《Catastrophe Teacher》Chapter 9: Different Perspectives
Advertisement
Christian Laurel is a senior that's considered to be one of the strongest students in the school. During his 1st year, he was approached by James so they could form a small group. This group was meant to be at the top of the hierarchy. Due to James, Christian, Leila, and Eline's combined effort, it became the top of the hierarchy within the student body.
Their group was called the 4 Monarchs. The 2 kings and 2 queens were meant to rule the student body. Calloren academy endorses leadership and power, so the administration allowed this group to stay. During their 2nd year, the administration decided to finally make the position official.
James, Christian, Leila, and Eline are the 4 Monarchs of the school.
They were given privileges that only they were allowed to have. When the 4 Monarchs were established, the original student council was abolished and was replaced with a royalty-based system with the 4 Monarchs reigning above all.
The highest in the school are the 4 Monarchs.
Below them were the 8 dukes. The dukes were powerful and are positioned to replace the Monarchs if they either showed weakness or graduated. Below the 8 dukes are the 16 Marquesses, powerful students that have good potential to be individuals of great standing in the school.
These 28 students are the leaders of the student body which heavily influences the decisions of the teachers and the officers of the school.
Christian enjoys his privileges but he knows that he is required to work hard, something he hates. Thankfully, his unique power is extremely powerful.
Christian's will was weaker than some of his dukes and the 3 monarchs could wipe the floor over him but he kept his position due to his unique power. Christian's unique power was B-Class but his fellow Monarchs knew how powerful it was. Christian's rank, power, and talent allowed him to be confident in his position.
But today, Christian felt a chill climb his spine. Christian was pale as he stood still.
Eline, who was with him, notices it.
"Christian? Is there a problem?"
Christian quietly muttered.
"A real king is nearby."
Eline heard it and tried to clarify.
"A what?"
Christian started running, leaving Eline behind.
"Leila! His power is the same as Christian! Wrap your body with will! Don't let him weaken your body!"
Leila nods and disappears from view as she rushes towards Stevie. James lets go of the unconscious Dante and quickly turns around to throw a will-enhanced punch towards Steve.
Steve doesn't react to the incoming blows.
Before the two could reach Steve, the students watching the commotion happen to start to fall unconscious one by one until only a few are left.
Stevie raises both his hands with superhuman speed and catches Leila and Christian's fists.
"What the?"
Steve speaks with a slow tone.
"You let my friend go. Thank you."
Leila and James back away when Steve lets them go.
Suddenly, the feeling of weight and burden disappears from Leila and James' bodies.
James looks at Leila.
What is this? Christian doesn't have the ability to steal the energy of others!
Leila looks angry but also excited.
By the war god! His body is overflowing with so much will and energy!
Stevie looks simple but his body is currently flowing with the energy of the unconscious students, Dante, Selena, and a small portion from both James and Leila. They were able to shield themselves from his unique power by wrapping their bodies with their will but even then, the shield is slowly being gnawed on by Steve's unique power.

Leila licks her lips while staring at Steve, like how a hunter craves for his prey.
Stevie looks around and notices Suzaku and Carly. Suzaku looks pale while Carly managed to cover her body with her will but is struggling since she isn't as powerful as James or Leila.
"Suzaku and Carly, can you two help me?"
When Steve notices that Suzaku is about to faint, he deactivates his unique power. Suddenly all the energy he took is absorbed into his body. His powerful aura disappears and becomes hidden once more.
"Seniors, we are about to be late. Can we go?"
Leila is about to charge but James appears in front of her.
"Yes, I'm sorry for bothering you and your friends. Be careful."
"James? What are you doing??"
"Shh!"
Leila quiets a bit, knowing that James is serious. While she didn't like all of James' ideas, she got to her position of power due to his plans.
Suzaku and Carly run to Stevie.
"Can you two help me carry them? Carly, please carry Selena, I'll carry Dante with Suzaku."
Carly looks at Steve with renewed respect but she nods quickly.
"Okay!"
