《Pasted Gunner》#21-Life is a change-Departing

A week later
Using my remaining resources, I made approximately 350 rounds. And from wood and leather, I made sheath for the sword, I got from the last reward. I could have stored it into Inventory, but still, even though Inventory is already like part of me, in stress situations is better to have it on your hip. I also upgraded it by mixing some carbon into the blade and the very middle of the sword, and removing some carbon from other parts, making it both hard, sharp and flexible.
And why sword? I don't wanna waste my precious ammo on small fries. When the enemy is too close or I won't have enough time to reload, the sword is convenient too.
For the same purpose, I also created bayonet for my assault rifle.
Now is time to move on. I don't wanna to live rest of my life in this damned forest. I also don't know on which continent I am, what is also problematic. Anyway, let's just pick direction and move up.
I was deciding for long time and in the end, I got to the decision that it doesn't matter, so I picked North. I stored everything in the Inventory, including every single chemistry tool or vessel and departed.
"Good bye, I won't be missing you stupid plaxe"
And with these words, I left.
Only one matter had to be done before I really go. I had to visit the spirit tree.
The business I had there was to collect more healing fruits and to ask several questions to the "mighty" spirit of the forest.
"Yo, how's it going" (J)
...
"Hey, don't act like you are not here" (J)
"What do you want, puny human? Why do you bother me?" (S)
"Hey, hey, take it easy ok? I've just got a question" (J)

"I am listening" (S)
"Uhmm, don't you know direction to civilization, to other humans or so?" (J)
"No" (S)
"Huh, and didn't some humans travel through there?" (J)
"Yes" (S)
"And from where did they come from?" (J)
"It was many year ago. From Northeast" (S)
"Thanks, and didn't you promise me to help, if I leave?" (J)
"Haven't I just helped you?" (S)
"Yes, I was just wondering if... You now, since I ate your fruit, I've got some Spi energy, so I wondered if you could give me some spell or how do you call it? Please, I'll spread the seeds." (J)
"You'll spread the seeds? Do you promise on your soul?" (S)
"Yes, I do" (J)
"Very well, do not dare to break your promise" (S)
The tree and me suddenly glowed for a moment.
"Skill achieved. "Summon spirit"
"Huh, thank you very much. You've got my gratitude." (J)
"Hey, you know what? You are actually kind spirit ; )" (J)
"Whatever, now, leave" (S)
"Farewell" (J)
....
[Huh]
I picked as many fruits as I could and finally, departed.
I really couldn't call it traveling. I was more like piercing through dense vegetation, yet it was not the kind you would expect in rainforest.
I really didn't need to hunt since I had the supplies from goblins, and believe or not, it was good stuff, not exactly tasting, yet not spoiled, edible and nutritious.
A week later
That week was ok, no big encounters. Only weak monsters, worthless of describing.
I have already spread some seeds as Spirit wanted, you know, I keep promises.
Anyway I still held the same direction, North.
I since I had lot if time, I usually practiced either skill or just mana manipulation. I mostly practiced Extract or Steady aim, Quick draw had there been too. But perks or abilities weren't too good to train, it gave me only minimum of xps so it started to bore me.

My enhanced body was as good as try-hard sportsmen. Way far to peak human, yet pretty nice in comparison to rest of earth population. Because of this, I was able to walk almost for whole day, just with pauses to sleep, eat, drink, doing a big and small business and sometimes just to rest or to explore new fauna or flora. Unexpectedly, I rarely found myself being bored by walking. Mainly due to almost inexhaustible supply of new songs, which I didn't burden to play at Max on my factory new JBL. Oh, that would probably explain the rarity of encounter with problematic creatures. Also way to solve the problem huh? No sane creature dared going close to guy, who is playing "It's time (Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke)" at whole forest.
You have to ask, how do you supply it with power? Easy answer, using the solar charger. I didn't said which solar charger I got. Some would imagine that pocket-size box, that charges your phone for eternity. No, I got a damn huge solar layer, which is foldable and when you unfold it, it is almost as huge as a middle size TV. What I also didn't mention is my probable position.
Not like I can guess it. When I walk to the North, sun shines in my face or rather it would if I wasn't in the forest. Taking into consideration the angle, I had to be at about one third from the equator to pole. It is just rough estimation, not something to bother with anyway. It just meant, that I had to carry the solar layer on my vest. I did it so, that didn't get in way while walking. It took some effort by the way.
[Just using estimation and calculator and my memory, the daylight is about 14 hours per day I am lazy and wake up late, make 12 hours minus three hours for daily business, makes 9 hours of walkable light. Normal human walks around 3.5 km/h, I walk through the forest, but I also am not ordinary human, so make it 4 km/h. Nine times four is thirty-two. 32*7 is ehhh, calculator, 224.]
" Not bad, not bad. However, this number gives me nothing, I dunno the size of the planet, I dunno the size of continent I am on. Heck, I don know even on which one I am. Ahh it's frustrating. Shit, two months on this fucking world with just animals or goblins to speak with. I, I need some humans to speak with, not just myself. And the spirit? I could as well speak with stone. What would I do for some company. Girl ideally. And I AM HORNYYY.
My hand is stopping to be sufficient.
Now I am even speaking to myself.
How many times did I tell myself not to ...
Cursed circle.
....
If I had a car. Shit"
[If I had the car, this week could have been long enough to find civilization.]
And so my new journey continued.
