《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 258 The Inner Circle

Jaxon went around the community and completed a few tasks that Baron had set upon him. Even if they were friends, Jaxon felt that there was a limit to how much he could tolerate anyone above him. The main reason that he had climbed to such a high military rank back when he was on Earth was due to his ambition of climbing to the very top. He had nearly reached his goal before he had a shocking realization. That in all of his earnest, he had made many enemies and not nearly enough allies to shield him from what was coming. Eventually, he was ousted and left to lead a normal life. That was certainly not what he had wanted and it was a stain on his honor that he had to die like a civilian.
He had ambitions on Earth, and now that he was on planet 4, those ambitions rose higher than ever before. There was really no reason for this other than the fact that this was just his personality. Jaxon was more driven than anyone to make it to the top, but he was unsure of whether or not Baron would be able to take both of them there. Even if Baron was able to, Jaxon felt like he would much rather do all of that on his own. No offense to Baron, but it wasn’t as if either of them were going anywhere anytime soon. So why not.
Once Jaxon had completed all of his tasks, he returned to the old HQ to finish moving the remaining things to the new HQ. Now that they had an official faction HQ, they no longer needed this one. As he got to the old residence, he saw that a group of 3 just entered inside. Quickly, he ran in to see who it was. Turns out, it was Han Xin, Xu Da, and Ban Chao who had just returned to the Chinese community and was wondering where all of their allies went. Jaxon greeted them as they had never met face to face.

(JL) “Hello, I am Jaxon Long, one of Baron’s close allies. Judging by you being able to get in here, are you 3 the ones who traveled all the way to the Australian community to get William Bridges out of the Chinese community?” Jaxon asked them.
(HX) “Indeed, we are them. Jaxon… I faintly recall Baron mentioning you a long time ago, but my memory is a bit hazy.” Han Xin said with a bit of uncertainty in his voice.
(BC) “Nice to meet you, Jaxon.” Ban Chao greeted Jaxon.
(XD) “Hmmm, so tell us, Jaxon, why are there some stuff missing from this place?” Xu Da said completely disregarding the customary norms.
(JL) “Well, we won the aerial faction selection tournament and now we have been granted a parcel of land from the Sun Alliance to live in and grow our faction, the Under 1 Banner faction.”
(HX) “No wonder, that is good news indeed. Looks like you haven’t gotten everything yet, come, we’ll give you a hand with all of this. There doesn’t seem to be much left.”
(JL) “Alright, sure. Let’s get this done as soon as possible and we can then celebrate your return as well as the forming of our new faction.”
(XD) “Now that is something that I can get behind.”
The 4 of them continued their chatter while simultaneously working on cleaning up the place from furniture and the few other possessions that they had. There was actually one more thing that Baron had Jaxon take care of, and that was to bring all of Zi Ji Ge’s belongings as well to the new HQ. Sometime during their training for the faction selection tournaments, Zi Ji Ge had left a note saying that she needed some time to get her head straight and figure everything out for herself. For once, without her brother. She has been gone for decades, but there was nothing else in the note about where she was headed or anything. The book that her brother had given to Baron which he returned to her was gone from her room.

It took them a while, but eventually, they managed to get everything and they all headed over to the new faction HQ. It was roughly an hour’s walk but none of them minded, after all, what was an hour to someone who had lived for a few thousand years? As soon as the group went inside, Baron was there to greet all of them.
(BM) “Han Xin, Xu Da, Ban Chao! Welcome back. You guys really delivered with your mission to Australia.” Baron said with a genuine smile.
(HX) “Of course, Baron. Jaxon was telling us about all of the amazing feats that you guys managed in the faction selection tournament. Well done, your growth is astounding, especially you and Yue Fei. I can’t wait for us to go at it again when we have the time.”
(BM) “That is a shared sentiment I am sure, but for now, there are more urgent matters to take care of. Namely, how we will attract new talents to our faction.”
(HX) “Right, let’s get to work. What have you all come up with so far and has anything been implemented?”
(BM) “Gather around the table where Guan Yu and Yue Fei are, over there is where we have everything laid out.”
(XD) “Hmm, these terms are quite beneficial, certainly not something that we can afford at the moment.”
(BC) “Let me take a look at that. Hmm. Xu Da is absolutely correct. Where will we get the funding for all of this?” He said as someone else came into the HQ.
(LX) “From me, Li Xin.” Li Xin announced.
(BM) “Is everything all tied up on your end?”
(LX) “Yes it is, from this point forth, I am no longer a member of the Sun Alliance faction, but rather, a member of the Under 1 Banner faction.”
(HX) “Li Xin, he is a rather… unique character.”
(BM) “Everyone, take a good look around here, everyone here, excluding me and Roxi, will be a member of the inner circle of U1B. This is the start of something fantastic.”

So expect a mix of slice of life and action and as always sex, lots and lots of sex.

The Apocalypse Show - Dungeon Core
There were lot's of ways that people had predicted that the world would end. A few even had it partially correct. But how could they have predicted it would be a combination of the system apocalypse and aliens. Specifially aliens that wanted to create the equivlant of a TV show about the system apocalypse on Earth. Arthur woke up with a headache and the option to create a character. Most people would have gone with the safe choice and selected to stay a human. Arthur suspected that wouldn't be the safe choice in his new world. Instead he decided to see what other races were available. Eventually he decided to become a dungeon core instead. Of course being a dungeon core comes with a number of challenges. Starting with the fact that he was a giant crystal instead of having a body, managing a bunch of unintelligent minons, and most importantly the reaction of his human neighbors when they discover him. If he can overcome these challenges he may be able to enjoy some of the benefits. Such as the fact that dungeon cores are immortal and he would eventually have an entire army of dungeon minions that would obey any of his commands. Perhaps even find some female companions that are looking for a safe place during the apocalypse. Warning: If this fiction was a movie I'd rate it R for occasional scenes of violence, gore, nudity, and sexual content. This isn't something you would find in the young adult section. This does not mean that this would be rated NC-17 or X, if that is what you are looking for try lewd dungeon.