Suzaku sighs, fatigued from Stevie's power.
Once the three students walk away with their unconscious classmates, Leila turns James around.
"What the hell was that??"
James scrunched his face.
"It was called being careful."
Leila scowls.
"We could have taken him! I could have taken him!"
James replies.
"We've never met someone with a unique power like that! We have to make sure we can defeat him! I don't have data on them yet okay. This is literally the 2nd day of school."
Leila grits her teeth.
"But we attacked those two without hesitation!"
"Yes and that was fine because we were testing them. This Steve is obviously far more powerful than what we expected."
Leila growls a bit but before she could shout at James again, they both hear a familiar voice.
"My dear monarchs are skipping classes again..."
James and Leila slowly turn around to see a massive muscular man 8-foot man glaring at both of them.
"Si-sir Jackson!"
Leila rolls her eyes as James calls their teacher's name.
The massive professor moves with great speed and grabs the two monarchs.
"Time for my king and queen to go to class!"
James tries to plead his case.
"We didn't mean to cut classes sir Jackson!"
Leila tells him to stay quiet.
"Shut up James, we're already caught."
"Fuck!!!"
Carly is quiet while she's carrying Selena back to class.
While walking, she steals a few glances towards Steve.
Suzaku is staring at Stevie while carrying Dante's unconscious body.
They walk in silence with Steve's eyelids half-closed.
Iza was nervous. It was her second day and she still felt like she didn't make any real friends.
August was in a bad mood so she couldn't approach him. She tried to talk to Moriah but she was also in a bad mood. In fact, all the students who fought Giles were in bad moods.
The ones who didn't fight Giles haven't come to class yet, except maybe Virgil who's doing nothing but swing his pen. Iza pales at the idea of not having any friends.
Am I really going to be friendless?
The door suddenly opens. Iza quickly turns towards the door.
Friends?!
Iza's hopes are dashed away as she sees Suzaku and Carly bring in an unconscious Steve, Dante, and Selena.
Moriah's angry look dissipates and she quickly stands up to rush to them.

"What happened?!"
Seth meekly stands up and follows Moriah. Most of the class then follows to go and see their unconscious classmates.
Suzaku puts Dante and Stevie in their seats and Carly puts Selena in her seat.
Carly answers Moriah's question.
"They fought the seniors and were knocked out."
A young bald student approaches the unconscious duo. He was confused since he knew that Dante and Selena were especially strong when compared to the other students.
"They lost?"
Carly looks at the student and recognizes him as Ben Priger, a student that didn't fight with Giles.
Suzaku replies.
"Yeah, they lost hard."
Ben scowls a bit, aware of how crazy Selena is.
Seth notices that Stevie doesn't have any bruises and is snoring.
"What about Steve? How did he get knocked unconscious?"
Carly and Suzaku look at each other a bit sheepishly.
"Well, how do we explain this?"
Anne Jaxon was currently in a marketplace. It was 7:00 AM and if she didn't rush to school, she'll be late. But Anne can't help it, she had a particularly bad habit.
The market just started to come to life with early birds walking around to buy the best supplies.
Despite spending time here, Anne wasn't looking to steal from common everyday people. She was looking for big fish.
Anne wore a black hoodie and a small white mask which allowed her eyes to see clearly. She looked suspicious but eccentric will users tend to move everywhere. And most people ignored these types of people, especially since most of them can level an apartment building when pissed off.
Anne looks around and notices a man wearing a branded jacket. He was flanked by some tough-looking thugs.
There!
Anne starts to move towards the showy person, careful to not attract any attention.
She uses her unique power to speed herself up by absorbing the speed from her nearby surroundings.
Anne weaves through the crowd with barely any sound or presence. This type of work is something she's very familiar with.
Within a few minutes, Anne has closed the gap between her and the thugs without them noticing.
Anne enhances her speed again and moves with a speed that's hard to track. She deftly checks the back of the two thugs.
Armed with guns. As expected.
Anne thinks for a bit while following her target.
