De tanto trabajar con Ricardo, Lucas aprendió que el joven grumete hablaba, pero en general se la pasaba más en su mundo interno que prestando atención a la conversación que estaba teniendo enfrente por lo que no le molestaba el poco interés que tenía.
"Dijo algo más el capitán además de la desviación del rumbo?" Preguntó Lucas con cierto interés en su propia seguridad
"No que recuerde ...."Contesto Ricardo colocando más pastillas de combustible en la estufa "Pero comento que ya pasamos bastante tiempo sin ver nada inusual por estas aguas"
Lucas dejó de cocinar y miró a Ricardo que seguía trabajando sin prestarle atención "En general eso es mala señal....."
"Por? ¿Qué tiene de malo no encontrarse con bestias marinas?" Comentó Ricardo mientras se hipnotizaba mirando el fuego de la estufa "Llevamos varios meses sin encontrar nada raro , además de tu naufragio y lo del gordo"
El balanceo del fuego se reflejaba en la cara de Ricardo mientras decía "Lo del gordo si me dio miedo... pero ya paso bastante tiempo sin que ocurran esos cambios de personalidad que provocaron su muerte"
"No entiendo por qué estarían buscando que ocurra algún hecho anormal en estas aguas"
"Supongo que nos desviamos más de la cuenta y deberían esperar ver cosas anormales" Comentó Lucas mientras se sentaba a esperar a que se cocine la comida al lado de Ricardo"si no podrían pensar que estamos sobre aguas profundas....."
"Aguas profundas?", murmuró Ricardo ya completamente hipnotizado por el fuego y su mundo interno Ricardo
"¡Que estamos sobre aguas profundas!!!" Grito el joven grumete como hilando los hilos del problema, mientras saltaba de su silla y miraba a Lucas algo asustado
"Estos borrachos nos van a matar Lucas!!"
"No te alteres tanto, hay muchas formas de que se formen las aguas profundas...." Comentó en voz baja Lucas mientras vigilaba que la comida no se queme "La única condición es que haya algo que asuste lo suficiente a las criaturas marinas como para que no quieran habitar sobre ellas"

"Y una buena razón es que haya un Kraken nadando en ellas o una puta ballena que come barcos!!"Grito Ricardo nervioso.
"Sí..." Comentó Lucas "Pero no debería ser el caso estando tan cerca de una ruta segura , probablemente solo sean unos corales que liberan gas venenoso para las criaturas marinas y por eso la evitan, creando un espacio de aguas profundas"
"Como también podría ser un antiguo campo de batalla lleno de fantasmas sedientos de sangre" Completo Ricardo, bastante molesto de enterarse de que le preocupaba al capitán.
"Sea lo que sea solo podemos confiar en el capitán..."Murmuró Lucas sacando la comida de fuego "aunque para nuestra desgracia probablemente duplique las personas que hagan guardia en el turno nocturno"
Los dos grumetes siguieron trabajando y pronto la noche llegó, por desgracia para los marineros el capitán sí empezó a agregar más personas a hacer vigilancia en la cubierta a la noche
Pero por ser novatos ninguno de los dos fue seleccionado para hacer la guardia porque pudieron dormir cómodamente en sus redes esta noche.

Overall the main focus will be the main character's own story rather than the events of the world. The setting itself uses many familiar fantasy elements, though I plan to add my own twists. Note that I'm not really planning to write any steamy scenes, despite the said character context being literal demons of lust and all. There are of course jokes and scenes that skirt around the subject, but this is not a romance story of any kind. So, is it a mess? Probably. But I hope it's an entertaining one at that.
