《Annotated By Sins, Magic Academy》Reboot: Chapter 22

“So what made you waste all your mana just to one up a Prince? Who I might just add, be brothers to the Crown Prince. The same Crown Prince your father rejected blatantly at a ball. Who’s father’s father was also rejected by your grandfather. In other words, you two have an antagonist relationship that could be said to scour the heavens. Yet, you did such a stupid thing just to one up him? Wow.” Kayla's eyes were switching between slits and dragon orb size.

“Just wow!”

Kayla threw up her hands, shook her first, planted her hands on her hips, even stomp her feet.

The whole time she ranted, I had this euphoria feeling of having let off steam. Like a weight has lifted off my shoulders and I was seconds away from flying up to the heavens as if I just took a shot of red bull.

I giggled and Kayla threw up her hands again. Walking away while cursing my seven retarded ancestors in every colorful elven language known to man. The rest looked between us before taking a side of the one that didn’t insult their fashion. They even tucked up their nose at me.

“Hmpfh!”

For some odd reason, I found this utterly funny. Enough to bend back and let out a balls clenching laugh that left me cramping the moment I stop.

I got control of myself and rushed after them. However, I couldn’t erase the smirk on my lips. Or the laughter in my eyes, the best I could achieve was a semi-casual look with my sleeves rolled up to just before the pit of my elbow.

“I’m sorry. I had some residue negative emotions built up. Lost control for a second. So how about dinner and silent film? I heard they are all the rage right now.” I buttered up, flashing my ever charming, dimpled smile.

She merely snorted, but I could see her shoulders relax, somewhat.

“We can talk about it after you help me move out of my stupid dorm. I am with three useless people who are complete slobs. Don’t you have a villa? I heard nobles have their own private housing, but for some reason, your stupid human admins think that an Elven Noble below Prince isn’t a noble. What a fucking load of shit? I’m richer than ninety- eight percent of all human nobles. And yet they want to tell me that I’m just a merchant commoner according to human standards.” she ranted with even bigger passion than when she flamed me for being a bit silly.

“If I’m not a noble then who the fuck is? Just because your family has over tens of thousands years of history and several peak experts above Sage level, doesn’t mean you're noble. At worse, it just gives you a sense of superiority to commit atrocity against your own people. Fucking scum, the lot of you.”

I cleared my throat as she pointed at my face.

“When have I ever committed sin against my own people? I am a fairly humane person. Look, I even took care of our commoner sisters. Uplifting them for free without expecting anything in return and you dare sully my family upstanding reputation and honor. If you weren’t a lady right now, I would raise my hand in protest.” I jest, pausing to flex my impressive biceps and stare at the sky with my nose turned up.

Linda coughed, “Didn’t you push that Duchess girl off your platform just because she pulled rank?”

My face sank a little.

The enchanted jumped in, “Didn’t you only invite us because it would increase the amount of credits you would receive?”

My shoulders after that.

Followed by the blacksmith, “Didn’t you only invite females? This is gender discrimination at the strongest point in human history.”

My spirit was washed away.

Kayla merely snorted, agreeing with their points, and daring me to rebuke them.

I thought of something to say but cough. I am surrounded by charming and intelligent women, thus I conceded.

My chest deflated and I walked forward with the deadman stare. Head tilted downward, eyes cast towards the great abyss, shoulders slumped, and palms facing up. Uplifting the great sin that I was burdened with since a young age.

The sin of being a man in a women world, hoho.

It was a great thing that we had quickly made it back to portal location. Otherwise I think my soul and mind my have been converted and I would be preaching feminist outside of cafeteria.

I half expected that someone would broach a topic. The topic of my insanely wasteful use of magic. Instead the so-called Prince looked at me and turned away. Like it wasn’t a big deal at all to top him in such a way.

I mean, he had a point.

For me to wipe out so many creatures so as to gain over two hundred thousand points, I indeed wasted a trump card. Even looking back now, I felt that was insanely stupid move but sometimes. Things happen in the way you least expected them and this was one of those moments that shows.

Negative deposition can, in fact, cause you harm.

Jacob counted us off, “sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty… twenty-nine of you made it back. What an utter disappointment.”

He scoffed and turned around, no longer associating with us.

“What is his deal?” Linda whispered.

“Well, you might not know this but we are progressing to the point that the resources in our kingdom can’t keep up with the number of talented people. Thus we always sought out other worlds to conquer but there are other worlds just as powerful as our own. And there are accords that prevent staggering losses.” Enchanter girl took the time to flex her knowledge. “The only worlds we can safely subjugate are those that are naturally hostile to our species. Such as demons, orcs, man-eating plants and bugs. However, we aren’t the only ones fighting for these heavily resources planets but our forces are not adequate enough to compete with the best. Thus all new harsher teaching methods have been inducted. Plus nobles aren’t all that gentle, caring teddies bears anyway. So this is nothing to them. It is just us that feels this is unfairly cruel and evil.”

The blacksmith girl nodded her head, “I always felt that the nobles were too ruthless. Now I understand, they are fighting for something bigger than what we are hoping to achieve.”

Kayla snorted, “Don’t let them fool you with such pretense. Take this useless sack of shit for example…”

Her voice cut off as I grin devilishly. My aura choked off her words. Some places she could joke and curse to her heart content but every noble had turned around to hear what she had to say and she didn’t even have the ability to beat me at my weakest.

Nothing was more clearer than that. The moment my aura stole her breath away and I was merely a fledgling Grand Magus.
