Eid's POV
2 years have passed
Like usual I was training with Uncle.
“More put more strength in your attacks"
"HaaaAAaaa!!!"
I put more strength and our sword clashed, after a few hours I was exhausted and was lying on the ground.
“That was a good one Eid but your moves are still sloppy”
“I know Uncle”
I’m now 12 years old and next week I will be going to the guardian academy and I can’t even wait. Looking at the sky looks like it’s already noon so I entered the house seeing mom cooking.
“Oh… mom what are you cooking?”
“Rabbit stew”
After a few minutes mom was done cooking and we all sit and eat. We chatted about me going to the guardian academy.
“I’m sure Eid would become a guardian no doubt about it and also have many girls following him… Hahahahaha”
“Pfft… (Cough)(Chocked)”
Uncle joked I almost died chocking there.
“What are you saying Uncle…? That’s impossible”
“really now so why are your friends all girls don’t tell me your—“
“I’m not gay and also it’s Layla’s fault”
Uncle didn’t stopped teasing me even after we finished eating.
After we finished I headed to the back of the house seeing Mom practicing some magic.
“Mom what are you practicing?”
“Ahhhh… it’s nothing son even your mother needs training you know”
Last year I learned that mom only know basic elemental spell. She confessed that she can’t teach me more than basic spell but promised to teach me spatial magic.
“Okay now son are you ready to learn teleport”
“Yes mom!!”
“But before that what is spatial magic?”
“Spatial magic allows it user to manipulate space for a variety of effects, able to cast powerful barriers and portals to teleport a person or a group, create life like illusions and mostly create a dimension space”
“That’s right and to use spatial magic what do you need?”
“A calculative mind and lots of focus”
“And why do you need to focus”
“it’s the most important thing in using magic mom”
“that’s right if you don’t focus specially on spatial magic you might lose a limb, other body parts, worst fall into the void”
After that mom explained me on how to use teleport, mom’s been teaching me for a year about spatial magic but this is the first time she’s teaching me to use it all she did last year was teach me all about spatial magic and its origins.
Mom’s really knowledgeable about spatial magic.
“Ok now concentrate on a place and Imagine yourself standing there you can use a portal or instantly teleport like me but I suggest for you to use a portal cause it’s much stable than making yourself teleport instantly on a spot”
I concentrated and Imagine I was standing inside of my bedroom.
*BLINK*
I feel nauseated and I opened my eyes and was now inside my room, can’t stop the joy I started laughing and started vomiting at the same time (how do you do that laughing while vomiting?)
Lillian’s POV
“Ohhh… to succeed on the first time as expected of my son”
last year at first I was contemplating too teach him spatial magic cause it’s dangerous but who can say no looking at his pleading eyes begging me to teach him. I first started teaching him the origins and how spatial magic works, Spatial magic was a specialty of my family the Hao clan.
After that I got upstairs and see my son vomiting while laughing I don’t even know how to react at that but looking at him happy at his achievement I felt happy to.
“So how was it?” my son said while still vomiting.
“Hmmm… good for starters and the nauseating part you’ll get used to it but I’m warning you now Eid don’t use spatial magic if it’s not an emergency as I said spatial magic is dangerous even masters of spatial magic are always careful when using it”
“Yes Mom!!!!”
“Ok now start meditating and replenish the mana you lost even if you have an enormous amount of mana capacity spatial magic still takes a toll on it and always remember as a mage we rely on our mana once its empty we’re almost half dead”
“But I’m a warrior to mom”
“Having yourself emptied of mana you’ll feel weak and would affect your performance”
“really?”
“yes, for example a warrior uses mana to strength once self even if its subconsciously used warriors still use mana so what will happen if a warrior was emptied of mana”
“all that’s left is muscle strength”
“that’s right so it is wiser to balance the two both mind and the body”
seeing my son like that feels like he need to learn much more.
“Ok now clean your room it smells of vomit and also take a bath”
“Yes mom”
Eid’s POV
I took a bath and now looking at the window waiting for the fairies that goes to the forest every full moon every year I watched her dance there without getting caught for two years, it’s not like I like her or something (BakaNeko: tsundere on the making ahahahaha) it’s just that I’m fascinated in her (BakaNeko: so what do you call being fascinated then)(Eid: shut up writer just write don’t mess with me!!!)
I look at the forest and wait but for some reason I can’t see any light, maybe they won’t go tonight.
After that I saw a flash of red spark in the forest and it felt ominous. I picked up my sword and started running at the forest without getting caught by uncle and mom. (BakaNeko: sneaking out of the house that’s bad) (Eid: could you stop doing that please… just write this I know you’re bored but that’s not a good reason to mess with me) (BakaNeko: ….)
I headed to the usual spot that I always go watching them and saw…
“What a coincidence seeing you here princess (grins)” says man with two horns protruding on his head like a ram
“what is a Demon doing here in the forest?”
“Maybe waiting for you to come and eat you (grins wider)”
“so you’re that person always watching me starting 2 years ago?”
“What are you saying? (The demon scratches his head) Ohhh you mean this guy (points where I was)”
Shit I’d been found no wait don’t panic.
“I know your there why don’t you show yourself (red sparks started gathering in his right hand and formed a ball) if not I’m gonna throw this there, not like you have a choice any (The demon throw it at me)”
“SHIT!!!”
I barely dodge it and hide at the nearest tree I found, well looking at the tree it had a big whole in the middle if that had hit me I’m dead
“Ohhh… he dodged it, well you should just show yourself you know both of you are gonna die anyway”
Should I show myself or not… urghh Ok now or never…
from my spot I looked at the place where the princess is and teleported in front of her. The princess and the demon were both shocked, after that I grabbed the princess’s hand and tried to teleport again but I couldn’t focus on a place so I just looked at the farthest place I can see.
*BLINK*
“this should be a safe place… huff huff (catching breath)”
it really takes a toll on the body good thing I feel a lot less nausea for the second time
Thinking for a sec. I feel a soft warmth in my hand it’s kind of sweaty, soft (BakaNeko: hehehehehe…) (Eid: dumb writer) the heck I was still holding her hands.
“Sorry!”
I took of my hand and starting to look at the place where we came from, shit he’s still following
“Uhmm… princess this might be rude but”
I hold the princess hand again and started running.
