《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 276 Sun Tzu’s Revelations

A huge celebration ensued the return of the Greats of the Sun Alliance. An entire week was devoted to this event and nearly everyone was drunk on wine by the time the event ended with the general mood of the entire community more optimistic than before. Shortly after the celebration was when all the craziness and frantic new rules of the Sun Alliance went into effect. There were way too many to go over so Sun Tzu and the rest of the team drafted them all up before going public with the announcement of what of the old rules would be scrapped or modified and which of the new rules would be implemented.
This announcement was not something that only the Chinese community would be paying attention to, but also the top factions of many of the other communities would pay attention to the happenings of the speech that Sun Tzu would be making. If all of the new reforms were ones that could improve the standing and overall strength of the Chinese faction, then when the time came, the other communities would follow behind the Chinese. Tensions were sky-high when Sun Tzu went to broadcast his news to the entire community. There was an assembly of some of the most influential faction heads as his audience, but many more were watching from behind a screen.
(ST) “Ladies and gentlemen of the Chinese community and beyond, today I have come here to personally give you the changes we believe will benefit nearly everyone here in this community. However, for many of these changes, there will undoubtedly be some time before the benefits will become visible. That being said, the first thing that is to be implemented should come as no surprise since it should have been announced a few decades ago. One gigantic tournament every century, the next one being a solo style competition that one can only enter if they are invited.” Sun Tzu said as the audience that was in front of him began murmuring. He only caught snippets of some conversations only to be drowned out by the next conversation.

“When will we get the invitations?”
“How will the rewards be done?”
“This will be an interesting tournament if it is a solo competition.”
(ST) “Now, I’m sure you all have many questions, concerns, doubts, queries, and comments, but I assure you we will have the answers soon. The tournament does have a set date now and that will be in 46 years. There are many more matters that I have to address so let’s not dilly dally. Next up on our list is the tax system for our factions, basically, it will go up for only the top 50 factions while most of the other factions will hardly be affected.”
Another round of murmuring and annoyed tones later, Sun Tzu was allowed to continue with his speech.
“Please understand that there will be many benefits for those who aren’t in the top 50 but voluntarily does this. Moving on, my faction will roll out a 3 billion coin initiative to bring our community into someplace that matches some of the more advanced communities such as the American, British. This is partially why we need to raise the taxes, also, we will be recruiting quite a few extra external personnel for the job.”
This time, there were quite a couple of faction leaders and their subordinates that were shocked into silence. Even the second most wealthy faction in the community only made about half a billion coins a year, not to mention all of the wages they had to pay, taxes, and all that other stuff. After the initial shock, everyone continued to talk amongst themselves until a wave of Sun Tzu’s hand silenced them all.
(ST) “There will also be a lot of checks put in place so that there is little to no corruption that is going to be happening with this project. Also, if you would prefer it, the contribution that you provide to this initiative will allow you to be rewarded blueprints instead of coins. Now, this next one will be a rather shocking one, even bigger than the other ones that I have mentioned up until this point.”

Some more small chatter and quiet voices could be heard when Sun Tzu paused for a brief second to take a deep breath.
(ST) “I have arranged a competition between the top factions of the British, American, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, and Mongolian communities to have an exercise in seeing who will come out on top with the rules of the Death Match tournament in place.”
The room was now in a state of total panic as a reaction to what Sun Tzu had just told them. Never had anything of this magnitude ever been conducted ever. So it came as no surprise that those who had been around for a long time were speechless, and everyone else for that matter.
(ST) “Let me finish what I am saying first. This inter-community tournament will likely be the largest one to date, and that is why we want to try and make this the start of a tradition for only the strongest of factions. This was rather rushed so it may come as no surprise that it will not be as grand as it could be, but it will be held either in our community, or the Mongolian community after our solo tournament and before the Death Match tournament.”
No one in the community or those who were spying for other communities could have predicted such a big revelation. Especially not since their leader had not even been back for a month. However, even the elders of the Sun Alliance were surprised to news of such epic proportions. Even Li Guang had not been told of anything of this nature.
“Don’t fret everyone, part of the 3 billion initiative is so that we will be able to be more connected to not only our brothers but also our brothers from another community. This is the start of something that will revolutionize our community for the better. I am still in discussions with the leaders of the other communities as to where this event shall be held and what arrangements need to be made to get all of this into reality so please be patient. Thank you all for coming, there are a few other pieces of news but they will be posted on the news network for anyone interested. Have a great day,” Sun Tzu said as he left the room and went back to his office of which he dearly missed since he had left.
