《Saving The Future》Chapter 31: Making stuff

After leaving the Prison Aariv headed towards the Royal Palace, when he was passing by the small market in the center of the city he remembered that he had ordered something to be made from a blacksmith.
He went to the Blacksmith shop and entered the waiting area. He once again saw the young receptionist. Aariv didn't want to waste time, so he just asked for his item.
"Did you make what I asked for?" Aariv asked.
"Oh welcome Mr. Sunflower, yes, we have completed your order." The guy said smilingly.
It irked Aariv but he didn't say anything and just gave a death glare.
The guy thought that Aariv was still angry for what happened the last time.
"Just give me my item, I am in a hurry," Aariv said.
"Yes yes, master blacksmith is currently sleeping as he was working on your order the entire night before, so he'll not see you, I'll bring your order." The guy said and rushed into the storeroom.
He came out a minute later with a 1-mete X 1-meter steel box. It was open from one side and closed from the other, It had many small sections in it.
"Here's the rest of the payment." Aariv gave 1 gold pana to the guy and picked up the box.
He returned to the Royal Palace in another 18 minutes. Aariv was first going to see Kautilya. It was a designated no court day so Aariv headed to the office.
"Your highness" Both guards at the door gave a salute.
Aariv nodded and entered the door.
"Baldyyyy, did you miss me?" He teased.
Well, it would be a lie if he said that he didn't miss the cheerful Aariv around, but still showed his always serious face with a small smile.
"Little Aariv, How was your trip?" Kautilya asked.
"Well, nothing much, I just killed some poachers and met a very nice Yaksha and also, look at this furball, I've decided to adopt it," Aariv said as he stroked the cub's head, who was still stuck in the baby carrier.
Kautilya's jaw dropped, this much happened and Aariv said nothing much. He wasn't worried about the poacher and cub but when he heard about Yaksha he got worried. He knew that many evil Yaksha's liked to enchant people and use their bodies to harm others.

Aariv saw the worry in the old man's eyes and said. "Don't worry baldy, that Yaksha was not evil and he is actually the caretaker of the forest. He became a Yaksha after being killed by slave traders 30 years ago. He was just 8 years old at that time." Aariv said with a sad voice and continued.
"He asked me to help him deal with the poachers and in return he helped me find what I was looking for. He also asked me to find his parents"
"Oh we must fulfill his wish then. A good yaksha can give you a good blessing, that is if you make them happy, did he tell you where we should look for his parents?" Kautilya asked.
"Well, I think he's pretty happy with me already and yes, he did tell me. His parents were wrongfully imprisoned by the governor of the Nanda dynasty. I just came back from prison but they were sent to mine. I've told Black everything about them, you should also send more people to find them. I want to keep my promise with Neer." Aariv said firmly.
"Neer?" Kautilya asked.
"Yaksha's name. Okay that's it for my journey log, did you get all the stuff I asked for?" Aariv asked, he wanted to get to work as soon as possible.
"Yes, everything is ready," Kautilya said.
"Nice, send all the stuff to my room and I'll be needing an assistant so send black to me, when he's done with his work. I'll go and take a bath now" Aariv said and started to walk out.
[Grr]
Just as he walked out he heard a stomach growl. He knew that it wasn't him and looked at the 2 guards standing at the door.
Both the guards looked at each other's face and then Aariv's and said at the same time. "It wasn't us, your highness"
Aariv laughed looking at their flustered faces.
"I know it's not you, the sound's coming from this little guy, he's hungry," Aariv said, pointing to the cup. The cub looked full of energy and tried to bite Aariv's figure.
Aariv played with it and said "tell someone to bring some milk in a saucer to the bath hall"
"It will be done, your highness," one of them said.
Aariv then walked away while playing with the cub.