Well, nothing is gained without taking risks.
Anne starts to go closer to her target, using her unique power to slow them down but not enough for them to notice.
When she's a bit closer, Anne overhears the young rich man talking to his thugs as if sharing some gossip.
"So, my dad got a new shipment coming in. You two better take me there or else."
One of the thugs seems to be exasperated from the young man's arrogant attitude.
The other smaller thug is the opposite. He's doing his best to brown-nose to the young man.
"Of course sir! You will eventually take over your father's business and make it a better one!"
The bigger thug rolls his eyes but offers a not too dangerous idea.
"Sir, your father has told me to keep you safe. After all, you are just discovering your potential."
Anne silently chuckles as she feels only an above-average potential from the young man.
"I don't care what my father said! I've discovered that I have a unique power! So I'm not going to let my father dictate what I will and what I won't do."
The small thug seems to be giddy as his charge is becoming more brazen.
The big thug sighs.
"Whatever you wish sir. I will inform your father of your wishes."
"No! Don't inform my father."
"Sir?"
"I want to surprise him. He will surely be happy to see his son."
Anne seems to smile to herself as she follows these three.
It seems I found something big! I'll trail these guys and see what I can get from them. If worse comes to worst, I can just phone in the defiants.
Anne opens her phone and puts the nearest defiant office in speed-dial. After confirming that she can easily reach the nearest defiant office, she pockets her phone.
Easy.
Anne ignores the time and continues following the three thugs.
After a while, Anne figures out their names from their hushed conversations.
The young man was named Atlas while his brown noser is Hanoa and the big thug is Bradley.
The three men were almost out of the market while Anne was tailing them.
Everything was going smoothly until Anne sees two persons she recognizes.
What are those two idiots doing here?
Nicholas and Cieran didn't go to school today. They are a bit ashamed that Giles easily disposed of them when they attacked him, so to cheer themselves up, they decided to cut school.
They were about to go to a nearby arcade to have some fun. They decided to cut through the market.
"Hey look at this Cieran! The fish here is so cheap!"
Nicholas slaps the body of a hanging monster tuna.
His eyes shine as he looks around, appreciating all the fresh food displayed.
Cieran rolls his eyes.
"Well, of course, they'd be cheap. This is a port city after all. Fishermen quickly drop their haul here to sell it."
Unlike most students in Calloren academy, Cieran and Nicholas came from C-Class lower schools. They both come from poor families and because of this, their families are closely knit.
They got enrolled in Calloren academy through a scholarship grant due to their high potential, A-Class unique powers, great compatibility with each other, and their delinquent attitudes.
"We should buy some and take them home!"
"Take where? We're staying in the dorms and we don't have money to send them back to our families."
Nicholas' chirpy mood seems to dampen a bit but he quickly recovers.
"Well if we don't have money, why are we going to the arcade then?"
Cieran pulls Nicholas away for a bit.
"We're not going there yet."
"What do you mean Cieran?"
Cieran looks around to see if anyone is looking at them. Once the area is clear, Cieran whispers to Nicholas.
"We're looking for some people to skim some money off. If we see someone with heavy pockets, we can try to take it from them."
"Won't that expel us if anyone finds out?"
"If anyone finds out."
The two of them have stolen before but due to Nicholas' good heart, they've only done it to verified assholes and wealthy people. If it was fully up to Cieran, they'd mob anyone that had a phone.
Nicholas reluctantly agrees.
"Well, we have a condition. We only steal from assholes and rich people."
Cieran rolls his eyes again.
"Yes yes. I know, now let's look for our mark."
The two young men look around and scout the market.
It takes a while but eventually, they find three well-dressed and arrogantly looking men.
"Nicholas, look. They have nice clothes."
Nicholas sees Atlas, Hanoa, and Bradley.
"You're right. Hmmm, those two guys seem powerful. You sure we should try to rob them? If they have more will than us, they'll surely be able to capture or worse, hurt us."
Cieran nods.
