removing nuclear reactors and warheads. They also took other weapons of mass destruction. The announcement I gave them was that I was stopping wars and infighting amongst the race, which made them do it even more zealously. They, apparently, were also against humans fighting each other. It would take only a day to do so.
"Second, reorganize the guilds into an international affair. This body will not remember me, so I have to offer compensation once he wakes up. As such, have him become the head of this international guild."
At this point, a group of men clad in black tried to attack me with rocket launchers and grenades, not caring about the president and other senior officials in the line of fire. Before I could even react, one of the angels above shot down spikes from their wings, decapitating the men. I efficiently used the dragon language to direct the mana in the air and efficiently dispose of the munitions.
"That wasn't very nice," I began again. "I told you to stop fighting. I guess I must show my might." I sent a letter, using spiritual writing, to the angel army members flying above, telling them to find and eliminate all murderers and racists within the area and create a pile of bodies.
They began while I continued.
"At the site of your ruling palace, I shall construct a memorial to dissuade you from trying something like this again. My next decree is that these bodies must not be removed."
As they got brought before me throughout the day, I secretly took their blood into my blood world and their souls into Persephone.
I also appeared in deep contemplation. At dusk, I began again with my speech. First, though, I learned a death magic spell I'd been saving: corpse purification, which, for 50DE/body, basically mummifies it and prevents it from being touched or interacted with. All decomposition stops, and all bacteria stop functioning.
"As I was saying, no one removes these bodies or touches them. They shall serve as a warning. As for this man, even as the head, he shall not have any responsibilities, but his decisions shall be binding on the entire world. He shall be the only one to represent this small, little place on the intergalactic stage, as long as he wants to. I have created this artifact so that you can communicate with him. Use it in emergencies only. I shall be departing soon."
These communication artifacts were given to me by the backup arriving from the angel army, and I had them distributed to the heads of Japan, China, Russia, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, India, and, of course, the US.
I used > to create a bright light before seeming to vanish. In actuality, I just used >.
Now, I could finally go to Hell and bring back Furcas's legions.
I used > to begin the portal creation. I could feel the link between the realms strengthen. A blood-red light shot out from my chest, drawing blood from my blood world and integrating it. I also felt the energy of the void condense as the telltale fog enveloped the area. Finally, a black and red swirling vortex was in front of me. I told my family I was leaving, and I walked through the portal.

8 157Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.

Eric Bane is one tough thug, but even he's not immortal. After a deadly ambush, he falls unconscious only to awaken in a castle preparing to meet a king. He was apparently summoned to a parallel world of fantasy to act as a hero who wields one of six Divine Weapons. However, being unfamiliar with video games, he doesn't see the new world the same way the other five do. After being framed for rape, Eric ends up hobbling out of the city with no money, no party, and draining motivation. However, if there's one thing that Samson is good at, it's spite. If the world is going to kick him to the curb, then he's going to beat the shit out of the next person he sees to get back on track. As Eric grows stronger through a natural progression, he slowly discovers the hidden history of the world and the dark secrets of the Church of the Trinity. And while some might wait for the right moment to strike, Samson isn't one for patience. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> This is a story that I've already gotten pretty far with, but I want to release it slowly over a few days to see what the critics say. I haven't finished it, but I've got a general idea where I want to go with it. Maturity for violence, sexual themes, and slavery. No outright sex or nudity, and there is no cruelty exhibited towards slaves. Tell me how you like it.
