《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 269 Catching Up

In all of this time that Han Xin had been back, he had not had the time to have a serious talk with Baron about his journey to the Australian community. These two, along with Li Xin, went to go relax at a little cafe so that they would be able to catch up with each other regarding their own battles in their lives.
(BM) "So, Han Xin, how did you manage to get William Bridges out of our community and made it easier for us to win the aerial faction selection tournament? it must not have been easy given you three had never been there before," Baron started the conversation.
(HX) "Well, it certainly wasn't easy is truly an understatement. We managed to get in touch with one of the more prominent members of the parliament within the Australian community. They sure have mysterious customs there as many of the most influential people there were not known to the public." Han Xin replied.
(LX) "I have been to a few other communities and I don't think I have heard of anything as weird as this system that you have mentioned. I wonder what could be the case for it." Li Xin added.
(BM) "Must be rare if even Li Xin hasn't heard of it."
(HX) "Anyway, I would like to say we impressed him with our fighting abilities, but that was not the case. We were beaten by him like silly children. Instead, Xu Da was the one who somehow sweet-talked his way into letting this individual taking us in and hearing our request."
(LX) "I have heard that Xu Da and his mouth has often gotten him into trouble, but more so that he was able to make a lot of allies this way."

(BM) "Indeed, it's a good thing that it is the latter way this time around."
(HX) "Well, we had to exchange a few of our blueprints as well as teach a few of his disciples a few of our strategies in order for a decade then be a guest of their faction for a little while longer before we were able to get what we wanted. It took a bit of time, but I think that it was worth the trip."
(BM) "I think so too. It's good to have you back, even though you had to be subjected to our insane workload the moment you came back. Also, sorry that the leader position was decided upon to be me before even informing you."
(HX) "No worries, Baron. In fact, I'm kind of glad that you made this decision. I don't think I would have been able to do this even if Yue Fei and I split the duties evenly. I'm way too much of a lone wolf to do anything like this. The most recent trip to the Australian community was a bit too much for me."
(BM) "Now that everything has calmed down, I don't think we'll have to bother you that much anymore. However, I hope that you will still be around when we call for you?"
(LX) "Isn't he an inner circle member like me? Shouldn't he have a bit of responsibility as well?"
(BM) "Aside from his duties as the head of recruitment, which isn't that much of a burden anymore, I don't think he will have that much more duties."
(HX) "And I thank you for that. With what has been coming onto my table the last year or so, I think that with the number of new recruits we are getting as well as being promoted will be done every few months while I go and take care of other matters for now. Then we can go back to the original plan of promoting every decade or so."

(BM) "As long as you finish everything in a timely manner, I don't think that will really be a problem. However, if possible, would you be able to scope out a few more individuals to try and recruit for our faction? If you have the time of course."
(HX) "Who are you thinking of?"
(BM) "There are a few that I wish for you to go and assess but the list is still being compiled at the moment so you don't need to worry about it just yet."
(LX) "Hmm, is Liu Bang one of them?"
(BM) "I believe so why?"
(LX) "The Sun Alliance faction has been trying to get him to enter into our tryouts for our faction for the past century or so. However, he never responds and honestly, this is a bit of a mystery to us. It turns out that, unsurprisingly, there were a lot of factions vying for him. He is a great strategist no doubt, but I don't think he is worth all of this trouble."
(HX) "How will I be able to convince him to join us if some of the biggest factions out there fail to even get him to think about them?"
(BM) "I'm not saying you have to get him, just talk to him and see where it leads. Plus, he is not the only one on the list that I would like to recruit."
(LX) "For most of these guys, you will have to give them a great deal of fortune for them to even consider you. There are certainly titans among them, but many have failed to get them to join factions for a long time so most give up."
(BM) "Oh? You sure seem to know a lot about this subject, mind sharing with us anything else you might know?"
(LX) "You have to either beat them so hard that they want to follow you, or you have to give them a blueprint that few have, or something equally costly or sentimental to them. None of our higher-ups are able to fulfill these very easily so most of these potential new recruits get recruited to the other big-name factions."
(HX) "I don't think we can really satisfy those conditions unless the tales of Jaxon's mastery is to be believed."
(BM) "Let's save this conversation for another day. So, Li Xin. Where have you been off to recently?"
