Wrote: Been a while since update, and here I am doing something else entirely.

Minor spoiler, which is not to be worried about if you read up to what was translated.

Anyways, this is the side thing (3rd version of the original idea), enjoy.

Whether or not I'll keep this running is still unknown.

Legendary heroes are but decorated heroes, whose deeds were sung in songs and told in tales by the bards in the inns. But the true heroes, lie in the shadows, unknown, unsung, yet persevere in doing what they believe is right.

This may or may not be the tale of one.

It is the time at last...

VR CAPSULE - Prototype Alpha build 2.46

An early product made for the testing of Royal Road, discontinued after the commercial version of the current VR capsule was made.

To say that it is obsolete, however,is not entirely accurate. It was too pricy for normal homes. Hence, the simplified, mass produced version, took over.

The difference? Other than being bulky and hard to move around? There are plenty of differences in terms of specs, but most importantly, this unit does not have the usual vein and retinal scan.

Identification and logging in is made directly from brain wave patterns. Something not quite suitable for mass producing, or as secure as the commercial capsules.

So why is this feature so important?

Because it is possible for even me to get into that world.

My name is Half Sauce Half Fried.

Half Sauce, Half Fried, Full masculinity. Seriously, no other rooster has such a gorgeous red comb as mine, the wattles that would sweep the feet of any hen,or the proud and strong chest of the truest of roosters.

The epitome of Cockness. Or is it Roosterness? The equivalent of manliness for the human kind.

Fun Fact: We roosters are so manly, humans named their manhood after us. Yeah.

But really, I’m getting off the point here. This should be the part where I explain what I’m doing in front of this contraption.

To begin, we shall do a quick flashback, I heard humans love flashbacks.

Lady Seo Yoon.

The story began when my saviour, the goddess in human form, Seo Yoon, rescued me from the grasp of my former evil master.

A master so evil, he tried to fatten me with leftover food so that he could eat me once I’m all grown up.

That was until Lady Seo Yoon stepped in and rescued me from his grasp.

For that, I am eternally grateful.

After the incident, I was in her tender loving care. Despite the weird food she tried to feed me, and the other human females that occasionally tried to pet me, life was good.

I thought this was heaven, I thought it would last.

Until that day.....

I saw in the magic screen humans used, something quite dreadful.

It was my former master, feeding my goddess while she was defenseless.

His evil knows no bounds! First he tried to feed me, trying to plump me up so that he could eat me. Failing that, now he seeks revenge on my saviour who thwarted his plan.

What does feeding her have anything to do with revenge, you ask? Everything!!

Me overthinking stuff? Exaggerating? Fool, this former master of mine feeding others food is a marvel by itself! His greediness is beyond what your imagination can grasp! He has an ulterior motive!

He intends to eat my master!!

It is quite obvious. He wanted to fatten up my master first because she’s too scrawny to eat. He did the same to me too. (He failed due to my current master’s intervention. That’s the motive!)

It was at that moment that I realised that I need to take action.

I realised that it was impossible to try communicate with her, since chicken tongue is an ancient powerful language reserved for only the mightiest of creatures.

Did not stop me from trying, though.

Since my goddess can’t understand chickenspeak, the only option is for me to go there and rescue her!

I started researching the magical screen, studied its properties, and managed to trace it back to its source.

It was a world different from ours, filled with more magical stuff. And to get there, one needed to go through some magical teleporting contraptions, aptly named capsule by the humans.

Thus, I began to push my research further. A world that was said to have a magic that would automatically translate everything you say, a united world where language is not a barrier. A place I can finally speak to my goddess and warn her of the evil that is Lee Hyun.

Which brings me to this day,and hence my journey begins.

“Would you like to log on to Royal Road?”

“BAWK”
