"Y qué tipo de bestia marina es este gusano?" Preguntó Ricardo algo más calmado, al saber que no había ayudado a matar a una pobre chica.
"No es una bestia marina ..." Respondió el capitán, buscando alargar la conversación con Ricardo para encontrar pistas sobre el estado mental del grumete.
"Si no es una bestia marina, que es esta cosa?" Preguntó con ciertas dudas Ricardo.
"Es una criatura tipo 'tritoide' o humanoide, como les quieras llamar" Respondió Wiliam armando otros tragos, aparentando no buscar nada de la conversación
"Entonces ese gusano de mierda, tiene el mismo estatus que un humano?" Preguntó Lucas aturdido, no podía entender como un gusano del tamaño de un dedo, se le pueda poner en la misma clasificación que él.
"El mismo, no..." Comentó el capitán para la fortuna de Ricardo
"Un estatus superior ..." Agregó luego de la pausa para desgracia de Ricardo
Pero antes de que Ricardo pudiera comentar, Wiliam lo interrumpió abruptamente diciendo:
"En principio, el gusano no mintió cuando dijo que era Adrienne Vólkova, pero la chica solo era su 'caparazón'"
"La verdadera Adrienne, es ese gusano que le está comiendo el cerebro a su 'caparazón' muerto"
El capitán miró a Ricardo que seguía medio aturdido, pero no presentaba ninguna anomalía como le había dicho Dima, capas el viejo le había exagerado un poco pensó.
"Y porque este gusano tiene mejor estatus que un humano?" Preguntó Ricardo la cuestión que le dañaba el orgullo.
"Chico, ¿cuánto sabes de los 'Lupins' o vulgarmente llamado 'amigo del mar'?" Preguntó el capitán.
"Eso es un Lupin? Mi papá me presentó un par de Lupins, que vivían en nuestra isla y eran dos viejitos" Comentó Ricardo con mucha duda.

"Esos eran sus caparazones, muchacho" Comento Wiliam la deducción básica.
"Pero aún más importante, recuerdas si te dijo algo, el gobernador, sobre los Lupins?" Preguntó el capitán.
"Que dan buena suerte ..." Dijo Ricardo, lo recuerda porque nunca entendió a qué se refería su padre cuando le dijo que esos dos viejos dan suerte.
"Por eso lo capturó, capitán?"
El capitán ignoró la pregunta y detuvo la charla. Se acercó a la caja donde el gusano comía feliz y la miró por un tiempo.
"Eso es una excelente manera de decirlo, sin ofender a nadie ... "Murmuró el capitán como tratando de recordar la expresión del gobernador.
"No lo capturamos, solo lo estamos llevando a casa, vive en Los Álamos con su padre"
"Y para ... ?" Trato de pregunta Ricardo
"Todos los Lupins siempre andan de a dos, uno es padre y el otro el hijo, se reproducen dividiéndose en dos mitades, por lo que su relación es bastante más fuerte que la de un humano con sus hijos" Fue interrumpido abruptamente por el capitán.
"Porque es..." Trato de pregunta Ricardo
"Cuando lleguemos le voy a pedir al padre que me pague por el viaje, total como dijo el gobernador: los Lupins dan buena fortuna y son actuales dueños del océano, chapas nos les falta" Fue interrumpido abruptamente por el capitán.
"Pero no debería ..." Trato de decir Ricardo
"Matar el caparazón, es una mera formalidad, no quiero que ande por la cubierta y se interese en obtener otro 'caparazón' con alguno de los muchachos" Fue interrumpido abruptamente por el capitán.
Ricardo escuchó atentamente, quería preguntar y decir algunas cosas más, pero cada vez que abría la boca, el capitán lo interrumpió como si estuviera buscando provocarlo.
Pero Ricardo parece haber interpretado, que el capitán no quería hablar mucho del tema y llegado cierto punto simplemente escuchó y no abrió la boca.

"Bueno chico, no te pongas mal por no haber entendido las señales de Dima, da la casualidad que hace mucho tuvimos que transportar algunos Lupins, es por eso que los chicos lo reconocieron y te usaron en el plan para eliminar el caparazón" Dijo el capitán al notando que Ricardo no se estaba alterando por las interrupciones.
Al parecer el caso no era tan complicado como había dicho Dima, entonces con tranquilizar a Ricardo con algunas palabras debería andar bien, pensó el capitán.
"Por lo demás ,chico, te pedí que vengas porque tengo una pregunta para hacerte..." Comentó el capitán.

It can't be that you killed-" but again, before he could finish dark ice formed in his snout gently crawling to his eyes. He retaliated by breathing his icy breath but even the absolute ice was frozen by the abyss black ice magic that was crawling through his body.
