《Restarting life as a peasant》Chapter 25

She looked at the spearheads with disinterested eyes and said “good”. Then turned her guards, all of them were looking at the weapons with dropped jaws. She turned to me and said “Are those that good?” I said “Yes, they are that good.” She brings out a pouch of money. And give me “ All 200 of the golds here.” I started to count them in front of her. She was clearly annoyed. Me not falling to her charm and not trusting her started to get to her “How can you think, I a noble woman try to fool a peasant like you” I said “Money has no bloodlines, just pure value.” What that meant I didn’t know either. I just liked annoying her, because of her fussy behavior. She said “We will need further weapons acquirements later. For now that is enough, we are leaving.” I said “Did Bruce tell you about the Avengers of Altus?” She turned me “I will not get involved whatever the crazy cult they are” I said “If you have organized with them you can much more easily defeat the Baron” She stopped, thinking for a second and said “No, I don’t want to” I didn’t want to annoy her that much. I still needed her help for dividing Baron’s troops. I said “sorry my lady, I didn’t mean to offend you. Can I at least ask you some questions?” She stopped, looked at me and said “Ok, ask away quickly” I said “How powerful barons troops are?” She looked around and said “I believe he has around 50 city guards and around 100 other soldiers dispersed in villages. He has a total of 12 knights. I said “Isn’t that number small?” Bruce spoke “The greatest possession of his is Baldenburg city, other than that he only has 30 villages. With around 400 people on average. I made the math in my mind. He had a 10.000 population city and 12.000 people in villages. Of course Baldenburg being the only city around this part actually over a hundred villages do business there. Kings liked making their nobles reliant on other parts of the country. That made lords much less likely to cause any rebellion. When compared to a total of 22.000 people, the number of 150 soldiers didn’t seem that little. I didn’t think Alfred could levy more soldiers from his villages due to them being malnourished serfs or his city due to the city being his main money source and he needing people in there to do crafting and trading necessary for his coffers. But he definitely could hire mercenaries. I said to them “The Avengers planning making their move in the north in three months’ time. Let's attack simultaneously. Gloria thinks a little “In three months’ time my troops will be ready in the west of the land. I had one more question “Where did you guys find the soldiers? 200 spearheads means 200 spearmen is it not?” Bruce looked at Gloria and she said “I said the baron on the west I would marry him if he found me 200 volunteers and I won the war. He already forced 200 of his peasants to fight on my side, but he was too afraid to use his own troops because of fear of the king's wrath. I said ‘what an idiot’ inside. She was playing him. And he was going to lose many of his peasants over that stupid dream. Man should know their place. I guessed If Alfred didn’t find any good mercenary troops soon he would be going to pay a hell of a price.

Greg Veder vs The World
The average person can easily understand that when it comes to living in a villain-infested, crime-filled city like Brockton Bay, treating life like a game can get you killed. It's kind of ironic, then, that Greg Veder has always been far more serious about games than he ever has about life. (Worm/The Gamer AU)

Essence Eater (A Super Progression Fantasy)
Gods. Demons. Aliens. Superheroes. Supervillains.Consume them all for power. Eighty years have passed since WW2, when Prime took to the skies and ended the war. No one knows what gave him his power, or what birthed the wave of supers that came after. Some claimed the nuclear bombs dropped in Japan cracked the barrier between Universes, allowing alien energies to enter the dimension. Others believed the wars finally triggered what humanity needed to reach a new stage of evolution. Daniel Das lives with his uncle in post-super London, the League of Hero's primary hub. He's spent all of his twenty-one years pushing himself, training in martial arts and studying supers, hoping he'll awaken his metagene and gain super powers. The cut-off age is close, but he hasn't yet awakened superpowers. Meanwhile, the League is steadily losing parts of the city to the growing villain factions. Daniel's uncle wishes to keep him away from the world of supers, but with the hot zones closing in, that's easier said than done. There are villains selling unregulated superpowers to gangs and dark days are on the horizon. Despite his limitations, there is no stopping Daniel. He is ravenous for power. If needed, he will ally with demons if they give him the power to protect his family and home. -------------------------------- This world building is heavily inspired by Worm and The Boys. It features dark, realistic storylines, corporation-funded heroes, and villains who aren't necessarily bad guys. The protagonist's powerset involves the crowd-favourite consuming enemies for power trope, too. The GameLit/LitRPG elements are super light and takes a while to kick in. The powercreep is slow as well since I don't enjoy overpowered protagonists. Chapters everyday until book 1 is complete. The schedule will change once I reach that point.

Daughters of the Void
Emily is a high school student. Too tall and developed for her age. Her will has been broken, so now, she is fearful and insecure. But that, doesn't explain why those around her bully and despise her. Perhaps... it is related to the dark and deep secret that she has inexplicably forgotten? What made her forget it? The strange being, with whom Emily once made a pact, intends to find out what has happened. To do so, will take her to a world terribly different from this one. Why does it take her to another world? Why did Emily forget what makes her different? Why the hell, all of a sudden, can Emily see three floating panels in the middle of the darkness? What is this? A video game with a lush green-eyed redhead as the main character? Daughters of the Void is a story told from multiple points of view, which occur in parallel. As if they were several series in one, where each protagonist advances at their own pace. At first, the story of each character will advance slowly, so I ask you to be patient. Soon, you will discover a story of extreme survival in a medieval fantasy world. A story, a bit dark, that can also be a bit comical at certain moments. But above all, it can be harsh and cruel to its protagonists. I’ve introduced LitRPG elements in a very soft and almost non-existent way at the beginning of the story. As the story progresses, they will become more and more abundant, depending on the protagonist. Emily is the main and first protagonist of "Daughters of the Void". After her; Dianna, Tanya and others. Above all, I’m looking for your immersion, so I will make you aware of most of the thoughts of the protagonists. I also want the reader to feel some uncertainty, putting yourselves in the shoes of some girls who can't find what they lack. I look for realism, but also to surprise myself. Around chapter 25 there is an awakening of the protagonists. Moment in which they will begin to behave as they really want to be. Unrivaled adventurers. Heroines of legend. The secondary protagonists were created to cover some deficiencies that I noticed that the series had when it was only Emily, so their chapters will be more sporadic. Tags and warnings give me creative freedom. This is the first story I've written, although they are not my first drawings. Be kind with your reviews. I know everything can be improved. Also, English is not my native language, neither is my brother's. He’s the one who translates the story. Constructive feedback is always welcome. We learn day by day. Everything helps us to improve the quality of this humble project. Let us know what you think.