"Well, we can try to blind them instead, like we always do when we deal with powerful guys."
"Oh, the blind and bind trick?"
Cieran seems to chuckle.
"Yes, that one. I'm still confused as to why your light powers can make cuffs."
"It's just as dumb as your dark powers' ability to make chains."
They both chuckle. Cieran goes serious and speaks.
"I'll darken the area for the two of them first so they're forced to adjust and when the darkness is gone, you flash a charged explosion of light so they're really blinded."
Nicholas offers a fist bump and Cieran takes it.
They mentally prepare themselves and start to summon their unique powers.
Cieran claps his hands lightly and dark shadows start to engulf his arms.
"Wait for it."
Nicholas' eyes flash white as he summons a ball of light on his palm.
When Cieran is about to release the darkness, Nicholas suddenly grabs him.
"Wait!"
Cieran's concentration is broken and he looks at Nicholas pissed.
"What now?!"
Nicholas points a few meters from the back of the three thugs.
Cieran follows Nicholas's finger and notices a disguised woman trailing the three.
"Is that who I think it is?"
Nicholas brightens as he recognizes their former teammate.
"That's Anne!"
Cieran curses.
"What is she doing here? And trailing our target as well?"
Nicholas notices that Anne is staring at the two of them.
"I-I think she's looking at us."
Cieran sees her glaring at them.
"Well, let's call her. If she can help us get some money, that'll be better."
Nicholas starts to wave towards Anne. Cieran quickly pushes him down before he attracts the attention of the three men.
"What are you doing?!"
"You said, let's call her?"
"I said that but discreetly!"
"You didn't say that!"
Before they could continue bickering, Anne sneaks up beside them.
"You two are so gonna get me caught."
Nicholas speaks out in surprise as Anne suddenly appeared beside them.
"Anne! When did you get here?"
Anne rolls her eyes.
"You quickly forgot that I can manipulate speed."
Cieran nods. He then gestures at the three thugs slowly getting farther from them.
"So those three, they're your friends?"
Anne chuckles as she shakes her head.
"I've been trying to skim some money off of them. And you two idiots are gonna blow my chances."
Cieran and Nicholas look at each other and smile. Cieran then looks at Anne and offers her his patented handsome smile.
Anne rolls her eyes. Cieran continues.
"So Anne, I have a proposition for you."
Never the type to abandon opportunities, Anne perks up.
"I'm listening."
The defiants.
An organization created by one of the greatest heroes in the world to ever exist.
The job of the defiants is to protect the world from its natural dangers. Before humanity became the superpower it is now, great beasts, ancient demons, and all-powerful gods ruled the world. The defiants were established to slay the beasts, seal the demons, and deal with the gods. The defiants have kept this position for almost five millennia.
While the government has its police, protectors, and enforcers, they respect the decisions and choices of this omnipresent organization. This is because the defiants have the ability to overpower the government if not for the defiant's goals and values.
Whenever beasts appear near humanity, they take action.
As of now, two agents of this organization are currently looking for the individual who destroyed the mierfuen. As of now, these two agents were in front of Calloren academy.
Calloren academy has a massive gate with dozens of powerful and invisible entities guarding it.
Guard Yatt is only there to answer any important questions or queries. He's also there to prevent non-students from going in, without Dr. Lyo or ms. Ava's permission.
"Charlie, we're in front of the school. So how do check this place?"
One of the agents, Charlie, is wearing a brown suit while the other agent, Jack, is wearing a blue suit.
"Jack, we aren't going to do anything wrong. We're just here to ask questions."
Jack nods, smiling at his partner.
"I guess you're right. Now let's scoot up those stairs and go in."
Charlie frowns.
"Jack, there aren't any stairs. It's just a long path."
"I know, I was just making a metaphor."
"But Jack, a metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable."
Jack sighs and nods.
"Just roll with it."
"Oh! Okay! Let's scoot up those stairs."
Jack and Charlie walk towards the gate but they hit a hard invisible wall.
