One week ago our party receive a quest from adventure guild. This mission is Rank-A according to the guild. The content of mission is to retrieve an ancient artifact from a shrine in the southern continent forest. Of course We are very happy because the price from the quest is 100 Gold. With that much money we can change our poor home vilage into a very big city.

Now we arrive on the shrine. But something feels wrong when we walk closer toward the shrine. Suddenly Rana (The Mage) warn us.

“It seem a barrier is set at the entrance to the shrine. Don’t let your guard down.”

We walked carefully toward the shrine.

Suddenly we hear a loud roar not far from us and it seem that the source of that roar getting closer. And a red dragon appeared from the forest.

“WHY A DRAGON APPEARED BEFORE US? I DIDN’T HEAR IT FROM THE GUILD THAT A DRAGON LIVED AROUND HERE. IS THIS QUEST SUPPOSED RANK-A? IF A DRAGON LIVED HERE AT LEAST THE QUEST SHOULD BE RANK-SSS.”

My Brother Alexander (The Paladin) speak. From the tone of his voice, It seem my brother had gone into panic.

“This is bad isn’t it?”

While said that Glen (The Warrior) had a wide grin. It seem he got excited. To think that he would fighting supperior being.

“Well we got no choice. Everyone prepare for the battle. Evasive Formation”

My Brother got his composure back. As expected of party leader. By the way evasive formation is a battle formation with two person in charge of swift attack, three person in charge of support, and one person protect the back of formation. As the name implied that this battle formation is used when the enemy is stronger than us. By using this formation even if we lose we can retreat more easily.

I attack the dragon first but his attack not even leave a scratch on the dragon skin. Its skin as hard as diamond, my sword broken from hitting that dragon scale. Rana try to attack by her magic. Various magic used but an invisible barrier deflect all of her magic.So the magic is also useless againts the dragon. Then this time the dragon begin to attack us. It use its fireball to burn us but Rana use her remaining strength to cast a barrier and she is colapse from excessive use of stamina. We lost our hope as the dragon get closer because with out Rana magic we cannot escape this place. When we still in shock It killed my brother pierced his heart by its tail.

“BROTHER”

I scream.

How is this possible why my brother killed so easily? WHY? The dragon then approach Leia and tried to kill her. Glen try to block the attack but he got killed on the spot by same attack it use to kill my brother. We can’t do anything now. I guess this is our end. Because the party strongest my brother and Glen we lost our fighting spirit. Toto (The Explorer) try to run away to the forest leaving us behind. How dare he leave us behind. But I cannot blame him because our situation is gotten very bad now. The dragon begin to chase him to the forest.

A few moment later a young man come out from the bushes. A try to get our attention but we cannot reply our body is paralyzed by fear. Suddenly we see the dragon come back with Toto in its mouth. Then the dragon eat Toto. And Crunching noise can be hard as the dragon eat Toto.

The dragon notice the young man presence. Well this is bad. I don’t want to see an unknown person be killed. He should run. But I can’t speak a word as I am paralyzed by fear.

But unexpectedly the young man seems to think about something and a wide grin appear on his face. What are you thinking? Are you 2nd Glen?

The dragon try to kill the young man by its tail. But the young man evaded all of the dragon attack. His movement so beautifull. Its like he is dancing we are captivated by the young man. I said we because it can be seen on Rana and Leia face as they are blushing. Then the young man jump on the dragon back and he punch it. Is he crazy? WHY PUNCHED IT? But the most shocking thing is the dragon scale is crushed and the dragon scream in agony. How is this possible? My sword that made from mithril broken when it hit the dragon scale and HE IS BAREHANDED PUNCH CAN CRUSH THE DRAGON SCALE. How hard is his fist?

While we shocked from the absurdness of our situation the dragon fly to the sky with the young man hit the dragon in its back.
