《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 275 Return of the Legends

Just a little while after Jaxon started working for the Femme Fatale research group, news broke out that this was happening and it became a hot topic for a good little bit until the next big thing to hit the community. It was naturally the return of the Greats of the Sun Alliance. The elite of the elite. The ones that everyone looked up to. The ones to beat to get to the top of the community. A group of only the best. Headed by Sun Tzu, and his 3 most trusted allies; Sun Bin, Sun Wu, and Wu Zi Xu.
Wu Zi Xu was a master of the naval arts. A true titan to go up against. Nothing was able to get through his attention within the community when it related to matters of naval warfare. That was why he was eager to take on Madam Zheng and Zheng He. The two of their names had risen while he had been in the other communities but in the meantime, his name had been slightly forgotten and the weight of his name had dulled in the centuries he had gone. He aimed to change that by first taking both of them on and ending their pettiest of quarrels in one swift simulation.
Sun Bin had also been talked about less and less. Especially since he had been likely to succeed Sun Tzu long before Li Guang had risen to prominence. For now, he did not bother with the prospect of allowing others to say Li Guang was the second in line to the leadership of the Sun Alliance. However, this could change whenever he felt like it. There was a bit too much on his plate at the moment, plus, it would be highly unlikely that Sun Tzu would ever be replaced.

Before this centuries-long trip around the various other communities, he had never been interested in aerial warfare, however, that all changed as soon as he got into the American community and lay witness to all that aerial warfare had to offer. In just a few hundred years, he had become a master aerial strategist even within the American community, which was said to have the best aerial force in any community excluding Jordsand's.
Sun Wu, a most mysterious person. His story was one of great controversy. Shortly after the unexplained disappearance of Zhu Ge Liang, this person appeared and took up the post of one of the highest positions within the Sun Alliance decreed by Sun Tzu himself. Someone who was able to achieve this was someone of truly unparalleled talents, or bribing ability. Many speculated as to just who this mysterious person was. Possibly a spy from Jordsand, some other great strategist that posed as Sun Wu, and many others. However, this person quickly proved his worth when he took on some of the most elite, and most vocal about their discontent with Sun Wu, within the Sun Alliance and won without much effort.
And of course, Sun Tzu. The leader of the band of the biggest and most skilled strategists within the Chinese community, and the entire planet for that matter. A legend who took over the mantle of Overlord after the previous overlord who mysteriously disappeared and ushered in one of the greatest eras for the Chinese community to date. Not many dared to bad-mouth him, nor object to anything he had planned for the community. Although his character was that of compassion and understanding the actions of human beings, the sheer presence of him made many at a loss for words.
There were about 40 or 50 others that followed them on their trip around the world. Each had their own backstory and each of them was no stranger to death and the battlefield. Some of them had earned their way up to this position, some had submitted to Sun Tzu's power and given the position. This group was one of the wealthiest in the Chinese community. Their combined wealth easily exceeded 10% of the entire community. However, their posts were easily some of the most influential; ministers of just about every important aspect of the entire community were largely at their hands.

Effectively, the Sun Alliance was the government of the Chinese community, whatever they said goes. They were the rule makers and enforcers. The committee that decided everything that was to happen to any rule-breakers and miscreants. They were the first to seize this much power for themselves. Fortunately for the masses, Sun Tzu put many checks in place so that corruption existed minimally, unfortunately, these checks did not do much when Sun Tzu went away for centuries. Now, all that and even more was going to change.
This centuries-long expedition was something that was meant to be a learning experience for some of the most influential men in the Chinese community's scene. If these people were able to broaden their horizons and learn about all the tricks of the trade from the best of the other communities, then all the better. This was something that required the participants to all be in line with Sun Tzu's dream. If anyone of the thought differently, then they were replaced by someone who was. This placement of Sun Tzu's men into powerful positions sparked a backlash from the masses, however, that all ended when they themselves proved to be even more capable than their predecessors.
Now that they had seen what was possible, they had a rough idea of how it would need to be in the Chinese community to maximize everything from trade to nurturing of the young talents. This was certainly going to be a trial and error process to find out what was best for their people. The thought processes of these people were different than the ones from the Americans were different from those of the Koreans, and certainly different from those of the Russians. There was no one size fits all, but it was their duty to do everything in their power to make these changes for the best long term benefits as possible. Even if it meant that they would have to suffer in the short run.

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology.