The open gate, which lets in its students without any problem, appears to have a transparent wall blocking anyone that tries to enter.
The students walking with Jack and Charlie are let in but the two are not allowed in.
"We can't go in."
"I see that Charlie."
"Hmmm, maybe we can call that guard over there."
Charlie points at guard Yatt, who is standing near the main entrance of the school.
"You're right, I'll call him."
Jack starts calling Yatt.
"Hey!"
Yatt is sitting on a chair watching the gate, obviously ignoring the two.
"I don't think he's hearing us, Jack."
"You think?!"
Yatt ignores them more, giving the passing students cheerful waves.
"Hey! You guard! You better let us in!"
Charlie chimes in.
"Yeah! Or else!"
Yatt ignores them.
While Jack and Charlie make a commotion in the front gate, Ava comes out of the building and meets Yatt.
"Yatt, are you busy?"
After hearing the voice of his superior, Yatt immediately perks up.
"Oh, ms. Ava! No, I'm not too busy or preoccupied. Is there anything you need?"
"Well, an incident just happened so please go to the hallway near the catastrophe classroom. It seems a fight happened and some students got knocked unconscious."
"But ms. Ava, who will keep guard here?"
Ava turns a bit and sees the two men at the gate. She smirks a bit. Yatt smiles back at her.
"I'll handle the gate. I'm also waiting for a certain teacher anyway so you go help the nurse."
"Yes ma'am!"
Yatt stands up and starts running.
Ava sits on Yatt's seat in a dignified position.
Jack and Charlie continue to make ridiculous poses near the front gate.
Are these two really agents of defiant?
One of the luxuries of being part of an S-Class institution is that the faculty, guards, and administration can choose to ignore the defiants and government agents unless it was a serious problem. Since the defiants only sent two low-ranking agents, Ava could not be bothered to entertain them.
Still ignoring the two agents, Ava looks at the time. She mentally notes that it is 8:00 AM.
Late again.
Ava greets the incoming students, all the while ignoring the two agents.
Eventually, an hour passes, and the agents give up, promising to return in a few days. Ava waves them goodbye which does nothing except piss them off.
Once the agents were gone, Ava feels movement from far away. She uses her powerful senses and will to locate the extremely fast-moving target.
Ivor.
Ava sees Giles moving towards the school.
Wait, he has no plans of stopping! That bastard!
Ava gives Giles a deadly glare but it does nothing to stop his speed.
Do you think I can't catch you?
Ava infuses her body with will and appears at the right moment to stop Giles.
Giles slams to her and she simply shrugs him off.
Once Giles is knocked on the ground, Ava starts releasing a menacing aura.
Ava takes a look at her watch.
"9:05 AM. You're late... on your 2nd day, after just being late on your 1st day."
Anne frowns when Giles shows her an expression of surprise.
There we go again! That stupid face!
"Why is the head officer in the front gate? Shouldn't that be guard Yatt's job?"
What the hell is this moron prattling about?!
Ava is about to hit Giles but she quickly calms herself down.
No, Ava, you are a mature person.
After calming down, Ava speaks again.
"Yatt had business. He's currently hauling a lot of unconscious students to the clinic."
"What?!"

DarkBoi69's mediocre, rushed and badly-written aventure
Follow DarkBoi69's edgy adventure as I move him through a shitty plot where he meets terribly-written characters like angry evil stupid villains and naive cute useless busty women. This story is not really an actual serious story but simply a writing exercise for me to focus on overall writing speed, forcefully insert some writing in my everyday life to increase productivity and most importantly help with turning ideas, thoughts or feelings into writing directly without feeling blocked, hopefully trying to achieve something as close as possible to writing unconsciously what i’m thinking about. I'll probably try to do something like writing as much in 30 mins as I can, nearly every-day. So far I've only done this once and it already seems like a pretty good thing to do. I don’t have anything planned and that’s probably going to be a constant for every one of these exercises, so it’ll end up being not very good (although maybe better than it has any right to be? ) and nonsensical.