"I still need to name you. Hey Juno, any suggestions?" Aariv said.
He didn't receive any reply.
"Agh... Where did she go with Jojo now?" He complained.
...
Inside the bathhouse.
Aariv was sitting in the hot water pool. He had also bathed the cub and had wrapped him in a towel.
"Grrr"
"Yes, Juno is dumb. She clearly has the brain but still acts childish."
"Rawr?"
Aariv was having an imaginary conversation with the cub. Just then the door opened and someone came in. Aariv thought that someone must have brought the milk.
"Who drinks milk while bathing?" The voice asked.
Aariv recognized the voice and answered. "It's for him"
"Oh, who's this little guy?" Chandragupta stroked the cub's head and placed the saucer in front of it.
Chandragupta also got in the pool and sat down. It became an awkward father and son's private chat time.
"When are we going for siege of Saurashtra Kingdom?" Aariv asked.
"In 5 days, what was the place you said you want to find?" Chandragupta asked.
"It's called Dwarka, It is believed that the city was ruled by God Krishna but for some reason it sank," Aariv answered.
"Are you going to search for a city under the water? How the hell are you going to do that?" Chandragupta asked with concern.
"I am not normal, I can probably live underwater if I want," Aariv said in a doubtful tone.
"Wait what do you mean 'probably'?"
Aariv didn't answer, he got up and left with the cub.
...
He was in his room looking at the pile of goods. the first thing he was going to make was solar panels and batteries.
He then saw Jojo come in from the balcony. "What's up, Aariv," Juno said.
"It's work time Juno" He started picking out materials.
"Alright, Juno I want you to separate Graphene from these Graphite stones. It should not be hard for you." Aariv told her about the job. He also needed silicone to make circuit chips. Other things were glass and metal.
Everything went smoothly and Juno separated graphene, while Aariv used his pyrokinesis(Fire manipulation) to make glass from sand to cover the panels.
Making Chips was harder as he needed Juno's help. He first made silicon from sand and then wafer ingot from silicon.
The ingot was a 10-inch X 8-inch size. He needed to cut them into thin slices and make circuits on them. Juno had everything in her mind so she cut the chip and also made all the transistors and gates on it. The chip required for the holographic communicator needed to be powerful so it required a lot of work.
After 15 minutes, Juno made 2 powerful chips and 1 more weaker chip.
He could have made more powerful Graphene chips but then he wouldn't have enough graphene left for solar panels, so he made silicone chips.
After that, he made the casing for batteries and panels, of course with the help of Juno the great.
Her matter manipulation powers were too amazing.
Aariv didn't go out of his room for 2 days, he didn't even sleep at night. The only break he took was to play with the cub every once in a while.
After everything was done he started working on his surprise that he wanted to give his mother and father.
He had noticed that the current era had no sense of music. The entertainers invited to the court were bland. So he decided to make a Jukebox with non-vocal music.
Juno could just write the data on the hard disk. He was first going to make a big jukebox with circular vinyl records because he didn't know if Juno could write digital data but after experimenting, they found out that she could.
He just wasted 2 gold panas on the box, but he still used it. He decided to put some LEDs on it and make it look cool, cool enough to be put in the Royal court.
He included 50 songs, divided into 3 categories. Ambient calming music, instrumental/orchestra and Cyberpunk music, which was very popular in the future.
He made 6, 500-watt solar panels, which would produce 3 Kilowatts of electricity in just 1 hour of sunlight. That much electricity was enough to run many things.
He needed to set up the battery and the solar panels first. He also needed to put speakers in the communicator and the Jukebox and to make those he needed magnets, which could only be produced with the help of electricity.
He made a 300-meter copper wire and coated it with rubber insulation, and he still doubted that it would be enough.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? MANTIS: On Hiatus
Two young adults who were childhood friends are killed amidst a pandemic worse than our own. After many years apart, Rihelah was on her way to see Michael, hoping to rekindle their friendship on the day they would both lose their lives. The pair are unwittingly selected to represent Earth in a test set forth by godlike beings who are intrigued that our world gave rise to complex life without having been intentionally seeded by their kind. Michael and Rihelah are reincarnated as predatory insects upon a distant planet called Edon. Elves, Dwarves, Dragons and their kin, Goblins, Ogres, Humans, Lizardfolk, Orcs, and sapient arthropods known as Enkelyn all inhabit this beautiful world touched by magic. The tiny mantids must survive terrified and very much alone upon arrival, while neither is aware that the other has also been reincarnated upon the same island. Naked in their new chitinous exoskeletons, they must now brave the terrors of an alien world's food chain. Each will benefit from their years of experience on Earth, but they must somehow find a balance between old lives and new. Moderate mindsets and peaceful values from a mostly safe and privileged life on Earth must now contend and somehow coexist with the strange physiology of a new and unfamiliar body as well as the violent aggressiveness of a predator's mind. To top things off, the pair are about to find themselves struggling with their inner turmoil while swept up by terrible conflicts they know nothing about. Both endure the hardships of their new lives while attempting to understand and make proper use of a mysterious and terse video-game-like System that pops status notifications into their vision from time to time, but initially has no useful interface. Some of the options they are presented with sound enticing, but as with everything else in life, each choice has benefits and drawbacks... Author's Note: This story makes many changes to the original version, and readers of Mantid will find that many things in Mantis are new and different; especially after the first few chapters. I've learned a ton from writing like a madman, and also from the RR community. I appreciate you guys! :)
