Awaken by the sound of the birds outside the palace, I could feel a heavy yet soft object pressed hard against my face. Hanabi… I thought to myself. “Hanabi, I can’t breathe.” I grabbed the figure by her arms and pushed her up whilst sitting upright. To my surprise, this figure before me wasn’t Hanabi but instead she was a beautiful tan girl with dreamy blue eyes, she slowly opened her eyes and let out a yawn.

“You’re awake.” The woman gets off my bed revealing her skimpily dressed body, she then places one arm behind her hand and made a V-sign with her other hand towards me. “My name is Cleopatra, greatest ruler of Egypt! You can call me Cleo for short, it’s nice meeting the son of my lord, I must say your body resembles him a lot, maybe even better at certain areas.” *wink*

“You’re weird, very weird.” Wait did she say Cleopatra, you mean she was the Cleopatra of Egypt? I looked back up to her confused, “No offense lady but shouldn’t you be dead?” She looks back at me baffled and seemingly about to cry, placing her hands over her mouth she looks away from me. “How rude… That hurts…”

Realizing that I fucked up, I approached her and apologized profusely, then she shot a smirk at me before grabbing my arm and sending me hard towards the ground. “Yes, I was dead until lord Siegfried resurrected me to serve under his army. By the way, never trust a woman you’ve just met, if this was someone else, she could have killed you already.” It was at this moment I came to a decisive conclusion; this woman is not normal at all…

Getting back onto my feet, a cute little girl clad in a maid’s uniform appears at my door with a fresh set of clothes. “Master, please stand still.” She unfolds the clothes and starts to dress me up personally, “It’s fine really, I can do this myself.” The girl insisted and smiles happily as if it was an honor to serve me. Afterwards, she turned around to face Cleo and asked, “Will you be attending the meeting later General Cleopatra?” Cleo shakes her head and squeezes the girl’s cheeks, “YOU ARE SO CUTE!!! I CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF YOU LILY-CHAN!!!” I should probably leave… As I left I could vaguely hear Lily’s voice as she was relentlessly pinched by Cleo. “Sieg-sama, has ashked for you tui shee him at the garden.”

As I made my way to the garden located at the entrance of the palace, a passed by a man wearing a set of crystal white armor. He had blonde gold hair with a dashing smile across his face, upon seeing me, he stopped and bowed down towards me. “Good morning young master, I am Gawain, knight of the round table. I shall personally escort you to the garden if I may?” I nodded my head. How can I possibly refuse such a warm hearted and charming man, hold on I’m a guy, what’s up with his natural charisma, it’s messing up my mind, I’m straight not gay. Gawain looked at me puzzled, “Is every alright sir?” I nodded my head yet again as we made our way to the garden.

Upon arriving at the garden, Hanabi and Siegfried were sitting under a pavilion opposite one another. Hanabi was clad in a sparkling red dress with a ruby quartz necklace, I can’t seem to take my eyes off her as I became even more captivated by her flawless beauty. A hand suddenly slaps against my shoulder, “So the brother to be has arrived!” Reinhardt exclaims as he brings me to the pavilion. Hanabi turns around and rushes towards me quickly enveloping her arms around me, “Did you sleep well?” I nodded my head the third time and patted her head, “Still getting used to it, but it’s fine.” Misashi appears from behind and smiles, “Good morning Hanabi and Souta!” Hanabi instantly lets go of me and tightly hugs onto Misashi. “Misashi-chan~~”

My father, no Siegfried stood up and signals me to sit on the chair in-between him and Hanabi. After we all sat down and made ourselves comfortable, he raised his left arm, “Heed my call my warriors, I summon you!” Before us, three figures formed alongside Gawain and Reinhardt, amongst them was Cleo and two other warriors. “Please introduce yourselves to our guests.” Reinhardt steps forward and falls onto one knee, “I am Reinhardt Van Astrea, master of swords, I shall serve and protect those dear to lord Siegfried.” Next Gawain follows suit, “I am Gawain of the round table, knight of courage at your service.” The warrior in green plated armor with a giant lance looking weapon with a blade at the tip. “I am Guan Yu of Shu; my crescent dragon blade will cut down all foes before you my master.” The other warrior was completely topless with battle scars everywhere, luckily, he wasn’t in the nude down there but was dressed in leather lappets. “I am Spartacus defender of the oppressed, with my body as your weapon, victory will undoubtedly be ours.” Lastly Cleo approached me and sat on my lap, “I am Cleopatra, ruler of Egypt, if you want to know me more master, I’m all yours.” Siegfried let out a laugh as he looks at me, “Cleopatra never opens up herself with others so easily, she must have taken a liking for you.” Cleo looks back at Siegfried blushing before walking back towards the other warriors.

“Now that all these warriors have introduced themselves, they shall train you and make you a man fit of leading us all.” I never wanted any of this, I just want to kill the man who took my sister from me. “Why are we still waiting when the enemy is out there, I say we strike them when they are unaware.” Siegfried looks at me and grins, “We could however, you will be a burden to us all in your current state. Excalibur may be yours however as of now, you are an unworthy vessel. Unless you would like to join your sister, be my guest.” Siegfried gets up and orders the warriors to leave, “Now moving on to private matters. Son, you do like this Van Astrean right?” Hanabi stares at us blankly covering her blush on her face. “If that’s the case, I would like to arrange a marriage between the two of you. To develop a relationship with the house of Van Astrea, you shall be that bridge that connects us together!”

