Welp, back to the drawing board.
Personally I believe this has been an incredibly succesful run. From the start I uploaded knowing full well that this was going to fail, as most first attempts do, yet I did it to try regardless. If I had never taken that first step I probably would have never actually attempted my hand at writing and gotten over that fear of being criticized.
l've learned a lot over these few months, such as how much time commitment and effort it really takes, the downfalls of my writing style, and overall finding my writing style and improving on it. At the moment I have the "it sounds so much better in my head!" problem and slowly learning the method on bringing those ideas to life in an interesting and well-thought out manner. There is potential here, but its currently not even a diamond in the rough but instead the picture of a cave that may have diamonds, so work needs to be done.
So with that said, I will be stopping my erractic uploads and instead focus on actual writing. I'll be plotting the timeline from start to finish (and not from event to event), and then working in each event and, and issues with said events, then character reactions, dialogue, etc etc etc.in the end I want this story to be my magnum opus (its linked to a board game/video game of my own creation plus 4 other novel ideas that span generations), so I'm going to take my time and make sure it is as great as I can make it.
In the meantime however, I will be working on shorter stories to improve my skills. One of those will be a short horror/drama to focus on writing atmosphere, pacing, and tension while the other is a slice of life comedy to focus on character dialogue and witty humor. Since I don't want those to necessarily fail, I will probably upload once I have a good 30+ chapters in each of them, so about 6months from now.

Thank you all for having taken time out of your day to read my disaster. it brought me a lot of joy to see the view count tick up, sometimes a minute after I uploaded, and I am really bummed out to have failed so miserably, but I will keep my head high and keep on trying and hope to catch your interests again in the future.
Until next time!
