《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 185 Matchups

400,000 soldiers of Xuan Feng and his allies were now up against Baron and his temporary allies’ 600,000 men strong force. Such a development was not exactly common, especially with someone as low reputation as Baron and Zhang Da Zhi against someone of as high importance of Lian Po’s all-star lineup. This battle was going to be the main attraction for those who were outside of the simulation spectating as there wasn’t anything nearly as entertaining as this one right here.
The 4 leaders of each of Baron’s mega alliances got together to decide who would fight whom of the opposing side. This would have a crucial impact on the battlefield because if they did not make the correct matchup, there would be horrendous consequences. There was no doubt that Baron and his team would be the ones to go up against Xuan Feng as they were the only ones who had experience with this tricky strategist. This battle would be one where both sides would have to 150,000 men clashing violently against each other.
Next up was Zhang Da Zhi, Qi Ji Guang, and Ding Lai Hang. These three would be in charge of taking on both Jiang Yan, the master bow, and Jie Zi Fang, the glaive master. Again, this battle would have nearly the same amount of soldiers on both sides with a total of 200,000 each. Now, this lineup was a bit of a gamble as facing off against two such all-stars would prove to be difficult, but they had no choice in the matter as they had to bet everything on the last matchup being as advantageous for them as possible.
The two alliance leaders named Commander Ke and Commander Ba. Together their forces combined to become a cohesive 150,000 man army. Their opponent was the most difficult out of any of all-stars. Lun Hu, the swordmaster, was an absolute legend. Although he held the title of an all-star just like his allies, he was, in fact, the closest to Lian Po in terms of skill out of any of them. Even if he numbered less than his opponents, he would almost always find a way around it. His most legendary feat was outsmarting one of the other all-stars from the Sun Alliance and turning around the situation and managing to win despite being outnumbered 7:1.

Lun Hu was no doubt the most troublesome out of the 4, but it didn’t mean he was undefeatable, everyone had their weaknesses, and if there weren’t any to exploit, a well-trained strategist would create one. This battle was anticipated to be bloodiest out of all of them and it included the least amount of men participating. The two commander’s 150,000 against Lun Hu’s 50,000. Surprisingly, the two commanders were more excited than scared that they were facing off with the legendary Lun Hu.
Both sides got into position as dictated by Baron’s letter to Xuan Feng. Xuan Feng followed the instructions that he had been given, and although this was a rare occurrence on the battlefield, he did indeed do this to Baron as well on their first battle as well. To him, this was just allowing Baron to set all of the circumstances and that’s it.
The battle would be split up into three battlefields. There would be 3 armies lined up right next to each other a little bit apart that would consist of one center army, on the left and one right. On Baron’s side, he would be in the middle army while Zhang Da Zhi would be on the left army and the two commanders on the right flank. Logically, this would mean that Xuan Feng would be in the middle army, with Lun Hu on the left and Jiang Yan/Jie Zi Fang on the right. Xuan Feng’s left would do battle with Baron’s right, and vice versa while the two of their armies would clash in between the other two battlefields.
No matter how prepared they could be, Baron and the rest of his team could not shake the feeling that fighting Xuan Feng a second time would be a bit more of a headache than the first. Although they had fought before, it wasn’t difficult for a strategist to have two or more different styles that they could use to throw the enemy off on their tracks. In fact, this was why they had to be even more careful about what they committed to now. On Baron’s side would be Baron himself, Meng Wu, his 15 or so remaining men, Guan Yu, Yue Fei, Chen Di, countless slightly less skilled strategists, but no Roxi.

Roxi wasn’t with them not because she wouldn’t be a huge asset, but because she would be better off securing their chance to take out Lun Hu. This was the exact reason why they had Lun Hu be placed on that side because the mountain range where they were close to was where Roxi was hiding and she would be able to take shots at Lun Hu. They relied on this plan because Lun Hu is known to fight right on the front lines along with his team and would have his deputies take care of the overall battlefield most of the time.
However, when he did control his entire army, they were nearly unmatched in terms of skill and power. All of his soldiers were drilled until they could physically not react instantaneously to any situation and Lun Hu took great pride in this. If Roxi was to have any chance of taking down Lun Hu, she would have to take him out while they were still unaware of her presence. Roxi wouldn’t have many chances to succeed, so she had to mentally prepare herself for overkill. She was armed with her favorite Barrett M82a1 sniper rifle that she had familiarized herself for decades with and took aim at Lun Hu’s camp. First, she had to find out what this Lun Hu fellow looked like.

Tales of Light
These are a collection of short stories following different narratives. It's more like a playground and experimenting with ideas or subjects I don't want to write a complete story about. It's also a place to test my skills as a writer. Think of it as a notebook of un/finished ideas. Feel free to pick and choose which chapters to read. They aren't related unless specifically said otherwise. Just relax, enjoy, and cringe at goofy stories. There may be a timeline of events, or not... who knows?

Words I Left Unsaid
"Like a treasure map in a bottle, We were slowly drifting apart, Mother Nature sailing our purpose out to sea, The more I got to know you, I realised how much of a hoax your devotion was, Almost as fake as the smile I paint across my shattered face."This collection of poetry releases trauma in the form of expression - mainly the words I could never build up the courage to say. Most of these poems present conflict of the mind and allude to mental health struggles, which may be relatable to a certain community of people.Ranks -#3 in poem#3 in poembook#8 in poetry collection #7 in sadpoems#6 in poemcollection #7 in wisdom #15 in poetic