“Let’s not rush things, I’m not denying I love Hanabi but why the rush?” Hanabi nods her head in agreement. Siegfried looks towards Lily who was standing outside the pavilion, she then walks towards us and ushers Hanabi back to her own room. With Hanabi gone, the atmosphere around us darkens, I could sense Siegfried becoming more serious. “Souta, right now the Van Astrea have a bad reputation for themselves. I just want to make things right, we are harboring a criminal as we speak, if we don’t do this marriage right now, she is being a liability to us all.” I stare at him in disgust, “I know you have other motives, you might not care about her but I do. I won’t let you use her as a tool to get into the Van Astrea. What I have for Hanabi is real love, not some make believe bull crap, I’d rather die protecting her than to give her to you.”

“True love you say? That shit doesn’t exist anymore. That girl is the daughter of the notorious William Van Astrea, if we could use her as a connection into the house of Van Astrea, we could get rid of that vile beast from the inside. With his daughter in our hands, he would give in and surrender to us, her life doesn’t matter. Son, it was her family that got my wife, your mother, killed in the first place. You cannot stop me from avenging her death.” Siegfried gets up and storms back into the palace.

Back in my room, I saw Lily from a distance and approached her. “Hey errr Lily?” She looks at me and smiles passionately. “Yes? Young Master.” I scratched my head in embarrassment as I asked, “Could you tell me more about those warriors and Siegfried?” Lily looks down as if she was pondering whether to answer me truthfully or not, she then drags me by my sleeve back into my room. “Listen, the warriors are just spirits of the dead brought back to life by Siegfried, he has the power to bring back those who died but by using it, it weakens his body and mental health to the point that I don’t think he is able to resurrect people anymore. He tried to resurrect his love of his life but it was pointless, that was the last time he tried to use that power, ever since then he has confided himself to the palace, never leaving it.” I nodded my head, “So Reinhardt, he’s dead too?” Lily nods back before opening my room’s door, “That’s all I can say, anymore and I’ll be punished, I shall prepare the hot bath for you, young master.”

Suddenly, Reinhardt materializes before me, “So, you know I’m dead already, please don’t let Hanabi know. Anyways, training is pushed back to the afternoon, there’s been a meeting amongst us warriors.” He vanishes as quickly as he appeared. The old man, just what is he thinking, Lily said using the power affects his mental health and now Yukina is gone…He must be planning something, I have to find out before it’s too late. Excalibur appears behind me and lets out a sigh. “You know we are sort of connected, I can hear your thoughts. To be honest, you are right, he wasn’t like that before, using others to seek revenge. Something has changed in him, he isn’t the Siegfried I used to know. Souta, if anything were to happen, I’ll be by your side not on his, trust me alright?” Excalibur inches forwards giving me a kiss on the cheek before vanishing. I stood rooted and stunned by the sudden kiss before shaking my head, “MASTER! THE BATH IS READY!” Lily’s voice echoed along the corridor.

As I headed towards the bath room, Hanabi follows suit with Misashi beside her, “Hey! Souta! Let’s all bath together, I’ll give you another back rub if you want!” Hanabi embraces me from behind as we make our way to the bath. The room was white with gold patterned leaves etched along the walls, the bath was huge around the size of a swimming pool. Hanabi instantly strips nude and jumps into the water, “The water is so refreshing! Hey hey! Misashi, Souta quickly jump in!” I remove my top but decided to wrap a towel to cover myself waist down as basic courtesy towards girls. Misashi looks blankly at us as she started blushing, “Souta, don’t look please…” She removes her clothing revealing her stunning body, having seen it before, it still felt like a new experience as she was completely naked in front of me. Master using a shield for defense then we can move onto using a sword to defend.” Without a warning, he lunges at me with incredible speed and sends a fist flying towards me, I couldn’t react at all, he was simply too fast. I felt the full force of his fist crashing against my chest sending me flying backwards colliding hard against the wall of the field. “How slow, be faster come on!”

I got back onto my feet and advanced towards Reinhardt, “Again.” He smiled and leapt out at me again, this time I could see it coming and blocked his attack with my shield. However, his fist broke through the shield and came crashing into my chest again. The impact might have been less painful this time round but blood started forming in my mouth, “What’s the meaning of that.” Reinhardt smirked and replied, “You can defend but during a fight against empowered being like Tetsuya, what use does a shield provide? Lesson two, evading.” I let out a grin, this fucker, how I hate this guy already… Suddenly, the sound of horns could be heard as Reinhardt looked shocked, “Intruders are attacking the palace, they must have known you guys are here, who knew the Red Crimsons had balls to come this deep. Young master, I apologize but our lesson shall end here, follow me to the battlefield, time to show me your attacks, let’s go!” Finally! Time to get my revenge on that bastard…
