*This could be bad*
As the monks began to cast the spell the ideas of being found out raced through my mind ,would they attack me ,will I be chased out , will they try to use me for their own means as a tool?
With those thoughts racing through my head the monks finished their spell and a glowing circle enclosed the area around us.At this moment I felt a slight brick comming from my foot looking down I saw what seemed to be a black snake trying to coil around my foot seeping into my skin.Reaching down to grab the creature the monk looked at me in wonder
“That is a Shadow Eye what is it doing here!”
As the creature squirmed in my had the monks looked ready to attack as they motioned to the snake like creature I began to squeeze it. Whirling in pain the creature died in my hands,as it turned into a black smoke a notification appears I front of my eyes
Defeated Shadow Eye
Transformation gained “Shadow Eye”
Looking at me in wonder the monks became weary all except
“That is amazing to be able to kill a shadow with you bare hands is not something you see every day,do you perhaps have a mana skill?” He said
At these words he put his hand to his chin
“Well it must of gotten onto you before we travels here?”
Thinking back I remember that the shadow at the village had attacked me and pushed me back, explaining this to be nodded
“Makes sense putting a Shadow Eye on someone is like a fracker and a spy at the same time now that it's dead it might try to find you even quicker”
Turning around he motioned for the monks to spread out through the city and place wards to keep the shadow out of the city.As they left to do their job led me into the fort where he took use to a large room in the center.

Decorated in what seemed to be a mixture of Roman and early Japan art styles the room radiated the feeling of knowledge.
While looking around I heard a gasp come from Camellia as I turned my head to look at her she seemed to be staring at the ceiling looking up i discovered a mural of what seemed to be this world composed of what looked like 12 contenants the world payed out in a pentagram shape with a small island to the north and one to the south.Taking in the detail of the map I noticed a small island that was colors pure black contradicting the rest of the map that was filled with bright colors. Seeing our sight on the ceiling smiled
“Yes it is impressive I remember when I first joined the order and saw that mural truly masterful of the arts.”
Seeing that our eyes we now on him he motioned for us to enter the room in the back.
“Since we finished the interview and paperwork at the village I will just ask you two to touch this orb.”
With an eyebrow raised the monk took this as a sign to explain
“This orb is called a register, after touching it the spirit inside will ask you the same questions we did when done it will store a copie of it inside and produce a card for you to keep when the card is updated so shall the orb keeping the info current. It helps us located criminals and keep track of populations in our city's and villages without us bothering the people, in short it will keep us out of your way unless a problem arises”
Hearing this explanation I was reminded of the ideas of social security and birth certificates from earth. Nodding my understanding Camellia stepped up and touched the orb,at her fingers the orb turned blue then green after a minute it spat out a card that Camellia caught. Seeing that she was fine I looked at the card in her hand showing her age and name even her race was written down it also said at the bottom that she had no occupation and was not enrolled in any school.

Seeing this I placed my hands on the orb.As my fingers touched it the orb unlike with Camellai turn bright green and swirls of brown were thrown in at this the building began to shake and then every thing went still.Looking around Camellai and the monk did not move at all standing like statues in a garden. At that moment I heard a voice
“So another has come from the ones above”
Looking around I couldn't locate the voice
“Over here big guy”
Fallowing the voice i look at the orb
“So what brought you here big boy?”

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
