《Saving The Future》Chapter 32: A slip of tongue

Aariv picked up the 6 solar panels, battery and wire, and headed to the roof, where the cub followed behind with its small steps.
When he came out of the room he saw Black coming towards him.
"Your highness, I have good news," Black said cheerfully.
"Oh what is it?" said Aariv,
He wasn't looking like some noble prince but like some mine worker. His face had black dust all over and his clothes had turned dirty due to dealing with sand.
"We found the couple you were looking for. They are still alive but not in very good health. The man had an accident 5 years ago and couldn't do manual work, he was going to be executed but then the mine supervisor took pity on him and gave him a desk job of calculating every day's output. Both of them are currently being respectfully brought to the capital, they'll be here in 2 days" Black answered.
Aariv was very happy with the news, "Give the mine supervisor 5 gold panas, tell him that prince Aariv is grateful" Aariv said and handed the battery and wire to Black.
"Follow me," he said.
Aariv went to the roof and looked for a nice place to set up the panels. After looking for some time he settled for a location.
"Black, put the stuff here," Aariv said.
He set up the solar panels and hammered the nails to the metal frames and the ground. He just used his hand to hammer the nails. Black was surprised to see Aariv doing that like it was nothing.
He then connected the wires and the battery. The battery was waterproof so he fixed it near the panels. He didn't want to use too much wire so he decided to make magnets on the roof.
He took out an iron ingot and levitated it and then used pyrokinesis to burn it beyond the Curie temperature, which was 770-degree Celcius(1,418-degree Fahrenheit).
All ferromagnetic materials like cobalt, nickel and iron, when heated beyond Curie temperature their atoms align themselves to form magnetism. Then the iron is cooled down in a magnetic field and hammered at the same time. This way permanent magnets are created.
It took Aariv 3 hours to make 20 circular magnets. He then started to lay down the wires. He asked Juno for help to hide the wires in the walls, but most of the walls were made of wood, so he had to be careful where he put the wires. He extended one wire to the Royal court and another to the King's bedroom.

"Aariv, when did you come back?" his mom asked, the moment he entered the room. His little brother Bindusara was also there.
"Big brother, where is my present?" His brother asked.
Aariv's brows furrowed. He forgot to tell his mom that he was back and to bring his brother a present. He set up the wires hurriedly and ran to the door.
"I'll be back in an hour with a present and answer your questions." He said and ran out.
"Your highness, Her majesty will get angry at you later," Black said, he had gotten used to Aariv's easygoing nature by now.
"I know man, she's too dramatic. Let's go now. we need to set things up."
...
15 minutes later, Aariv was in the empty Royal hall with Black. He set up the Jukebox near the entrance reserved for the emperor, which was behind the big curtain and the Throne. He set it up there so that the servant could quickly play and stop the music at the emperor's discretion.
He also attached 10 more speakers all around the big hall. He had made so many magnets, just to make speakers and sub-woofers.
After setting everything up, he powered up the jukebox. Many led light light up and made a pixelated lion pattern. Aariv clicked on a cyberpunk song to check speakers and subwoofers together.
Soon the whole Hall was covered in futuristic beats, Aariv felt mesmerized with it, Black nearly jumped when he heard the beats and the bass.
Aariv went to every corner to check if everything was working perfectly. There was another button on the Jukebox labeled 'KING'.
He clicked it and a loud Lion's roar sounded in the hall from the throne's direction, the cub got scared and hid between Aariv's legs.
After the roar, intense drumbeat started, it went from low volume to high volume, making the Black feel like someone majestic would come out of the curtains behind the throne at any moment. then the beat suddenly stopped for a second and another roar came.
He had made this just for the emperor's epic entrance. After that, he picked up the frightened cub and went to his room to make a gift for his brother.
He made a simple wind-up(pull-back) car. It just needed a frame, wheels, some gears, and a spring. With the help of Juno, he made it easily.

He then picked up the newly made communicators, speakers and a panel full of buttons and the toy car. He went to the King's bedroom.
After reaching, he saw that his father was also there. Aariv first put his things down and went to his brother.
"Here this is your present, you pull it back like this and it goes forward on its own," Aariv said as he demonstrated on how to play with it.
"Wow, big brother, this is so cool," Bindusara said with sparkling eyes and started playing with it,
He then looked at his parents and said "I have made the long-distance communicator I was talking about but before that I have another present for you"
He picked up the remaining 5 speakers and subwoofers and set them up in the room. He connected everything with the panel full of buttons, which he fixed on a wall.
He had made the juke with special features, it could be started and controlled from both, the King's room and the Royal Court. The panel had a mute button to mute the music if one side didn't want to hear it, though it still played one song at a time.
He called his mother and father.
"Mother, father, come here," he said.
both Chandragupta and Durdhara came closer with confused expressions.
"Alright"
He pushed the power button and a led lit up. He then pushed the button and played the 'Bohemian Rhapsody Orchestral version'. (Youtube video link in the author's notes)
Suddenly the pleasant sound of various instruments filled up the entire room. Even Bindusara who was playing with the toy started to jump with the melody.
Aariv just Smilingly looked at his parents and they looked at him with happy yet shocked faces.
After 7 minutes the song ended and Aariv explained everything to them, how to operate it and to always keep it on mute so you don't get a jumpscare if the other side decided to play music.
"Father, the main machine which produces the music, is placed in the royal court. I'll show it to you tomorrow.
Now let's get to the long-range communicator. Aariv placed one communicator near a wall and the other near the parallel wall. The communicators were just 3 inches thick and had a circular shape with a diameter of 4 inches.
"Okay, press the button on the top of the communicator and stand 4 feet away from it," Aariv instructed from across the room.
They did as he said and soon a life-size, colored holographic image formed above the devices. Aariv was looking at his parents and they were looking at Aariv.
Aariv waved his hand and said something. His parents did the same. He then stopped the transmission and told his parents how it worked.
"This thing works on battery which you will have to charge every once in a while, I know you don't know what electricity is but just remember to always attach that wire with this device whenever the red light blinked on it, the socket is just beside the holocom(he named it holocom). Red light means charge, green light means that the charge is full and blue light means that you have a message.
Sometimes when you are not able to accept my call, it will record it for you to see it later. To see it, press the button above the blue light. okay?" Aariv asked.
His parents nodded and looked at each other's faces.
"How did you make this, son?" His mother asked with a confused face.
Aariv just went close to his mother and patted her shoulder.
"I am blessed by the gods, mother, This is just the beginning. I'll show you many more amazing things when I come back," Aariv said without thinking.
"What do you mean 'when I come back', are you going somewhere?" She asked with a puzzled face.
Chandragupta's and Aariv's face turned pale hearing her.
~Shi* I forgot that she didn't know I was going to Himalaya, I guess I'll have to persuade her now~ He cursed himself.

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
