《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 223 Research And Development Specialist

Baron, Guan Yu, and Yue Fei were there to watch the last little bit of the tournament as they had not much else going on. However, they were shocked as much as the next fellow over how it ended. They were all made aware of the giant coalition against the Bair fighters with many claiming that they were already done for, next thing they knew, the Bair fighters were the winners once again. This was the general consensus among the people that stayed there to watch until the end. Once all of the action was said and done, the massive crowds dispersed to their own little groups to discuss the events that had occurred in the tournament that they had just witnessed in dining areas around the Sun Alliance area.
Baron pulled his two close allies back to the little place that they had found back when they had just finished the aerial portion of the tournament. As they were going in, they just so happened to see Lian Po and Li Mu of the Yellow Wang faction leaving. Li Mu left first without ever noticing them, but Lian Po locked his fierce gaze with Baron and began his approach.
(LP) “You must be that Baron fellow. Am I correct?” Lian Po said as he towered over the three.
(BM) “Yes, elder. You sure have some powerful students under your tutelage.” Baron responded with courtesy.
(LP) “Haha, if you wish to surpass them, then keep on getting stronger, I definitely look forward to the next generation of geniuses. You and that Zhang Da Zhi fellow.”
After saying that, he quickly left without giving Baron any chance to answer back. Baron and the other two gave each other confused looks and headed into the little establishment together.
(BM) “Guan Yu, Yue Fei, check this out,” Baron said as he got out the little orb that he and Roxi had been working on.

(YF) “Is that from the blueprint that Li Guang from the Sun Alliance gave to you?” Yue Fei asked in amazement.
(GY) “The thing that allows you to not be heard by others outside of the bubble? Interesting. Have you two figured it out then?”
(BM) “Well, it is a pretty simple blueprint after all. All Roxi had to do was get the correct parts and she was able to build it in a few minutes.”
(YF) “Then I take it that means she would rather follow the profession of research and development?”
(BM) “Yes, although she has been in wars and the journey that she had with us was nothing new for her, this is not where her passion lies.”
(GY) “Truly a shame, from what I had heard of her accomplishments, she would prove quite the asset if she were interested in being a strategist, or perhaps even a guard. Though she would have to be a long-distance guard and that might prove a bit difficult.”
(YF) “Being a fighter strategist might be another profession suited for her. After all, she is quite the long-range expert as evidenced by the deepstrike and sniper rifle precision that she showed over and over again.”
(BM) “Yes, I gave her all of these options as well. She said that for now, this is all she wants to do. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her so contempt before.”
(YF) “That’s all well and good, but there is one thing that is a problem here. Becoming a research and development specialist would require tons of coins to produce even one. Which we do not currently have the funds for.”
(BM) “I have also given some thought to this and I believe that there is one way for her to get the necessary training that she needs. What she is right now is only experimenting, that can only let her do so much. She needs some training and experience from someone who has been in the game for some time.”

(YF) “Yeah, so? What’s your point? Where are we going to find someone like that? Even if we are the hidden gems, I don’t think even a mid-tier R&D (research and development) specialist would train someone in our ranks, much less high-tier ones.”
(BM) “I get that, I have been here long enough to know how all of that works. My point is that we send her to someone that is our ally and who has their own R&D team, even if theirs is a bit lacking. The Forever Pirates headed by Madam Zheng.”
(GY) “You got one thing right, the Forever Pirates R&D team is definitely a bit lacking. Who knows if they will be able to teach Roxi anything more than the basics.”
(BM) “That’s why I’ll have to convince them.”
The three of them chatted for a bit longer, paid off their tab, and Baron went to have a meeting with Madam Zheng, his greatest ally. After going through all of the usual proceedings to the elders’ hall and all of that, he finally got to meet Madam Zheng and her two husbands. The FIrst husband was cold but far more experienced, while the second husband was a bit tamer but still a legend in the waters. However, the two of them could not compare to Madam Zheng who outshined both of them. The two others left so that Madam Zheng and Baron could chat.
(MZ) “What is it you wanted to talk about? I am quite busy dealing with traitors at the moment.” Madam Zheng said.
(BM) “This won’t take long, I just request for you to take in one of my allies so that she may become an R&D specialist. I’ll give you one of my most powerful blueprints, the deepstrike, in exchange for this if you can get some mid-tier or higher specialist to come to teach her.”
(MZ) “I have heard of your deepstrikes and they are indeed powerful. I’ll see what I can do. This is a pretty good deal for me.
(BM) “You have a few weeks to do this, then you’ll have your blueprint. With your aim, this could be one heck of an addition to your arsenal.”

His eyes had turned bloodshot and his hands shook with rage. “The first thirty…” “Shut up!” Genzo bellowed “How dare you help these disrespectful gaijin?” Flecks of spit and madness flew from his face, his fist raised ready to strike. But Emi did not flinch, instead she was about ready to continue when Yuma Takeuchi interrupted her. “Uchida, please,” her sweet sounding words could melt ice. “I think we will have a better chance of getting home if we all work together.” When she glanced up with her sleepy looking eyes at Genzo Uchida he deflated visibly. “Were not getting home.” Uchida said coolly. “Group summoning, large, that puts us in the 60 series. No one came to greet us after five minutes of arrival. That leaves scenarios 68 and 69. In scenario 68 there is something that binds the large group together; they are all classmates or a single family. But thanks to the gaijin” he spit out the word “I think we are scenario 69 with no way home.” Ikko Inoue’s eyes went wide, while Katsukno and Hayata started muttering to themselves. Tim took on a serious look and rubbed his scruffy chin. Emi maintained her stoic expression while trying to find something to refute. McKenzie glanced at Randall and giggled. Randall took the prompting of his teammate and followed up by approaching Genzo. “Uh, so we are in a sixty-nine?” “Yes.” Replied Genzo with the seriousness of someone who’s life was about to end. McKenzie covered her mouth and snickered. “You and me, were stuck in a sixty-nine situation?” Randall pushed with a grin. “Yes, we are all stuck in a sixty-nine scenario together!” Genzo retorted in anger. McKenzie fell on her butt laughing. “What the hell is so funny?” Demanded Genzo, whose face had turned red. “It’s a problem with the automatic translation.” Retorted Tim. Randall, who seemed unable to quit started in again “So, about this sixty-ni…” Genzo interrupted Randall with a swift punch to the face. But, because of their height difference it was a bit of an uppercut that left Randall rattled. Tim and Ikko moved to step in between the two, but Genzo showed no further hostility. Instead he just stared at his clenched fist with such intensity it grabbed the attention of the room. “I unlocked a skill.” He said bluntly. ***************************** This is not a light novel, but people who like light novels should enjoy the themes of this book. ***************************** A Map of the Region
